DARING hats and show-stopping dresses have been the order of the day at Royal Ascot today as attendees raise the fashion stakes with their looks.
The most prestigious racing event is back for day two, with royalty and A-listers alike dressed to the nines.

Champagne bottles have been popped in the sun by well-heeled guests who are dressed to impress.
Many people have donned their fanciest maxi dresses for the racing extravaganza.
It's no wonder people have dressed to the nines for the occasion, as each year the royal family flocks to Ascot to witness the action.
It was announced, however, that the Princess of Wales has pulled out of Royal Ascot as she continues her cancer recovery.
It is understood the Princess of Wales 'is disappointed' not to go but 'has to find the right balance' on returning to full time duty.
Kate, 43, was previously listed by Royal Ascot as arriving in the carriage procession with Prince William - who is still attending.
She attended Trooping the Colour and Order of the Garter in recent days plus a visit to V&A East Storehouse last week.
While Kate has skipped Ascot, her mum Carole Middleton is in attendance, with daughter-in-law Alizée Thevenet, who is married to Kate's brother James.
A number of celebrities have been seen at the Berkshire racecourse, including Made In Chelsea alum Georgia Toffolo, who was back for a second day.
Today she wore a cream CHATS by C.DAM maxi dress and a red Awon Golding Millinery hat.

The Royal Ascot dress code varies across different enclosures, with the Royal Enclosure asking guests to stick to top hats and tails for the men.
Women must wear a dress or skirt falling just above the knee or longer, with shoulder straps a minimum width of 1 inch and hats are compulsory.
The Queen Anne Enclosure offers a more relaxed dress code, while the Windsor Enclosure is the most relaxed, with no formal dress code but smart attire is encouraged.
Royal Ascot was founded in 1711 by Queen Anne who, when riding out from Windsor Castle, came across a piece of land 'ideal for horses to gallop at full stretch' and thus Ascot Racecourse was born.

The first Royal Meeting took place at Ascot in 1768 and it is now Britain's most popular race meeting, welcoming in excess of 250,000 racegoers across five days.
Each morning the gates open at 10.30am each day, ready for the anticipated first race which kicks off at 2.30pm.
There are then seven races throughout the day, the last of which commencing at 6.10pm.
And, of course, 2pm on each day of racing is the royal procession.
As well as the racing, there's also lots of other things for the lucky guests to enjoy.
It's predicted that the fine dining curated by 350 chefs will serve up 220,000 hand-crafted afternoon tea cakes, 7,300 Angus steaks and 3,000 kilos of salmon over the five days.
What's more, the Royal Meeting will also serve 220,000 finger sandwiches and 10,000 punnets of mixed berries.
In the Queen Anne Enclosure, guests are able to tuck into mouthwatering steaks at 1768 Grill by Argentinian restaurant Gaucho.
On the drinks front, 65,000 bottles of Champagne and 100,000 bottles of wine are expected to be consumed.
In 2023, approximately 400 helicopters and 1,000 limousines descended on Royal Ascot, with an average of 60,000 racegoers each day.

Trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Ryan Moore, True Love had chased home Tuesday's Coventry Stakes winner and stablemate Gstaad on her latest start and was duly sent off the 9-4 favourite. True Love took some time to work her way into the race as Zelaina set a scorching early pace, but she stayed on to real effect in the final furlong to beat 100-1 shot Flowerhead, with Patrick Biancone's American raider Lennilu third. It was win number 93 for O'Brien at the big meeting, although rather surprisingly his first in the Queen Mary. He said: 'She's lovely and in her first run Ryan came in and said they won't beat her again and then after her second run Wayne (Lordan) said the same thing, that they won't beat her again, and then you have to consider the two that beat her (Lady Iman and Gstaad) are very good horses. 'Ryan gave her a beautiful ride and Michael (Tabor) has always loved her and always spoken about her. It's great as her mother (Alluringly) is in foal to City Of Troy and her sister is in foal to Wootton Bassett so it's marvellous really. 'She was drawn by herself and there was no pace where she was so she had to go and do her own work and that's what Ryan did, he was excellent on her. She was probably strongest in the last half-furlong and when she got going she really powered away. 'She's like a four-year-old really and Ryan thought she would be better when she steps up to six furlongs and she's a big, mature filly who walks around the ring like a four-year-old, she's so scopey – she's something to look forward to.' On future plans, O'Brien added: 'I think we look forward to going up in trip now, the lads will decide that. You would imagine she would have no problem going six furlongs, but she is No Nay Never and he's a big speed influence always. 'The Queen Mary winner seems to always head to Deauville (Prix Morny) or the Curragh (Airlie Stud Stakes) and that would be the two races really or there is the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket in July. That may come too soon, but we will see how she is.' Flowerhead's trainer Charlie Clover was thrilled to secure a Royal Ascot placing in his first full season with a licence. He said: 'This is a huge start for us, we were struggling away for the first few months but it's really kicked into gear the past few weeks and it's been a delight to see the whole team find their feet. 'It's only a small team but it's been massively welcome to see these horses run to form and I can't thank (owner) Amo Racing enough, they've done so much for me and my career in helping me get off the ground. 'We liked her at home, we hoped she'd run a nice race but second was a bit of a dream. You can get greedy quite quickly and think you could have won it, who knows? 'I'm delighted to be in the frame and for her to run a big race for owners who are so important to me.' 'I liked the fact she was the first one off the bridle and she was there at the end, which means she will go a bit further and that is great. We're happy, she fought all the way. The Chantilly handler excels on his UK raids and he has the ideal contender to lift this historic prize. The gelding showed abundant class and stamina when routing Amarena Dodville at his home venue. Given time to develop, he put that debut to good use when crushing Kapani on his comeback there. The four-year-old stayed unbeaten at that track by brushing aside Double Major in better company. That form led Graffard to go for even more ambitious targets over two miles on Turf at Longchamp. The bay duly stayed upwardly mobile with a cracking third to Presage Nocturne in a hot Group 3. He looked even better when hammering Sevenna's Knight in the Group 1 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier. The rising star surged clear at the business end so he can confirm his place at the top table up in trip. Sandal's Song (2:30) can walk all over his rivals for George Weaver in the Norfolk Stakes. The juvenile wasn't overly well-fancied ahead of his debut at Gulfstream Park last month. However, the colt showed potent speed to slam the exciting Squire in a red-hot contest. There is plenty more to come from this high-energy type who can claim a warm Group 2. Sing Us A Song (3:05) can call the tune for Ralph Beckett in the King George V Stakes. The colt showed real promise when fifth to the mighty Field Of Gold on debut at Newmarket. He raised his game again when third behind Hopewell Rock in another fair event at Newbury. The three-year-old clearly relished tackling 1m 2f when chinning Flamenco Bay at Goodwood. The son of Camelot was expected to become a useful performer over middle distance this year. He confirmed that impression when hacking-up from Urban Glimpse on his return at Sandown. The bay was staying-on strongly up the hill so he can score up in trip for a yard who target this race. Serenity Prayer (3:40) looks simply divine for Andrew Balding in the Ribblesdale Stakes. The three-year-old was well-supported ahead of her belated debut in a Newbury novice in April. She duly delighted her backers by decisively defeating Lady Ridgewood in a typically strong event. That pleasing performance saw the filly pitched straight into the Group 2 Musidora Stakes at York. She found only the hugely talented Whirl too good in that recognised Oaks trial on the Knavesmire. Balding decided to skip the Epsom Classic so she can reward his patience by taking a strong contest. The top trainer can also take the Buckingham Palace Stakes with Never So Brave (6:10). The gelding chased home Ancient Wisdom on debut for Sir Michael Stoute at Newmarket. He was unlucky to meet another star when second to Vandeek down in trip at Nottingham. The four-year-old deservedly opened his account in emphatic fashion on his return at Thirsk. He built on that effort when routing Witness Stand on his switched to handicaps at Chester. However, he seemed to lose his way in better company for that trainer for most of last year. The bay was revitalised by a move to Kingsclere when chinned by Myal back on the Roodee. The strong-traveller remains fairly-treated so he can claim the biggest success of his career. The Britannia Stakes is a puzzling as ever but I'm going for Roger Varian's Teroomm (5:00). The colt went into plenty of notebooks when fourth to Bridget's View on debut at Kempton. Given time to develop, he wasn't seen again until his comeback in a Bath maiden in April. The three-year-old was very keen early-on but still brushed aside the useful High On Hope. He then showed a mix of class and guts to outpoint fellow improver Parole D'oro at Thirsk. Varian opted to pitch his charge into the valuable Haydock Silver Bowl on his handicap bow. He didn't enjoy the clearest of passage but finished powerfully to cosily dismiss Tilted Kilt. The son of Iffraaj scored with plenty in hand so he can bag another big prize for his top yard. Detain (5:35) can seize a tight renewal of the Hampton Court Stakes for Team Gosden. The colt looked smart when storming home from Afentiko on his first outing at Kempton. He boosted his reputation again with an impressive defeat of Fosroc at the same venue. The bay hated the soft going when sixth to Hotazhell in the Group 1 Futurity at Doncaster. He bounced back when comfortably dispatching Luther back on all-weather at Chelmsford. The three-year-old wasn't disgraced when sixth in the French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp. He stayed 1m 2f well when a fine third to Camille Pissarro in the French Derby at Chantilly. The Juddmonte raider remains unexposed over that trip so he can triumph down in class.
