Bluffton native feeling ‘really good' ahead of Club Car Championship

Yahoo01-04-2025

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Bluffton native Bryson Nimmer said he's feeling 'really good' about his golf game ahead for the Club Car Championships later this week at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club.
The Clemson alum has not played a lot of golf this year on the Korn Ferry tour. His only tournament so far on the tour was the Astaria Chile Classic almost a month ago. He made the cut and finished tied for 53rd.
In 2024, Nimmer played in 18 events. He made the cut seven times and had two Top 25 finishes.
The Landings is a relatively short course at just under 7,200 yards and the wind can present a challenge at times.
'You just have to hit it well all around here,' Nimmer said. 'The wind can get up, obviously, here in Savannah. So just kind of managing your game, messing it in the right spots when you do get on tricky holes and just try to make as many pars and birdies as you can. Eliminate the big numbers.'
Nimmer tees off in the first round at 9:10 a.m. from the first tee with Marcelo Rozo and Harry Hillier. As for the second round, Nimmer's group has the late time at 2:25 p.m. from the 10th hole.
Savannah native Hughes Threlkeld will tee off ten minutes later from the 10th hole. In his threesome is Parker Gillam and Robbie Higgins.
Threlkeld's group is also ten minutes behind Nimmer's for the second round.
As for Savannah native Shad Tuten, he will tee off much later in the day, 2:15 p.m. from the 10th hole. He is paired with Evan Harmeling and Chase Sienkiewicz. Tuten's group has the early time in the second round at 9:00 a.m. off the first tee.
The field was finalized late Tuesday afternoon.
There was a delay because the Monday qualifier was not complete due to rain. The field will have 156 players and had 10 alternates.
Nimmer received a sponsors' exemption to be in the field.
