Joy Behar landed in hot water when a joke about a decades-old scandal fell flat.
"The View" host took a comedic jab at former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger during the April 29 episode, saying if you date a man with his physique, "he's going to leave you for the housekeeper anyway."
The quip was met with almost immediate boos from the audience, to which Behar's "View" co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin responded: "Too soon! It's only been 30 years!"
Behar's comments came in response to a segment that saw the co-hosts discussing their ideal physique for a male partner. Shrugging off the idea of a chiseled, six-pack clad mate, Behar said: "You have to be perfect if they're perfect. I prefer a man who's not perfect. I'm not perfect."
"I like them to be legally blind even. That helps," she joked, adding, "I mean, if you get a guy like Arnold Schwarzenegger, he's going to leave you for the housekeeper anyway."
Schwarzenegger famously had an affair in the mid-1990s with his then-housekeeper, Mildred Baena, which resulted in a child and the end of his marriage to Maria Shriver.
Joseph Baena, Schwarzenegger and Baena's son, went on to compete on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2005.
In her recent book, "I Am Maria," Shriver chronicled the emotional end to her marriage and how she moved toward healing.
"As I sat on the hotel room floor in the dark, terrified and alone with tears streaming down my face, I thought to myself: Maria, this doesn't have to be the end of the you. It can't be the end of you. Make it a new beginning of you," she wrote.
In an hourlong conversation on "The Oprah Podcast," following the book's release, Shriver also told Oprah Winfrey that recounting it was still "an emotional thing for me."
"I wanted to know how that had happened to me. I wanted to know who I could be moving forward," she told Winfrey, "I think Arnold and I have a great relationship now, and I think there will always be a love there."

Julianne Hough Shares Intimate Video of Her 'Egg-Freezing Journey': 'Navigating Fertility Is Never Simple'

Julianne Hough shared a video on Instagram revealing that she's undergoing her third round of egg freezing "Here we go. All in the name of having a little baby," the Dancing with the Stars alum said in the clip Hough described the process as "one of the most vulnerable experiences… physically, emotionally, and for sure hormonally"Julianne Hough is sharing her journey to becoming a mother one day. The Dancing with the Stars alum revealed that she was freezing her eggs in a video offering an intimate look at the process, which she shared on her Instagram on Saturday, June 7. 'Here we go,' Hough said in the video that she dubbed her "egg freezing journey," noting it was 'all in the name of having a little baby.' The video takes viewers through the course of 10 days, where Hough is seen smiling and dancing while she injects herself. She is also seen going to doctor's appointments. Hough went into greater detail in a lengthy caption accompanying the video, thanking Dr. Carolyn Alexander and her team at Southeast Crescent Regional Commission, which specializes in fertility care and helping to create families, according to its website. 'Navigating fertility is never simple, especially with endometriosis and my own personal timeline and hopes around having children… but with them, I've always felt safe, supported and fully informed,' she wrote, adding that this was now her third round of egg freezing.'I know it's not always the most comfortable thing to talk about, let alone share publicly. But I've realized how important it is to open up about these things,' she continued. 'Women all over the world are quietly walking into doctors' offices, making huge, brave decisions about their bodies and their futures.' Hough described the process as "one of the most vulnerable experiences… physically, emotionally, and for sure hormonally." She further reflected on why she wanted to be so transparent with her fans. 'If sharing just a small piece of my journey helps someone feel less alone, or inspires them to ask questions and explore what's right for them, then I feel like it's worth it,' she wrote. In a 2020 interview with Women's Health, Hough shared that her endometriosis — which is a reproductive condition in which uterine tissue grows outside of the uterus, causing cramping and chronic pain — made her want to freeze her eggs. 'I think the healthier I am from the inside out — as far as my beliefs, my energy, what I'm putting into my body — the better prepared I'll be when the time comes,' she said at the time, when she was married to Brooks Laich. 'We never actually tried to get pregnant. It was more of a precautionary measure: Let's do our due diligence for the future by freezing eggs.' Hough ended her June 7 post by once again thanking her medical team for their unwavering care. 'I truly couldn't be more grateful for this team who's been with me since my second endometriosis laparoscopy surgery back in 2017… they've been like family ever since 💛,' she wrote. Her post received an overwhelming amount of support from celebrities and fans alike, who applauded her for being so open. Sunny Hostin Almost Dumped Her Now-Husband Emmanuel Because He Was Too Short

Sunny Hostin said on The View that she almost broke up with her now-husband Emmanuel because she "thought he was too short" Hostin's best friend convinced her otherwise, saying Emmanuel could "stand on his medical degree" Hostin has now been married to Emmanuel since 1998Sunny Hostin almost missed out on finding her short king. During the Friday, June 6, "Hot Topics" segment of The View, Hostin and her fellow hosts — Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin — discussed Leah Remini's recent comments about her friendship with Jennifer Lopez, and whether they themselves could remain friends with someone who criticized their marriage. When Behar asked Hostin what she would do if her best friend Regina Jansen had told her to "forget about" her now-husband Manny (né Emmanuel) when they first started dating, Hostin responded that her friend "did the opposite, actually." "I was going to cancel Manny because I thought he was too short," Hostin recalled. "Regina told me he could stand on his medical degree, and he'd be tall enough. She gives good advice." Hostin went on to say that "there have been times" where Jansen told her, "I don't like this person for you." "I think when someone loves you and your friend loves you and you can be that honest, I receive that," she said. "I do listen to my friends that I'm close to." Hostin and her husband, who is an orthopedic surgeon, tied the knot in 1998, two years after meeting at church while they were both living in Maryland. "He was gorgeous, decked out in a beautifully tailored suit,' Hostin wrote in her 2020 book I Am These Truths: A Memoir of Identity, Justice, and Living Between Worlds. Determined to meet him, she followed him to a nearby bagel shop after the service and struck up a conversation. The origins of their love story has since become a running joke. "He would tell folks that we'd met in a bagel shop, but I'd let him and everyone else know that we'd met in church,' she wrote. 'That's where the connection happened. He just hadn't seen me.' Hostin welcomed her first child with Emmanuel, son Gabriel, in 2002. Four years later, their daughter Paloma was born. Though they met in Maryland, Hostin and Emmanuel raised their family in New York, where they remain. Read the original article on People
