Kim Woodburn's explosive feud with Aggie MacKenzie after star 'overstepped the mark'

The pair fell out whilst doing panto together and hadn't spoken since.
Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie were a very well-kent and iconic TV duo more than two decades ago. However, their friendship came to an end over a major fallout whilst they were doing panto.
It was announced on Tuesday that Kim had passed away at the age of 83 after a short illness. It remains unclear whether Kim ever made up with Scots star Aggie, who was accused her of 'destroying her'.

The cleaning duo rose to fame on Channel 4 show How Clean Is Your House? which aired from 2003 to 2009.

After the programme ended, Kim stayed in the limelight and took part in various shows including Celebrity Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! However, Aggie led a much quieter life.
Aggie previously said that the pair were so different off screen, describing them as chalk and cheese. She said: "I think we're chalk and cheese. Because of the friction there was between us, it created this energy and so we knew how to be in front of the camera.
"I mean, most of it was ad lib. We had an idea of the storyline, but we just kind of made it up as we went along. I think for her it's kind of normal to have conflict and I think that if things are calm and easy, I think she found that quite difficult.
"That's not me, I like it easy peasy. There were lots of highs, and a few lows."
Aggie went on to say that they had a huge fall out whilst doing panto in Brighton and said she "lost her rag".
"We were doing panto in Brighton. I was so shocked and upset and angry. I lost my rag with her. I said, 'You've really overstepped the mark now! We carried on working together for quite a while but the only speaking we did was on camera. It had all come to a bitter end. We've never spoken since," she said of their explosive fall out.
Aggie also said she was "frightened" of Kim, and branded her a "bully". She explained: "We were never friends. Far from it. Kim was such a big, damaging part of my life.

"I feel she almost destroyed me. I know that sounds extreme but she was this massive powerful figure.
"I was frightened of her. Everyone was. It's like any bully - they push and push and push. There were no boundaries, no limitations. It was as if Kim felt more entitled to the job, status and money than me.
"She was the 'main man' and the show could not go on without her. I was ordinary and dispensable."
Speaking to the Mirror in 2019, Kim had said: "I have never said anything derogatory about Aggie and I am not going to start now. I am unclear where these false allegations have come from but I wish her all the luck in the world."

How Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie unwittingly formed unique duo on TV show

Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie presented How Clean is Your House? from 2003 to 2009 on Channel 4, which saw the stars visit indescribably filthy homes and clean them Aggie MacKenzie and tragic Kim Woodburn - who died on Monday - unwittingly formed a dynamic partnership on How Clean is Your House? because of their tension, it is claimed. The duo presented the popular Channel 4 show between 2003 and 2009, and hosted a US version during this period. Following Kim's passing aged 83 on Monday, an interview Aggie gave in 2019 has resurfaced as it features some fascinating insights into her relationship with the no-nonsense TV personality. ‌ Aggie, 69, admitted she was "frightened" of Kim because her co-star had "no boundaries, no limitations". Feelings were so strong Aggie, from Aviemore, Scottish Highlands, found it difficult to forge a friendship with Kim - yet she feels this helped their onscreen partnership blossom. ‌ "It created this energy and so we knew how to be in front of the camera. But I used to dream a lot about her – bad dreams. If my phone rang and it was Kim, my stomach would turn over. I'd think: 'What am I in for now?' It would always be abuse," Aggie said in the interview. Whoever it formed, the partnership worked and, for six years, How Clean is Your House? was one of Channel 4's most popular programmes. Both women will always be remembered for the series, which gave Aggie the platform to launch her own range of affordable surface cleaners at Poundstretcher in 2020. Reacting to Kim's death yesterday, mum-of-two Aggie told the Mirror: "Kim was a tormented soul, but now she's finally at peace. We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength. She survived because she had to. I hope she's resting now. She was an unforgettable woman." Channel 4 said How Clean is Your House? was axed to make room for fresh programming but, around 18 months before the final episode aired, Aggie and Kim fell out. The pair were Ugly Sisters in Cinderella at the Theatre Royal, Brighton during pantomime season but, after Aggie missed her cue, it is understood Kim shoved her co-star backstage, so hard she almost fell over. Words were exchanged – and it is thought the duo did not speak to each other for the final two series of How Clean Is Your House? Yet Kim explored new opportunities after the programme finished, including explosive appearances in I'm A Celebrity in 2009 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017. She pulled no punches in these shows too, famously telling former glamour girl Katie Price: "You're what I thought you'd be. You're a publicity-seeker. You live and die for publicity. You know full well you've got ten to 12 million people watching every night and you know, madam, you'll be all over the papers every day. Now stop it. Stop your nonsense." Yesterday, Kim's management described the writer as an "incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person", adding that her husband Peter Woodburn was "heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate".

