Should you buy a Switch 2? Will the price go up? What to know about Nintendo's new console

The Nintendo Switch 2 console has officially been released. It is the follow-up to Nintendo's second bestselling gaming device ever, the 2017-released Switch, which, with sales topping 150 million, is behind only the Japanese gaming giant's handheld Nintendo DS.
Thus, the Switch 2 carries expectations.
Though it has a larger, higher-resolution 1080p screen and more processing power than its predecessor, it is not a wholesale reimagining.
It looks similar, albeit just a tad larger, and again comes with detachable controllers, which Nintendo dubs 'Joy-Cons', only now they are magnetised. Switch owners will feel right at home with the new device.

Yet a new video game console brings with it questions. What is worth playing? Is it easy to upgrade? And will it even be in stock?

Chinese social media giant RedNote opens Hong Kong office, its first outside mainland

Chinese social media giant RedNote has opened an office in Hong Kong, its first outside mainland China, a move the city's finance chief hopes will provide a boost to local businesses and the platform's international expansion. Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po said on Saturday that he had personally invited the company, also known as Xiaohongshu, to set up a base in the city. 'When I visited Shanghai at the end of last year, I made a special visit to Xiaohongshu's headquarters,' Chan wrote on social media. 'I was deeply impressed by the team's youthful vitality and innovative spirit, and I invited them to Hong Kong to use it as a base to develop their international business.' Chan was officiating an opening ceremony, where he said the company's presence in Hong Kong would foster closer connections with the city's community, offering new perspectives and channels for local businesses in product design, marketing and promotion. Video game preview – Anno 117: Pax Romana is a real-time city-building epic

I have spent hundreds of hours on Civilization and its sequels, but I haven't played many other strategy games beyond Amplitude Studios' works, such as Humankind and Big Huge Games' Rise of Nations. When I had a chance to preview Ubisoft's Anno 117: Pax Romana, I did not know what to expect aside from it being a historical strategy game, but with a more focused era. I was expecting something Civ-ish, but I was wrong. Anno 117 is different to anything I've played before. The coming PC game puts players in the role of a new Roman governor during a relatively peaceful 200-year span. Players start with a single settlement, but they'll have to expand and build a network of eternal cities. They'll start in Latium – the area around Rome in today's west-central Italy – with a Mediterranean climate and ruins from the past. The 'world' map from Anno 117: Pax Romana.
