Arnold Schwarzenegger is an actor best known for his role in the "Terminator" franchise and is the former governor of California. After his political run, he continued to act in movies like 'Escape Plan,' 'Sabotage' and two additional 'Terminator' films.
Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947 in Austria to parents Aurelia and Gustav. Before getting into acting, he was a bodybuilder and won his first amateur Mr. Universe title in 1967. After that, he moved to California to compete in bigger events and won multiple Mr. Universe titles and won Mr. Olympia six years in a row.

After that, he continued to act in movies like 'The Villain,' 'Scavenger Hunt,' 'Conan the Barbarian' and 'Conan the Destroyer,' which all led up to the 1984 movie 'The Terminator,' where he played the leading role. This movie is where Schwarzenegger's famous line, 'I'll be back' originated. He acted in four additional 'Terminator' movies, 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' in 1991, 'Terminator 2: Rise of the Machines' in 2003, 'Terminator Genisys' in 2015 and 'Terminator: Dark Fate' in 2019.

In 2003, Schwarzenegger was elected governor of California in a recall election. The Republican governor stayed in office until 2011. After he left office, he continued to act in movies like 'The Last Stand,' "Escape Plan" with Sylvester Stallone. 'Sabotage' and two additional 'Terminator' movies.
Schwarzenegger was married to television journalist Maria Shriver in April 1986 and they had four kids together, Katherine, Christina, Patrick and Christopher. Venmo taps ‘White Lotus' stars for push beyond peer-to-peer payments

Venmo, the digital payments platform owned by PayPal, launched a new campaign featuring 'The White Lotus' stars Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger meant to celebrate the app's various commerce solutions, according to a press release. A 60-second spot set to a remixed version of the Black Sheep song 'The Choice Is Yours' follows Wood and Schwarzenegger as they dance their way through various scenarios where they seamlessly make purchases using Venmo. The campaign will appear across culturally relevant touchpoints including TV during the NBA finals, social media, podcasts and gaming platforms. The effort arrives as the platform's commerce tools, including Pay with Venmo and the Venmo Debit Card, report double-digit growth. Venmo is touting its full range of commerce capabilities for its latest campaign, an effort that is joined by the unveiling of several new benefits for consumers who use their Venmo balance beyond the peer-to-peer payments for which the platform is best known. The push comes as adoption of digital payments grows. Roughly nine in 10 consumers in both the U.S. and Europe report having made some form of digital payment over the past year, with the U.S. reaching a new high at 92%, according to McKinsey. At the center of the campaign is a 60-second spot, directed by Tajana Tokyo, that begins with Wood asking Schwarzenegger, 'I thought Venmo was for paying people?' when she observes the star using his Venmo balance to book a rideshare. Schwarzenegger responds, 'Yeah, and for everything else.' The duo then erupts into a dance number, supported by a fresh refrain for 'The Choice Is Yours' ('You can Venmo this, you can Venmo that'), as they use Venmo to make a swath of purchases. Over 64 million U.S. consumers use Venmo each month for tasks like splitting meals, sending birthday gifts and paying their portion of rent, per release details. However, traction is growing for its other payment features. Total payment volume for its Pay with Venmo feature, which allows consumers to pay in-store, online and in-app using Venmo, was up over 50% in the first quarter and monthly active cardholders of the Venmo Debit Card grew 40%. The platform's revenue saw a 20% lift year-over-year in Q1, while monthly active accounts grew 30%. Enlisting Wood and Schwarzenegger for the effort could help Venmo extend to new audiences and grow loyalty. 'The White Lotus' is currently experiencing a surge in popularity and has built one of the largest followings of any HBO series. Other digital payment platforms have emphasized their shopping solutions, including PayPal, which launched its largest-ever U.S. advertising campaign in terms of spend and scale last year with Will Ferrell to showcase how easy it is to shop using its platform and Debit Mastercard. A year prior, Apple launched a 'Pay the Apple Way' campaign promoting its Apple Pay service. To support its campaign, Venmo also revealed limited-time cash back offers for brands popular among its users. Venmo Debit Card holders can earn 15% cash back from Sephora, Walmart, Lyft, McDonald's and Walgreens. They can make purchases more easily with new features including tap-to-pay, automatic transfers and zero international transaction fees. Additionally, Venmo expanded its presence at checkout in-app and online, allowing consumers to pay using Venmo at brands including Instacart, Domino's, Uber and TikTok Shop. Arnold Schwarzenegger comments on ‘shock' of seeing son Patrick's ‘weenie' in The White Lotus

Arnold Schwarzenegger has spoken out about watching his son in , revealing he was shocked at the show's nude scenes. The father and son recently participated in Variety's Actors On Actors interview series. Whilst in conversation with each other, Arnold told his son: 'I couldn't believe [it]. I said to myself, 'I'm watching your show, and I'm watching your butt sticking out there.' And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. What is going on here? This is crazy.' 'Then I said to myself, 'Well, Arnold, hello. You did the same thing in Conan and Terminator, so don't complain about it',' the star went on. 'But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely.' The actor-turned-politician also commended his son's acting chops. 'Your acting surprised the hell out of me. Not that I didn't know you're good. But it was just unbelievable, the kind of stuff that you did in the show.' Patrick played the character Saxon, whose incest storyline with his younger brother was one of the season's most talked about plot twists. The actor's brother-in-law Chris Pratt previously commented on watching Schwarzenegger's nude scenes, : 'I know where my eyes went — I'm not blood related to him, I was looking at that dick, bro.' 'No, he looks amazing,' Pratt went on, before praising his Schwarzenegger's acting skills as well. 'Obviously, he's a physical specimen, but also he's a really solid actor, because the character he's playing is completely different than who he is. 'He created a character. And it feels natural and good. I've been telling everybody for years, I've been telling him as well, I really think we're entering a decade of Patrick.' The star's The White Lotus co-star Charlotte LeBon revealed that 'Well obviously they're not brothers by blood, so that made it easier. I think for Patrick it was really difficult,' LeBon told Vulture earlier this year. For Sam, he was kind of like, 'it's whatever, let's just do it well one time and it will be over'. You know? Because if you don't do it well the first time then you have to do it over and over again. 'But Patrick's reaction in the episode is his genuine reaction. We all thought he was going to throw up. And Sam was like, 'It's fine, it's just a kiss, calm down!' The post Arnold Schwarzenegger comments on 'shock' of seeing son Patrick's 'weenie' in The White Lotus appeared first on Attitude.

