Penn Hills man arrested, accused of assault outside family court in Pittsburgh
A man from Penn Hills was arrested Wednesday and is accused of an assault that happened outside family court in Pittsburgh.
The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office says Marlon McMillan, 38, was arrested following the alleged assault that took place outside the Family Court Center in Downtown Pittsburgh.
McMillan is accused of yelling at the mother of his two children and trying to convince the two children to go with him instead of her following a hearing related to a protection from abuse order.
The Sheriff's Office says McMillan hit the woman and one of the children before grabbing the other child by the neck.
All three individuals received medical attention at the scene, the Sheriff's Office said.
McMillan was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and is facing several charges including aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of children.

Family, friends gather for balloon release to honor teens killed in Limerick Township crash
It was an emotional day for family and friends of the three teens who were killed in a crash Wednesday following a police chase in Limerick Township. Loved ones of Gabriel Cooper, 17, Nasir Youk, 17 and Siniyah Newsuan, 17, came together for a balloon release to honor their lives two days after their deaths. "We have to hold onto those beautiful memories," said Meelin Youk, Nasir's aunt. Over 100 people were in attendance for the balloon release in Spring City, where the kids grew up. Nasir Youk and Newsuan were rising juniors at Owen J. Roberts High School. Cooper was also a former student of the district. Their teachers and classmates were also present during the balloon release. In attendance was also Nasir Youk's mother, who is heartbroken over the loss. "This is just unbelievable," Angela Andrews, Nasir Youk's mother, said. "He was a good kid. He was a good kid. He was just living a full life as a kid would. This is unfortunate. I'm upset. Surveillance video captured the moment before the crash shows a car speeding down Ridge Pike with police not far behind. According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, the teens were connected to a potential theft at a nearby Target. Nasir Youk's grandmother, Meejain Youk, believes her grandson should still be alive. "Why didn't you stop them at the door?" she said. "Why did you wait until they got in the car, and then the police had the license plate number. They did not have to pursue," she said. "The reason they ran is because they were afraid." Andrews said the family has yet to speak with police or the DA's office about what happened, but she hopes they can get answers soon. "The detectives or whoever was supposed to call me back never called me back," she said. CBS News Philadelphia reached out to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office regarding the family's concerns about the police chase, but a spokesperson said the police couldn't comment because it's still an active investigation.

Pennsylvania Game Commission leading search after bear spotted in Bucks County
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has confirmed that a young bear was spotted roaming around Middletown Township. Officials say they plan to safely trap the bear and relocate it. Middletown Township police said the bear that was first seen Thursday was spotted again Friday at the Our Lady of Grace Cemetery; however, it has since left the area. Ring camera footage from nearby homes has helped track the bear's movements, police said. Police believe there is likely only one bear, though they are not ruling out the possibility of another. "We are not trying to kill it," Middletown Township police wrote on social media. "We also don't want it getting hit by a car or hurting someone, so this is the best thing for everyone. The police department said it planned to use a drone to assist in locating the animal. Students at Maple Point Middle School and Core Creek Elementary were briefly kept indoors out of an abundance of caution during the search. While the township's community park remains open, police said that could change if the bear is seen nearby. The Pennsylvania Game Commission is leading the search and has been monitoring bear activity in the township for the past week. Officials said the region has seen an uptick in young bears traveling alone as they look for a place to settle. However, not every bear encounter results in relocation. The commission said sometimes they monitor the bears and let them pass through, and other times, when needed, they will step in. While there are currently no traps set in Middletown, officials said one has been placed in Pennsburg, Montgomery County, where a bear was seen eating mulberries in a tree. Anyone who sees the bear is urged to call 911 immediately.
