Michelle Obama's Spain Trip Proves She Has No Time for Divorce Rumors
Michelle Obama is doing life her way!
The former first lady and husband Barack Obama have been plagued with divorce rumors all year long, but the couple is holding firm that they are still together and going strong. Her girls' trip to Mallorca, Spain this week with daughters, Malia, and Sasha, didn't stop the Daily Mail from questioning their marital status, but it seems that the media outlet is missing the point. Michelle is living her best life after exiting politics.

The three women looked relaxed as they enjoyed their summer vacation by the coast, dining at an outdoor cafe with James Costos, former U.S. ambassador to Spain, and his partner, Michael Smith, the Obamas' interior designer. (You can see the photos here.) The fact that her husband wasn't in attendance shouldn't fuel the breakup rumors though, it's more of an indication as to where Michelle is in this season of life.
Nobody understands the situation more than Barack Obama who spoke at Hamilton College on April 3 and shared what he wants to give his wife in their post-White House era.
'I was in a deep deficit with my wife,' Barack Obama said, via The Daily Beast. 'So, I have been trying to dig myself out of that hole by doing occasionally fun things.' Michelle had put her life on hold for her husband's political ambitions and now it's time to let Michelle be Michelle.
She's pursuing her own interests outside of her marriage and living a life that isn't dictated by the political arena. And who could blame her?
Even though she skipped Jimmy Carter's funeral and Donald Trump's 2025 inauguration, it had nothing to do with her marriage — Michelle is just done playing by the rules created by old-school political circles.
Fans only need to look at her June 15 Instagram post to her husband in honor of Father's Day to know that she and Barack Obama are solid.
'I love looking back at photos like this of when our girls were younger. @BarackObama has always been there for us no matter what — even when it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders,' she gushed. 'We've always been so grateful. To Barack and all the dads and father-figures celebrating today, Happy Father's Day! ❤️'
So, people need to stop expecting Michelle to always be with her husband or showing up at official events because the first lady role has always been an unofficial position. She wasn't elected into office and she wasn't paid for her duties — Michelle voluntarily served for eight years in the White House, and now it's time for her to shine..

J.K. Rowling Clarified How Involved She Is With The "Harry Potter" TV Series
The controversy around J.K. Rowling's involvement in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series is, honestly, a constant at this point. It's arguably overshadowed anything else about the series. This is mostly because the author has spent the majority of her post-Harry Potter career spending time — and money — essentially pushing back against the mere notion of trans rights. Related: Shia LaBeouf Just Shared A Screenshot Of His Private Email Exchange With Timothée Chalamet, And It's Certainly Interesting As a result, the series itself has become a hotbed of discourse and criticism. Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan recently took to IG to speak out against the author, the show, and the recent UK Supreme Court's unanimous ruling that a "woman" in equality legislation should be defined as referring to a "biological woman and biological sex." As the show's casting has been slowly unveiled, those who are set to appear on it have also become inevitably snared in the conversation. Paapa Essiedu — who, as of this moment, is booked to portray Severus Snape in the series — was one of many British actors who signed an open letter supporting trans rights in response to the Supreme Court ruling, which caused J.K. to deny rumors that he'd be fired from the show for doing so. Meghan Markle Catches More Criticism From Jam Expert Amid New Product Launch
Meghan Markle's critic train continues to take on new passengers! The Duchess of Sussex is not catching a break, as one of her newly launched products comes under severe tongue lashings by an expert in the field. Meghan Markle put a huge smile on the faces of her fans last week when she expanded her stock by not just one, but three new merchandise, including a new special wine. Renowned jam connoisseur Donna Collins came out swinging against Meghan and labeled her fruit spread an epic disappointment. Collins continued that fruit spread is usually a last resort when the jam is of low quality. "It can have the best ingredients, but if I had a jam that was too runny, I'd slap a label on it and call it a spread. There's no excuse for this. It should be perfect," Collins stressed. The jam-making champion also questioned Meghan's choice of ingredients, which include dried organic apricots, fruit pectin, organic pure cane sugar, and conventional apricots. According to the Daily Mail, Collins noted that some of the preservatives used for the apricots are harmful to human health. She also observed that pectin is often used for runny spreads. Collins, who owns a jam company known as Jelly Queen Jam and has about 40 jam-making championship titles under her belt, came with more points to tackle the entrepreneur. She raised an issue with the size of Meghan's new batch of apricot spread. The expert was convinced that the actress had only made a small quantity, which is why it sold out within minutes, just like her raspberry spread. The Duchess debuted her "As Ever" with a few products, including the raspberry spread, which critics claimed was poorly suited for bread and toasts. "I don't know who's making her spread, but we all know it's not Meghan. It sounds like they really don't know what they are doing," Collins insisted. Her sentiments were echoed by another observer, Maureen Foley, who owns Red Hen Cannery in Montecito. Foley claimed Meghan's rushed apricot spread line was a brilliant marketing move from her. The mogul added, "She may be smart, trying to fill a niche. Spreads can be sweet or savoury, and used on dishes for all meals, so perhaps it's just clever marketing." Meghan's "As Ever" lifestyle brand came to life in April, with a promise to feature a quantitative inventory from home essentials to edible stuff. Quite the expressive one, Meghan did not waste time informing her teeming customers about their latest team achievement. The mother-of-two hopped on her brand's official Instagram page to wish her fans a "wonderful weekend" for making the "As Ever" weekend a "sold out" one. She also made a post on her personal page, reacting excitedly to the progress. Meghan had earlier hinted to her fans about an incoming wave of sold-out tags on her product. The Duchess of Sussex urged her fans not to second-guess on purchasing their favorite items from her store. "We spent so much time making sure we had so much more inventory, that's why we took the time, and you guys are doing it again. We're nearly sold out on everything, and I can't believe it," She exclaimed. Meghan stated that everything, down to the flower sprinkles, which she produced in excess were nearly out of stock. On Saturday, she followed up on her gratitude with another note on her brand's Instagram page, describing her fans as the "sweetest part" of what the brand does. Despite Meghan's iconic entrepreneurial success, royal experts are convinced it is only a ploy for fame and fortune, as noted by The Blast. The experts continued that the actress also desires to be recognized as a royal mogul with a large business empire. They connected the huge success of her brand to her title and status as a royal figure. British broadcaster, Helena Chard, claimed: "She will cling to this as it will help bring her [more] fame and fortune, which is imperative to her life. She will keep her fingers in many pies and her name in lights with the hope that one or more of her ideas will bring in the much-needed hard cash." Coincidentally, Meghan had previously admitted to missing her former life as an actress when she got married to Prince Harry in 2018. With her new venture, experts like Valentine Low are claiming she is trying to get the best of both worlds. In Low's 2023 book "Courtiers," he claimed the actress aided the Birmingham exodus in 2020 to give her and Harry the "freedom to make money and dip their toes into politics." As reported by The Blast, Meghan's success as an entrepreneur began with bleak days of uncertainty about her progress or direction. However, Meghan's trying times did not last long, as she received a much-needed boost from Oprah. In a rare confession, she explained on her podcast 'Confessions of a Female Founder' that she got into a place of contentment with producing just small batches from home. Despite this peace, Meghan admitted that she could not shake off the feeling of mediocrity towards her decision. Oprah then reportedly assured her in one of their meetings that she was on the right track, especially if she looked into adding more products to her itinerary. Meghan continued that Oprah encouraged her to figure out how to capture her 'essence' and make it convincing enough to make a profit from. The mother-of-two added that as soon as she heard this statement from the former host, all her doubts flew out the window.
