's mother Eve Pollard poked fun at her daughter's 'orange face' as she shared insight into the broadcaster's now iconic make-up look.
During an appearance on Vanessa Feltz 's Channel 5 on Monday the author, 81, revealed that the Strictly host, 53, uses her fake tan and lashings of mascara as a 'uniform'.
Host Vanessa, 63, described Claudia's look as the 'most frequently discussed make-up in this country' to which Eva cheekily asked: 'The orange face?'.
The TV star's kooky eye make-up and fringe was also brought up and her mum said: 'It's a uniform I think it's a funny way it is,'
'I think she's come across it, she didn't start like that and it's a uniform and it suits her and it works and that's it. It makes life simple for her'.

Eve went on to reveal her daughter does at times try a more subdued appearance when not on air, but said the trademark look was now 'part of who Claudia Winkleman is'.
It comes after The Traitors host revealed she's turned to two household items back when she was first trying to achieve her 'orange' complexion.
Claudia admitted she'd used Bisto gravy granules and her friends' reused tea bags instead of fake tan.
Claudia appeared on Radio Four's Women's Hour with Emma Barnett when she confessed to the bizarre beauty hack.
Discussing what they do with tea bags once they've made cups of tea, Claudia revealed one her friends at university used to put them in ramekin so they could use them later as a self tanner.
'I'm going back to university here, when everything was reused, and I mean everything.'
While Emma suggested a tea bag could be reused for their next brew, the Strictly presenter added: 'Or fake tan because I've done that before.'
As Emma was stunned, Claudia elaborated: 'Of course I have, and Bisto, listen needs must, needs must.'
The TV star's kooky eye make-up and fringe was also brought up and her mum said: 'It's a uniform I think it's a funny way it is,'
Claudia said she puts her old tea bags in the sink which drives her husband Kris 'mad'.
She previously confessed her tan is so thick she has to scour it off with a kitchen sponge.
If you use the amount of spray tan I do, you need to scour it off with a kitchen utensil,' she revealed on the In The Bathroom beauty video blog.
'If you were using a Dulux colour chart, if there was one on there that said tangerine, right at the bottom, the one where you say, 'That's going to be too much for our walls', it's not too much for me. Put it on.'
She said her addiction to tanning started while she was a History of Art student at New Hall College, Cambridge.
She said: 'I'd rented a sunbed for a whole term in tiny halls of residence … it was so unhealthy when I think back now.'
But the TV presenter revealed she now has someone come to her home to apply her spray tan in a pop-up tent.
'I never get on the sunbed now,' she said. 'My body no longer recognises the actual sun.'
And although it is seen as a cardinal sin by skin specialists, Claudia said she always sleeps with her make-up on.

Michelle Keegan stuns in a cut-out swimsuit as she shows off her figure three months after welcoming baby daughter with husband Mark Wright

Michelle Keegan stunned as she modelled a swimsuit on Tuesday three months after welcoming a baby daughter with her husband Mark Wright. Showing off her figure in the brown cut-out one piece, the actress, 38, posed for an Instagram update. Michelle teamed the swimwear, from her latest collection with Orfila Bee, with a cream sarong, which tied in a knot at the front. She accessorised with a straw cowboy hat, a woven beach bag and a pair of sunglasses. Michelle set up the brand in the summer of 2022 and previously revealed that Orfila was her Grandma's maiden name - describing her as a 'big influence' in her life. Elsewhere, the actress has reportedly signed a six-figure advertising deal to become the new face of Sky. The deal is Michelle's first major job since she gave birth to her daughter Palma - who she shares with Mark Wright - in March. Michelle will film a series of promo clips with fellow British actor Idris Elba, who already appears as the 'face'. A source told The Sun: 'Michelle has really been enjoying maternity leave with Palma, but she'll be back to work soon to film these new adverts for Sky. ' Brassic is ending after the seventh series and Michelle is keen to still be a part of the Sky brand. 'Landing this ad is huge for Michelle, as she's fast becoming a brand in her own right. Everything she touches seems to turn to gold.' After leaving ITV soap Corrie in 2014, Michelle's career took off, with hits such as BBC military drama Our Girl, Sky's Brassic and BBC's Australian drama Ten Pound Poms. Last year, she had the starring role as Maya Stern in Netflix's Harlan Coben thriller Fool Me Once - which racked up more than 100 million views globally. Michelle and Mark have been enjoying their time as parents and have been sharing small glimpses of Palma on their social media accounts. It's believed the couple chose the name Palma because of their strong links to Mallorca, which has been their go-to holiday destination for years and the setting for their pregnancy reveal photoshoot. The celebrity couple and their daughter Palma, three months, are currently at the swanky £300-a-night SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort Hotel. The sun-soaked getaway is baby daughter Palma's first holiday abroad.

