JFA says estimated cost to introduce VAR technology is $1 million
Ammon News - MP Mohammad Hdeib, Head of the Parliamentary Youth, Sports, and Culture Committee, affirmed that Jordanian football receives direct patronage and support from His Majesty King Abdullah II.
This came during a meeting held by the committee on Sunday, attended by Marwan Jumaa, Deputy to His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, and Samar Nassar, Secretary-General of the Jordan Football Association (JFA).
Also, Hadib pointed to the qualitative shift Jordanian football is witnessing regionally and on the continent, looking forward to achieving a historic achievement by qualifying the Al-Nashama team for the 2026 World Cup.
Hadib, along with MPs Rand Al-Khazouz and Mu'ayyad Alawneh, stressed the the Lower House's commitment to providing all possible forms of support to the Jordan Football Association.
Deputy to Prince Ali, Marwan Jumaa, pointed out that the introduction of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology is a top priority for the JFA, explaining that the estimated cost of the project is approximately $1 million.
For her part, Nassar explained that the royal vision outlined a clear roadmap for supporting the national team, through the Royal Designation Letter issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II to the government of Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, which included a comprehensive plan to support the sports sector.
