Reports: Bucks' Pat Connaughton picks up $9.4M player option
June 22 - Milwaukee Bucks wing Pat Connaughton has picked up his player option for the 2025-26 season worth $9.4 million, according to multiple reports on Saturday.
Connaughton, 32, had until Tuesday to exercise the option for the final season of a three-year, $28.5 million extension he signed in 2022, per the reports.
He averaged 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 41 games (one start) last season. His average of 14.7 minutes was his lowest mark in seven seasons with Milwaukee. Connaughton's 3-point shooting (32.1 percent) was his lowest since his rookie season of 2015-16.
The Brooklyn Nets selected him in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft and traded him the same day to Portland, where he averaged 3.7 points, 1.6 rebounds and 12.6 minutes in 155 games (six starts) over three seasons.
He signed as a free agent with the Bucks in August 2018 and helped Milwaukee win the NBA championship in the 2020-21 season.
For his career, Connaughton has averaged 6.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 19.2 minutes in 595 games (72 starts).

LOS ANGELES, June 21 (Reuters) - River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo is confident he can still field a team capable of defeating Inter Milan in his side's final Group E game at the Club World Cup despite losing several players due to suspension. Gallardo saw Kevin Castano sent off in the latter stages of Saturday's 0-0 draw at the Rose Bowl with Monterrey, while yellow cards for Enzo Perez and Giuliano Galoppo mean the pair will also miss the meeting with the Italians on Wednesday in Seattle. River Plate are one of South America's most successful clubs, winning the Copa Libertadores on four occasions as well as the Intercontinental Cup in 1986. Their draw with Monterrey means the Argentinians are level on four points with Inter Milan in Group E. The two teams are due to face off in their final group game on Wednesday. Logan O'Hoppe powers Angels in rout of Astros
June 22 - Logan O'Hoppe hit two home runs and drove in four runs and Luis Rengifo also homered as the Los Angeles Angels cruised to a 9-1 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif. It was the fourth multi-homer game of O'Hoppe's career and the second this season. Zach Neto doubled twice and scored a run, Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI and Taylor Ward doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs for Los Angeles, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Jose Soriano (5-5) picked up the win after allowing one run on three hits over 6 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out 10 -- the second time in three starts he hit double-digits in strikeouts. Jose Altuve walked three times and scored a run for Houston, which finished with just three hits. Brandon Walter (0-1), making the fourth start of his career, suffered the loss in yielding seven runs on nine hits in six innings. Walter, who had allowed a total of just three runs in his three previous starts, walked one and struck out six. Los Angeles took a 2-0 lead in the second inning when Rengifo drilled a two-run homer 408 feet over the bullpen in left field. The Angels extended the lead to 6-0 with four runs in the third.
