DALLAS - Police documents from last month's shooting at Wilmer Hutchins High School confirm what prosecutors previously revealed in a court hearing – there were five victims of the shooting.

The backstory
Security video from inside Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas shows a chilling sequence of events on the afternoon of April 15, 2025.
Investigators said 17-year-old Tracy Haynes is seen moving through the hallway, shooting four male students.
Haynes allegedly approached one student who wasn't able to run away and took a point-blank shot. That final victim is likely only alive because Haynes' 40-caliber handgun with an extended clip jammed up.
Haynes fled the school after the shooting and was able to get a ride to Red Oak from an unsuspecting bystander.
He later turned himself in to the police after contacting Urban Specialists for help. The nonprofit organization works to curb gun violence and poverty.
What we know
According to a newly released arrest warrant affidavit from the Dallas ISD Police Department, a fifth person was injured when a stray bullet entered a classroom and grazed a teacher on the right side of her face, just inches away from her right eye.
Geometry teacher Columbia Renix said on GoFundMe that the bullet went through her glasses.
Renix elaborated in an interview with the Dallas Morning News. She said the impact blew the frames right off her face.
She told the newspaper she'd only worked at Wilmer-Hutchins High School for half of the year, returning to the job shortly after giving birth to her first child.
Renix said she's still breastfeeding and had gone into a room to clean her breast pump when the shooting occurred.
She said that's when the bullet punctured the wall and grazed her.
The Dallas ISD affidavit states she was treated at the scene and released.
In her online fundraiser, Renix said her vision wasn't the only thing affected. "We take it day-by-day to heal," she wrote.

FOX 4 tried to contact Renix to share more of her story but didn't hear back from her.

Some of his relatives testified he was acting in self-defense, alleging gang members had been threatening him and his family.
The judge denied a request to reduce his $3.1 million bond.

They knew how to hide it. They knew what was valuable, what wasn't valuable. They took all the right stuff." Kim says the women made off with high-end purses like Louis Vuitton and Chanel, expensive jewelry, and cash—totaling around $50,000. One of the suspects even concealed the stolen items under her dress to appear pregnant. "It was awful," Kim said. "The violation that you feel…" Investigators say this is part of a larger trend: distraction scams targeting vulnerable seniors. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating several similar burglaries across Southern California. "They normally come between the hours of eleven and three," said a deputy during a recent community meeting. "Usually four or five women. One distracts you out front while the others go around the back." In response, the LASD Industry Station has been holding outreach meetings and posting videos on social media to alert the public. They've also issued these community safety tips: Keep all doors and windows locked at all times. Don't open the door for strangers. Use a doorbell camera when dealing with unknown visitors. Never let unfamiliar people into your home. Report suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately. Allison is now urging others to protect elderly neighbors. "Just look out for your neighbors," she said. "There's a lot of elderly people that don't have anyone checking on them." ‘They were so beautiful and so joyous,' Wenatchee community remembers Decker sisters
The tragedy of three young girls who were found dead near a campsite in Leavenworth has Washington state residents in disbelief. 'I had seen over the weekend that this was going on and these girls were missing. And so when I got that notice from the school, who else could that be,' said Wenatchee School District parent, Maggie. 'I hugged my daughter really hard today and just… yeah,' she continued. Just hours after the news broke Tuesday, hundreds gathered at Memorial Park in Wenatchee to hold a vigil for 9-year-old Paityn, 8-year-old Evelyn, and 5-year-old Olivia Decker. 'I think that it speaks to the fact that these three little girls in their short time did so much in the community,' Ashley-Jo Pflueger, a family friend, told KIRO 7. The vigil was put together by the group Music Theatre of Wenatchee. The Decker sisters were a part of the Short Shakespeare family. Ashley-Jo says she knew the girls for several years and that all of them were truly bright lights that lit up any stage they were on. 'They had life and love and they were so beautiful and so joyous,' Ashley-Jo said. Although many will argue this will never make sense, those who attended Tuesday's vigil say they are here for the Decker family. 'The community of Wenatchee is here for you. We love you. We support you. We want the best for you and we are incredibly sorry that this happened,' Maggie said. A friend of the family started a GoFundMe for the girls' mother. As of Tuesday night, the fundraiser had amassed almost $340,000 to support her with expenses and legal costs following the tragic loss of her three daughters. Whitney Decker Shared New Details in Horrific Murders of 3 Daughters
Whitney Decker is enduring an unimaginable nightmare. Her three daughters were discovered deceased near a campsite, and their father - her ex-husband Travis Decker - is on the run, authorities say. The Chelan County Sheriff's Department has labeled Decker a murder suspect and confirmed the discovery of the Deckers' three daughters: Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, of Wenatchee, Washington. Disturbing details are emerging in the horrific case. Whitney Decker has shared new information with authorities as they engage in a massive manhunt to find Travis Decker, an ex-military member who was homeless, according to Fox13. The Fox13 television station reported that interviews with the girls' mom revealed "a possible decline in (Travis) Decker's mental health" before the deaths. Whitney Decker told authorities "he was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, which she believes he does not take medications for," Fox13 reported. He is accused of refusing to sign and follow the parenting plan, which required him to seek mental health and anger management treatment, Fox13 reported. Fox13 reported that Travis Decker was described as "quieter than usual" when he picked up the girls on May 30, and was talking about "getting rid of his dog due to housing and financial struggles." Whitney Decker's Facebook page is listed as the admin on a group devoted to remembering the three girls with positive stories. Before the girls' bodies were found, Whitney Decker made a plea for her daughters' return. 'I just want the girls back home safe and sound — that is the most important thing to me,' she said to NCWLIFE. 'I am concerned about the safety and well-being of my girls and their dad. This is an unimaginable situation.' I am pleading for everyone to look out for them,' she said then, according to the television station. That site reported that the mother contacted police 90 minutes after Travis Decker did not return the girls following a three-hour visitation. "This fundraiser is to support Whitney Decker with expenses and legal costs following the tragic loss of her three daughters, Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia," the GoFundMe page to help Whitney Decker says. "On May 30th, the girls were reported missing after a scheduled visitation with their father. We are heartbroken to share that the girls have since passed. Their light touched so many, and the pain of this loss is immeasurable," it adds. "I've known Whitney for years, we're both dance moms and theater friends. We originally met through Short Shakespeareans, where I serve as the music director and had the privilege of teaching Whitney's girls over the past few years. We've spent this year as dance moms together, with my daughter Maisy and Whitney's daughter Evelyn both performing on the Fabulous Feet Dance Rockstars team." There are many tributes flowing for the girls on the Facebook page devoted to remembering them. "Whitney, the girls' mom would love to hear/read things you loved about the girls or hear/read stories about them," an admin wrote. "I met Whitney through sewing, I still have the pattern weights she made me one year for Christmas I always loved seeing what Whitney made for her girls, their smiles could make any day brighter," a woman wrote on that page. "I was always a little intimidated by Whitney as a mom, but in the good way. Her and those girls could have changed the world I have no doubt in that. She's a phenomenal mom who I secretly looked up to," another woman wrote on the page. "I know Whitney and the girls from our time at Fort Benning together. Our kids were much younger then but I remember, vividly, Evelyn's sweet sass! She was such a funny personality already. Paityn was the most protective older sister. Even just holding Olivia she would be there looking over your shoulder to make sure her baby was okay," a woman added. There is a $20,000 reward. Sheriff's officials wrote that the girls disappeared during a planned visitation but have now been found deceased.
