Radio-collared Pronghorn shot, left to rot in Oklahoma
BOISE CITY, Okla. (KSNW) — Authorities in Oklahoma are looking for whoever shot and killed a Pronghorn in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Oklahoma Game Wardens say a Pronghorn was shot with a high-powered rifle around 11 a.m. Monday. It happened in a field near the intersection of N0250 Road and E0150 Road, northwest of Boise City.
Game wardens say the animal, sometimes referred to as the American Antelope, was shot, killed, and left to rot. Her dead twin fawns were found with her.
Still no new judge for suspect in murdered moms case
The doe was wearing a radio collar and was being monitored by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and Oklahoma State University. A cash reward is being offered to anyone who comes forward with information about who killed the doe.
Callers can choose to remain anonymous. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Lt. Mike Baker, Game Warden, at 580-651-9135.
The fastest land mammal in North America and the second fastest animal in the world, next to the cheetah, pronghorns are not related to deer or antelopes, but they are in the same family as giraffes.
Although not directly considered endangered, their numbers have declined from historic levels. Two subspecies of pronghorn are listed as endangered: the Peninsular and Sonoran.

Nickerson woman charged with sexual relations with student
RENO COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — An investigation into a central Kansas school district has turned into serious charges against a Nickerson woman. Whitney Shull is charged with five crimes in Reno County, including unlawful sexual relations, aggravated sexual battery and hosting an underage drinking party. Court documents allege the victims in the case are 16 and 17-year-old students who were enrolled at USD 309 Nickerson, where Shull worked. The charges are: Unlawful sexual relations by an employee of USD 309 Nickerson with a student, on or before Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, a felony, Attempted unlawful sexual relations by an employee of USD 309 Nickerson with a student, on or before Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, a felony, Aggravated sexual battery of a person 16 or more years of age, on or between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, a felony, and Two misdemeanor counts of unlawful hosting minors consuming alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage. KSN News reached out to the Nickerson USD 309 superintendent for a comment and to see if Shull is still employed. 'You apparently have more information on this than I do,' Superintendent Curtis Nightingale responded. 'All I can confirm for you is that she was a part-time, substitute teacher until April of this year. Anything else you need to know will need to come from the law enforcement agencies handling the investigation.' Shull's teaching license expires on June 30. She has bonded out of jail. Teen arrested for pointing gun, shooting at Wichita police
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police said a 14-year-old is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly pointing a gun at officers and firing. It happened just before 7 p.m. on Sunday near Broadway and Kellogg. Authorities were alerted that the teen had taken the firearm from a family member and was walking in the area. When police found the teen, they say the teen pointed the gun in the direction of the officers and discharged multiple rounds. No one was injured, but several bullets struck vehicles. Drag race leads to 3 injuries in Garden City
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A teen and two other passengers were hospitalized after a drag racing crash. It happened on Saturday after 7 p.m. The Garden City Police Department said officers responded to the 600 block of E. Mary. They found a Chevy Camaro with extensive damage. They learned the Camaro had been driving westbound on Mary Street, racing a Dodge Charger. Police said the Camaro was changing lanes when it lost control, struck a curb, slid across grass and hit several metal poles before nearly rolling over. The 19-year-old driver of the Camaro and two others were taken to St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City. The teen was cited for reckless driving and drag racing.
