Elon Musk's reaction to iOS 18
Last year, Musk strongly opposed Apple's partnership with OpenAI, calling the integration of ChatGPT into iOS 18 an 'unacceptable security violation'. He went as far as threatening to ban Apple devices from Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink offices, stating that visitors would have to check their iPhones at the door.
'If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation,' wrote Elon Musk on X.

'And visitors will have to check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage,' added Musk.
His concerns at the time centered on the idea of Apple "handing over your data to OpenAI without you even realizing it."
Elon Musk's reaction to iOS 26
Fast forward to WWDC 2025, where Apple unveiled iOS 26, showcasing a sweeping "Liquid Glass" visual redesign and a host of new features, including enhanced AI capabilities like Live Translation and a more integrated approach to Apple Intelligence. Following a post by Apple CEO Tim Cook highlighting the new iOS 26 interface, Elon Musk reportedly offered a brief, yet notably positive, reaction: "Cool."
The new design, featuring translucent UI elements and dynamic motion effects, appears to have impressed Musk, marking a stark contrast to his previous criticism.
While Musk has not elaborated as to what he liked in particular about iOS 26. But it seems that the Tesla CEO is impressed by iOS 26's design enhancements and AI-powered system improvements.

Harsh Jain, the CEO of Indian fantasy sports platform Dream11 has publicly criticised Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk for returning his $1,000 reservation fee for a Model 3 that he had placed back in March 2017. The move, coming nearly a decade after the initial booking, has stripped Jain of his priority slot for a Tesla vehicle in India. Read Dream11 CEO Harsh Jain's post on slamming Tesla In a post shared on X, Jain tagged Elon Musk directly, expressing his profound disappointment: "Wow Elon Musk, do you know Tesla is turning ALL its fans and early believers in India into haters?" He elaborated on his frustration, revealing, "I had paid $1k for a priority slot in March 2017 for Tesla's India launch. Now that Tesla is FINALLY launching almost 10 YEARS later they're only going to refund me $1k and take away my priority slot?" Jain further highlighted the financial implications of Tesla's delayed entry and his refunded reservation. He pointed out that had he invested that same $1,000 in Tesla shares in March 2017, it would now be worth approximately $20,000, underscoring his belief that Tesla "doesn't care" about its early supporters. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo A screenshot shared by Jain revealed an email from Tesla, explaining that "the original Model 3 in your reservation was one of the products that have been replaced" as the company's product lineup evolves. OpenAI rolls out o3-pro model; CEO Sam Altman says open-weights model needs more time
OpenAI announced that its o3-pro model was rolling out to users, but CEO Sam Altman noted that an upcoming open weight model would not release this month. OpenAI o3-pro will be available in the model picker for Pro and Team users, replacing OpenAI o1-pro. Enterprise and Edu users will get access after a week, per the company. 'In expert evaluations, reviewers consistently prefer OpenAI o3-pro over o3, highlighting its improved performance in key domains—including science, education, programming, data analysis, and writing. Reviewers also rated o3-pro consistently higher for clarity, comprehensiveness, instruction-following, and accuracy,' noted OpenAI. OpenAI o3-pro can search the web, analyse files, process visual inputs, use Python, and personalise responses using memory, per the company. 'o3-pro is rolling out now for all chatgpt pro users and in the api. it is really smart! [I] didnt believe the win rates relative to o3 the first time i saw them,' posted OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on X on Wednesday (June 11, 2024). However, a highly-anticipated open weights model that was set to be released will require more time, according to Altman. '[W]e are going to take a little more time with our open-weights model, i.e. expect it later this summer but not june. [O]ur research team did something unexpected and quite amazing and we think it will be very very worth the wait, but needs a bit longer,' posted Altman on X on Wednesday. An open weights model, while not open source, gives technical users more flexibility to refine the model to suit their own needs and specifications. OpenAI called this model its 'first open language model since GPT‑2,' which came out in 2019. OpenAI announced this week that its annualised revenue run rate hit $10 billion as of June, putting it on track to hit its targets for 2025.

Trump vs Musk: Elon loses 25% of his wealth to DOGE; calls it 'worth it'
Elon Musk and Donald Trump (AP file photo) The much-publicised fallout between US President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has sparked global attention, with growing interest in whether Musk's time in Trump's inner circle has impacted his immense fortune. A recent Bloomberg article, shared on social media, dated April 29, 2025, claimed "Elon Musk lost 25% of his fortune during his quest to gut the US government." Musk responded with a brief but telling remark: 'Worth it.' According to Bloomberg, while Musk's private ventures - SpaceX , Neuralink, and AI startup xAI, attracted fresh funding during this period, it was Tesla, his only publicly traded company, that suffered the most. Tesla's stock plunged 33% since Trump's inauguration, and sales dropped majorly, reflecting public backlash against Musk's perceived alignment with the administration. Although Musk has remained among the world's wealthiest individuals -- maintaining the top spot just ahead of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, his recent losses are being closely scrutinised, particularly in the context of his controversial political stances and brief involvement in Trump's government initiatives. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Eat 1 Teaspoon Every Night, See What Happens A Week Later [Video] getfittoday Undo Tensions between Musk and Trump rift came in recent weeks after Trump's 'One Big Beautiful Bill', and that shot-up as Musk publicly called for Trump's impeachment. But in a surprising shift, Musk has recently softened his tone, posting patriotic emojis and offering indirect praise for the administration. Meanwhile, Trump also appeared to dial down the rhetoric. Asked about Musk at the White House on Monday, he said, 'We had a good relationship, I wish him well, very well.' When questioned if he would respond to Musk's recent outreach, Trump replied: 'I haven't really thought about it actually. I would imagine he wants to speak to me, I would think so.'