JK Rowling in bitter spat with Boy George as singer calls her ‘rich bored bully' over trans rights

JK Rowling has blasted Boy George for calling her a 'rich bored bully' – pointing out he once served time for whipping a male escort with a chain. The Harry Potter author posted a furious response on X after the Culture Club singer waded into a spat with another user who claimed Ms Rowling was 'the person maybe most responsible for the push to take away trans rights'. 2 When Ms Rowling asked the X user 'which rights have been taken away from trans people?', Boy George responded: 'The right to be left alone by a rich bored bully!' Ms Rowling posted a lengthy rebuttal in which she accused the Karma Chameleon singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd, of sneering at 'unenlightened plebs' who reject the notion that trans women are women. She added: 'I've never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and beating him with a chain.' Boy George was jailed in 2009 for handcuffing an escort to his bed and inflicting 'wholly gratuitous violence' at a property in Shoreditch, east London, in April 2007. The court was told that the cocaine-fuelled attack on Audun Carlsen, a Norwegian man, had been 'premeditated and callous' and had left the victim 'traumatised'. Boy George had been found guilty at an earlier trial of false imprisonment and beating Carlsen with a chain with the help of another man, whom he had never identified. Ms Rowling rejected Boy George's claim that she was entitled. She pointed out that she had been poor and could empathise with women who relied on state-funded services, such as single-sex rape crisis, domestic abuse and homeless shelters. She said: 'You yourself have been convicted of violent assault. The overwhelming number of people who commit crimes of violence are male, just like you.' Ms Rowling has become one of the most outspoken campaigners for women-only spaces, becoming a target for criticism by transgender rights activists. The row broke out months after Supreme Court judges unanimously ruled that a woman is defined by biological sex under equality law.

Romeo Beckham enjoys boys' night out at family friend Gordon Ramsay's restaurant amid family feud and ex Kim Turnbull's statement

Romeo Beckham enjoyed a boys' night out on Monday at one of family friend Gordon Ramsay 's restaurants amid a family feud. The footballer, 22, was pictured in Mayfair, London as he headed into Lucky Cat in the capital. He wore camo trousers paired with an oversized light brown t-shirt as he showed off his freshly trimmed buzz cut. Romeo appeared to be in good spirts as he dined with a pal as his family feud rumbles on. It comes hours after he shared a cryptic post about 'spreading unnecessary lies' after his ex Kim Turnbull set the record straight on claims she dated his brother Brooklyn. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. He shared the post after his ex Kim, 24, shot down accusations that she was romantically involved with Brooklyn, 26, amid claims she is to blame for the rift between the two brothers, which has grown into a wider family feud. Romeo posted a snap of a scene from the iconic 1953 film Roman Holiday, where Audrey Hepburn's character utters the line: 'What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.' He then captioned the post: 'Be nice to people and don't spread unnecessary lies.' MailOnline has contacted a representative for Romeo Beckham for comment. Sharing a statement on her Instagram page on Monday, Kim said: 'I've avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it's come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on. 'I will not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative. 'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. 'Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.' Romeo posted a snap of a scene from the iconic 1953 film Roman Holiday, where Audrey Hepburn's character utters the line: 'What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency' Kim had been at the centre of the row after Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz, 30, claimed that she felt uncomfortable around her, with sources close to the US heiress saying that Kim had dated Brooklyn when they were teenagers. Which she had now denied. Things came to a head when Brooklyn and Nicola were no shows at any of David's 50th birthday celebrations last month, with The Mail revealing that Kim has been made the 'scapegoat' in the feud. They failed to attend any of football legend David's five celebrations to mark his milestone birthday, including celebrations in Miami, London, Paris the Cotswolds and a boys fishing trip to Scotland. Brooklyn then refused to publicly acknowledge his father's Knighthood for his services to sport and charity as part of the King's Birthday Honours list. David, 50, said on the weekend: 'It's been an emotional week I must admit. For me and for my family. It's obviously very special. 'It's a huge honour, but one that has been shared with myself and my family and so, it's been emotional.' Meanwhile, the hot sauce businessman also failed to wish his dad a happy Father's Day, despite Becks attempting to reach out to him publicly. While gushing over his four children, the former footballer shared individual snaps of him with his eldest son down the years while tagging his Instagram in each.
