Yahoo30-03-2025

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) — Businesses impacted by the East Palestine Train Derailment over two years ago can still apply for loans through state funding.
The East Palestine Emergency Support Program was created to provide loans to businesses impacted by the February 2023 train derailment. Loans can be used to assist with ongoing expenses and recovery efforts. In total, $5 million was made available through the program.
For-profit and non-profit businesses located within a two-mile radius of East Palestine that were operational on or before Dec. 1, 2022, are eligible to apply. The loans are 0% interest and range from $10,000 to $1 million. The loans are forgivable if utilized for payroll, employee benefits, rent or mortgage payments, utility expenses, worker protection, or inventory replacement expenses related to the train derailment.
As of last May, 26 businesses have received support totaling more than $4 million through the program.
Eligible businesses can apply through the online application.

Ground broken for new home in Campbell as part of development project

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WKBN) – It's a first in the City of Campbell, aimed at meeting an urgent need. There was a ceremonial groundbreaking Wednesday morning for a brand new home on Whipple Avenue. 'When we have a shortage of housing, and especially that doesn't break people's bank accounts,' said Deb Flora, with the Mahoning County Land Bank. It marks the first time the Mahoning County Land Bank, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation and City of Campbell have worked together on a housing project. Money for this development is coming from a new project from the state known as 'Welcome Home Ohio,' which was created to help working class, middle-income families buy affordable housing. 'At a time where housing construction is very expensive, the Welcome Home Ohio dollars are making it affordable for us, as the developer, to get it done and then there's also a requirement from the state that we can't sell this house for more than $180,000,' Flora said. She says they have to sell the home to a household that is at or below 80% of the average median income. Mahoning County has already received more than $7 million from this program, which will pay for 31 projects around the county. It's the second groundbreaking this month, following one in Struthers last week, with half a dozen more in Youngstown. In this particular case, the land bank purchased this property in 2017 and tore the existing house down. 'I mean, it's going full cycle from being a blighted property that creates negative energy and is kind of a contagion on the block, removing it, the interim use was a green vacant lot,' said Ian Benniston, with YNDC. Now Mayor George Levendis hopes this, along with a revitalization effort of businesses on nearby 12th Street, could help attract new residents to the city. 'This is a first step and, hopefully, there's going to be many more of these kind of houses,' he said. Organizers hope lawmakers will continue funding the Welcome Home Ohio program in the next state budget. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Farmer Mac Closes $300.1 Million Securitization of Agricultural Mortgage-Backed Securities (AMBS)

WASHINGTON, June 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (Farmer Mac; NYSE: AGM and AGM.A), the nation's secondary market provider that increases the accessibility of financing for American agriculture and rural infrastructure, announced today that it has completed a $300.1 million securitization of agricultural mortgage loans. This is Farmer Mac's sixth transaction in the FARM series since 2021. "The successful completion of our latest securitization transaction underscores our commitment to being a frequent issuer and developing a vibrant and liquid AMBS market," said President & Chief Executive Officer, Brad Nordholm. "Our FARM securitization program is central to our core mission to improve credit accessibility in rural America, and we aim to continue this momentum by identifying and delivering new opportunities for investors." The mortgage pool for FARM Series 2025-1 consists of 350 agricultural mortgage loans with an aggregate outstanding principal balance of approximately $300.1 million. The loans in the pool were underwritten to Farmer Mac's industry-leading standards that focus on repayment capacity through stressed inputs. This deal included a $277.6 million senior tranche guaranteed by Farmer Mac and a $22.5 million unguaranteed subordinate tranche. The senior tranche reflects an enhanced sophistication of the securitization by offering notes in three classes, A, A1, and A2, each of which are guaranteed by Farmer Mac. These three guaranteed classes provide for differing principal repayment cashflows, which provided more investment options and drove new investor demand. "We're extremely pleased with the strong execution and enthusiastic market response, especially amid recent market volatility," said Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Aparna Ramesh. "The continued support from our investor base and sustained demand for agricultural mortgage loans provide ample liquidity to introduce new products that align with our mission fulfillment." Stem, Inc. Announces 1-for-20 Reverse Stock Split

HOUSTON, June 11, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Stem, Inc. (NYSE: STEM) (the "Company" or "Stem") today announced that it will implement a 1-for-20 reverse stock split of the issued and outstanding shares of the Company's common stock, effective at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time on June 23, 2025 (the "Effective Time"), in order to regain compliance with the minimum average closing price requirement under the rules of the New York Stock Exchange (the "NYSE"). The Company's common stock is expected to begin trading on a reverse split-adjusted basis as of the opening of trading on June 23, 2025 under the Company's existing trading symbol "STEM" with new CUSIP number 85859N300. The Company's stockholders approved a reverse stock split at a ratio of between 1-for-10 and 1-for-20 at the Company's Annual Meeting of Stockholders held on June 4, 2025. The Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") subsequently determined the final reverse split ratio on June 9, 2025. At the Effective Time, every 20 shares of the Company's issued and outstanding common stock will be automatically combined into 1 share of common stock. This is expected to reduce the number of issued and outstanding shares of common stock from approximately 167 million to approximately 8.4 million. Also at the Effective Time, the number of authorized shares of the Company's common stock will be reduced from 500,000,000 to 250,000,000. In addition, adjustments proportionate to the 1-for-20 split ratio will be made to the number of shares of common stock available for issuance under the Company's equity incentive plans; the number of shares issuable, and the applicable exercise prices under the Company's outstanding equity awards under such plans and any outstanding warrants; the conversion rates of outstanding convertible notes, in accordance with the related indentures; the strike prices of existing capped call options; the number of shares authorized for issuance pursuant to the convertible notes and capped call options; the shares reserved for issuance under any equity plan, outstanding equity award, convertible notes, capped call options or otherwise, and as otherwise described in the Company's proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 23, 2025 (the "Proxy Statement"). The reverse stock split will affect all stockholders uniformly and will not alter any stockholder's percentage interest in equity, except to the extent that the reverse stock split would result in a stockholder owning a fractional share. No fractional shares will be issued, if, as a result of the reverse stock split, a stockholder would otherwise become entitled to a fractional share because the number of shares of common stock they hold before the reverse stock split is not evenly divisible by the split ratio. Instead, each such stockholder will be entitled to receive a cash payment in lieu of a fractional share. Computershare Trust Company, N.A., is acting as the exchange agent and transfer agent for the reverse stock split. Stockholders holding their shares electronically are not required to take any action to receive post-split shares. Stockholders owning shares through a bank, broker or other nominee will have their positions adjusted to reflect the reverse stock split and will receive payment for any fractional shares in accordance with their respective bank's, broker's, or nominee's particular processes. Additional information about the reverse stock split can be found in the Proxy Statement and on the Company's Investor Relations website at Forward-Looking Statements This press release, as well as other statements we make, contains "forward-looking statements" within the meaning of the federal securities laws, which include any statements that are not historical facts.