Patrick Schwarzenegger talks about the ‘baggage' of having famous parents. Why he's set on making a name for himself.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is done with claims that he's a nepo baby. Instead of fighting the label, he's reluctantly come to accept it — but on his own terms. While chatting with his movie star father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, for Variety's "Actors on Actors" interview published on Tuesday, Patrick discussed the challenges of being seen as an actor in his own right. Patrick's mother, Maria Shriver, is a journalist and member of the Shriver and Kennedy families. The 31-year-old actor garnered acclaim for his portrayal of Saxon Ratliff, a narcissistic finance bro turned introspective sad boy, on Season 3 of The White Lotus. The anthology series, written and created by Mike White, is a social satire built around the guests and employees at a luxury resort. 'Mike White said that it comes with baggage, the idea that when you have successful parents like I do with you and mom, there's an added level of what other people think. Mike was worried about, if he cast me, what other people would think,' Patrick told Arnold of carrying the Schwarzenegger name. 'Which they did — they did care about that; people said that I got the role because of you and mom.' Patrick had contemplated dropping the Schwarzenegger name altogether. 'There were times earlier in my career where I was wondering, does it make sense to go under some sort of alias?' he said. 'It took a while for me to get to a point where I was less worried about, like, comparison and living in your shadow versus me just wanting to carve my own path and wanting to do it the way I thought I should do it.' Arnold told his son, 'You have never asked me to call a studio or to call an agent. You never asked me for advice when it comes to acting itself. You're a rare breed, and I'm very, very proud of you.' This isn't the first time Patrick has discussed the pitfalls of coming from a famous family. For his February 2025 cover story with the Sunday Times, the actor spoke candidly of the 'blessings and curses' of having such a recognizable surname, and how the nepo baby label minimizes the work he put into securing the role of Saxon on The White Lotus. 'I know there are people who'll say I only got this role because of who my dad is,' he said. 'They're not seeing that I've had 10 years of acting classes, put on [high] school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions I've been on.' Patrick admits to having moments where he wishes he weren't a Schwarzenegger. Those moments are fleeting though. 'I would never trade my life with anyone," he told the Sunday Times. "I'm very fortunate to have the life and the family that I have, the parents I have and the lessons and values they've instilled in me.' Born and raised in Los Angeles, Patrick's earlier acting credits include Stuck in Love, the love interest in Ariana Grande's 2013 music video for 'Right There,' Scream Queens, Moxie and Gen V. The actor's pushback against claims that he's a nepo baby — even after talking in the "Actors on Actors" segment about why he doesn't think he is — has generated controversy online. On X, many users criticized Patrick's comments, calling him a nepo baby who refuses to acknowledge it. Others, including his White Lotus costar Aimee Lou Wood, with whom he recently reunited, have been quick to come to his defense. 'Patrick Schwarzenegger says it's 'frustrating' that 'there are people who'll say I only got ['THE WHITE LOTUS'] role because of who my dad is.' … And then bringing his dad along on his Emmy campaign,' one X user wrote, while another said, 'I don't know how to explain it, but Patrick Schwarzenegger has the most pure energy. Just golden retriever, happy to be here, the most un-nepo baby to ever nepo baby.' Wood, meanwhile, called Patrick the 'hardest working and kindest man ever' in an Instagram Story in May that she posted alongside a clip of him speaking about how it feels to be told he only got his White Lotus role 'cause his dad's in the industry.' Other children of celebrities and prominent figures who've been dubbed nepo babies have chosen to chart a course different from Patrick's: They've parted ways with their famous last names. While chatting with Kate Hudson and her brother Oliver on their podcast, "Sibling Revelry," former first lady Michelle Obama spoke about how her daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23, with former President Barack Obama, 'don't want people to assume they don't work hard' or 'that they were handed things.' Malia, according to Michelle, goes by Malia Ann, her first and middle names. The 26-year-old filmmaker decided to drop her famous moniker from the short film she debuted at Sundance Film Festival in 2024. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh Jolie, 19, debuted her new nickname, 'Shi' last month. The change comes a year after she petitioned to drop her father's surname. Vivienne, 16, another one of Jolie and Pitt's daughters, followed in her older sister's steps. She worked as a producer's assistant for The Outsiders, and her name was listed as 'Vivienne Jolie' in the Playbill. Nepo babies are celebrating their famous parents with the 'Holy Airball' trend on TikTok in which famous or wealthy teens and 20-somethings share an incorrect assumption or expectation made of them, followed by a humblebrag about how successful they actually are. The name of the trend is a reference to basketball, when a player egregiously misses scoring a basket. While many celebrity children are embracing their nepo baby status, others are reluctant. As Patrick demonstrates, there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution to navigating life as a celebrity offspring.