The Michelin-trained chef, who frequently appears on ITV's This Morning, has garnered an impressive 74.2 million likes on her TikTok page, where she posts her favourite carb-rich delights. Despite losing her job in 2020, Poppy has since skyrocketed to fame, even cooking alongside Jamie Oliver and featuring on his latest Channel 4 programme, Jamie's Air Fryer Meals. ‌ Poppy, a self-confessed 'carbie', is famous for her quick and uncomplicated meals, often utilising an air fryer for most of her recipes. ‌ In her most recent viral TikTok video, the social media star, known as Poppy Cooks, shows how to incorporate McCain's new Air Fryer Fries into dishes. She prepares coconut prawns with bang bang sauce served on a bed of chips - a dish that takes merely 10 minutes to prepare and five minutes to cook. Ingredients 150g raw king prawns Three tablespoons of plain flour One teaspoon of garlic granules One teaspoon of onion granules One teaspoon of cayenne pepper One teaspoon of dried basil Half a teaspoon of chilli flakes Salt and pepper Two eggs 75g of desiccated coconut 75g of panko breadcrumbs 75g of mayonnaise One tablespoon of sweet chilli sauce One teaspoon of hot chilli sauce One lime, zested 1/2 juiced 200g of tenderstem broccoli Two spring onions - sliced for garnish One sliced red chill 250g of McCain Air Fryer Quick Crispy French Fries Method Step 1: Start by preheating the air fryer to 200C. In a large bowl, mix the plain flour, salt and pepper. In a separate dish, combine the egg with the dried herbs and spices. Season the egg mixture well with salt and pepper then set it aside. In another large bowl or dish, blend the panko breadcrumbs and desiccated coconut, reports the Express. Step 2: Pop the prawns into the mixing bowl and cover them in flour before dipping them into the spiced egg mixture. Shake off any surplus egg and, using your mitts, transfer them to the bowl of panko and coconut. Press the coconut onto the prawns to ensure it sticks. ‌ Step 3: Shift the prawns into the air fryer basket and spritz them with oil. Air fry for 4-5 minutes until the coconut and panko are toasted on the outside and the prawns are cooked, flipping them halfway through. Step 4: Whilst the prawns are cooking, drizzle the tenderstem broccoli with oil, salt and pepper and air fry for five minutes. Step 5: As you load the prawns into the air fryer, pour the McCain Air Fryer French Fries into the other basket and cook for five minutes, giving them a shake halfway through. This recipe is spot on as everything cooks at the same time! ‌ Step 6: While everything is in the air fryer, mix the lime zest and juice, mayonnaise and chilli sauces in a small bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Step 7: Serve up the prawns, tenderstem broccoli and the McCain Air Fryer French Fries with a generous dollop of the spicy bang bang mayo and a sprinkle of sliced spring onions and chopped chilli. Poppy, discussing the recipe, stated: "I can't control my excitement because McCain has launched a new air fryer range, including these fries that take five minutes. The fries that not only taste fantastic (if I do say so myself) but also cook in a matter of minutes. "To celebrate the launch, I created six unique recipes designed specifically for the air fryer, that can be whipped up in no time at all, guaranteed to elevate your weeknight dinners!" TikTok enthusiasts have lauded the recipe as "delicious" and "very cool".
