Netanyahu congratulates Trump, says US ‘unsurpassed' after attack on Iran
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Donald Trump on Sunday for the 'bold' US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling the attack a historic moment that could lead the Middle East to peace.
'Congratulations President Trump. Your bold decision to target Iran's nuclear facilities with the awesome and righteous might of the United States will change history,' Netanyahu said in a video address after Trump announced the US bombing of three Iranian facilities.
The attack demonstrated America was 'truly unsurpassed,' Netanyahu said, thanking Trump for creating a 'pivot of history' that will 'help lead the Middle East and beyond to a future of prosperity and peace.'
'President Trump and I often say, peace through strength. First comes strength, then comes peace,' Netanyahu said.
He added in a separate statement that the US attacks had been carried out in coordination with Israel and said the promise of destroying Iran's nuclear program was fulfilled.
Earlier, Trump announced on his social media platform that US warplanes had struck Iran's Fordow nuclear enrichment plant, as well as the Natanz and Isfahan facilities.
The United States joins key ally Israel's bombing campaign after Trump spent days mulling possible involvement.
Israel and Iran have traded wave after wave of devastating strikes since Israel launched attacks on June 13, saying Tehran was on the verge of developing a nuclear weapon. Iran denies having any such ambition.

Iran Says it Cannot Return to Diplomacy while Under Attack
Iran reserves all options to defend its security, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Sunday, adding that Tehran could not return to diplomacy while under attack by Israel and the United States, and would consult with Russia on Monday. "The US showed they have no respect for international law. They only understand the language of threat and force," Araghchi said, adding that Tehran has to respond based on its rights before diplomacy can be reconsidered. The Iranian foreign minister said he will fly to Russia, with whom Iran has a strategic partnership, and consult with President Vladimir Putin on Monday. The United States attacked three sites in Iran early Sunday. Iran's Foreign Ministry said Washington had 'betrayed diplomacy' with the military strikes in support of Israel, and said that 'the US has itself launched a dangerous war against Iran.'

UAE nuclear regulation authority says no impact on UAE after US strikes on Iran
The United Arab Emirates' Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation said there was no impact on the country following strikes by the US on Iran's nuclear facilities, UAE's state news agency reported on Sunday. Earlier on Sunday, the Saudi regulatory authorities said that 'no radioactive effects were detected' in the Gulf region after US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. Kuwait also issued a similar statement saying it "did not detect an increase in radioactive traces in Kuwaiti airspace and waters." US President Donald Trump announced on Saturday night that American forces had struck three nuclear sites in Iran, calling the operation 'a spectacular military success' and warning that more attacks would be ordered if Tehran did not agree to a deal.
