Three young sisters vanished during a planned visitation with their homeless dad, sparking an urgent police search to find them. Police in Washington state have launched a massive search for Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker 8, and their younger sibling Olivia Decker after they disappeared during a visit with their dad, Travis Decker, 32.
The three children were last seen at about 5:30pm on May 30, according to the Wenatchee Police Department (WPD), who operate in the city about 150 miles east of Seattle. The girls' mum, Whitney Decker has since called on the public to help find her daughters.

In a Facebook post shared on May 31, Mrs Decker said: "Last night at 8pm Travis was supposed to drop the girls back off with me and never showed. The cops have him going north out of Wenatchee at 5:41. If you could please all keep an eye out for him, his phone is off and every hotel in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee have been checked."
FAMILIES OF THE MISSING
Missing people: Facts and Myths
Every year, 170,000 people vanish in the UK – that's one person every 90 seconds. Fortunately, most return home within a few days, often without the need for a public appeal.
For adults over 18, going missing isn't illegal, but the police will want to ensure their safety. If there are concerns for their welfare, a public appeal might be launched. Importantly, you don't need to wait 24 hours to report someone missing. If their absence is unusual, contact the police immediately. Any child who goes missing will be looked for by police though they are not often given public facing appeals.
How the Missing People charity Supports Families
Missing People works closely with the police to amplify missing appeals and provide vital support to families. They offer practical help in searches and emotional support to those affected. If you need assistance or want to see your loved one's appeal on the Missed map, call their Helpline on 116 000. It's free, confidential and non-judgemental. They are also there to listen if you are thinking of disappearing or have already left.
The Role of Public Appeals
Not all missing cases are made public. In situations involving domestic abuse or severe mental health issues, publicity might do more harm than good. That is one reason why you will only see a fraction of missing cases on the Missed map.
When sharing appeals, it's crucial to use the official channels from the Missing People website or via the share button on the Missed map. This ensures that once the person is found, all traces of the appeal are removed, respecting their privacy. The Mirror is committed to removing digital footprints of shared appeals, ensuring the missing person's right to be forgotten is upheld.
By sharing official appeals, you help protect the privacy and dignity of those who have been found.
The WPD said Travis is homeless and that his visitation had been agreed upon by both parents. As a result, an alarm was sent in a bid to find the girls.
"The father, Travis Decker, is homeless and living in his vehicle or at various hotels/motels or at campgrounds in the area," a WPD spokesperson said in a June 1 Facebook post. "The visitation was part of a parenting plan, but he has since gone outside the parameters of it which is not normal and cause for the alarm.

"The current investigation has not met AMBER Alert criteria, but the situation being monitored closely. However, an Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMPA) has been issues through the Washington State Patrol."
Paityn is described as being 4ft 8ins, with brown hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue shirt, purple shorts and pink Nikes. Her sister Evelyn is described as 4ft 4ins, with blonde hair, brown eyes and it is not known what clothes she was last wearing.

Their sibling Olivia is described as 4ft 2ins with blonde hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a coral/ pink shirt at the time she disappeared. Their dad is described as 5ft 8ins with black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a light-coloured shirt and dark shots.
His pickup truck has plates with the number DC0165C, a wanted posted released by police. Anyone who recognises Decker or his daughters is advised to call 911.
The Mirror has contacted the WPD for comment via its Facebook page. According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons Systems, there are 912 open missing persons cases in Wasington state with 1,005 being listed as resolved.
• The Mirror is using its platform to launch Missed – a campaign to shine a light on underrepresented public-facing missing persons in the UK via a live interactive map, in collaboration with Missing People Charity. Greg Monks 'likely to have fallen into ravine after attempting to scale fence'

Gary Monks' body was discovered down a ravine after he disappeared during a stag do in Albufeira, Portugal, a week ago, and a police source has said what likely happened A Scot whose body was discovered after he disappeared while on a stag do in Portugal is thought to have fallen down a ravine to his death after he jumped a fence while lost, according to police. Greg Monks, 38, disappeared during a stag party in the tourist trap of Albufeira in the early hours of May 28, sparking a desperate search that saw his heartbroken parents and girlfriend fly out to help find him, reports the Mirror. ‌ Greg was last spotted on CCTV in the residential area of Cerro de Aguia, located roughly four miles away from the main bar area and it is believed he was trying to return to his hotel. On Wednesday, Portugese police confirmed that the body of a 38-year-old man had been discovered in the search for Greg. Sources from law enforcement said investigators believe Greg, from Glasgow, got lost and fell to his death as he tried to get back to his hotel. ‌ Authorities said that having investigated possible paths he may have taken, they tragically found a body in the Cerro de Aguia area where he laid undiscovered for a week in high temperatures. The police source added: 'There is nothing at this stage to indicate this man's death was linked in any way to a crime. But we need to wait for the autopsy results to conclude that is the case.' He added: 'Our belief is he lost all notion of where he was after drinking heavily and finding himself in an unfamiliar place, and that he jumped over a wall and fell to his death.' Forensic officers have been seen at the ravine where Greg's body was found, gathering evidence. Authorities had said that the body was found "on a vacant and very uneven terrain" and that it was taken away for an autopsy. ‌ Following the heartbreaking news that the body had been found, Greg's sister Jillian paid a heartbreaking tribute calling him "an amazing boy". Lluest Horse and Pony Trust marks 40th anniversary

The Lluest Horse and Pony Trust, based in Llandeusant, marked the milestone on Sunday, June 1, with a variety of activities. Founded in 1985 by Ginny Hajdukiewicz, the trust has been a sanctuary for horses and ponies in need. Ms Hajdukiewicz, who moved to the Black Mountains to start the organisation, was remembered fondly by attendees. Her dedication to the welfare of horses was unwavering, even at the expense of her own comfort. Ms Hajdukiewicz passed away from breast cancer in 1994, but her legacy lives on through the trust. The anniversary celebrations drew a large crowd, who enjoyed demonstrations, a vintage tea tent, craft stalls, a horse tack sale, and a fun dog show. Willow the Cocker Spaniel, owned by Carol Fleetwood, and Rosie the Beagle, owned by Martin Thomas, were awarded best in show and reserve respectively. (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) (Image: Stuart Ladd) Visitors also had the chance to tour the trust's indoor stables, meeting horses and ponies currently undergoing rehabilitation and those looking for new homes. Additionally, some successfully rehomed horses made a special return to Llandeusant for the event. The trust has announced a series of fundraising events planned throughout 2025. These include a Facebook auction of specially donated items, an anniversary calendar, and another open day on September 7.

Rhayader man harassed ex through TV and ring doorbell camera

A POWYS man harassed his ex-girlfriend by speaking to her through her ring doorbell camera and logging into her television to post obscene messages. Over a month-long period in January, Jamie Hughes bombarded his ex with emails, followed her around Llandrindod Wells and threatened to slash her car tyres, leaving her filled with 'anxiety and dread'. Following their break-up, Hughes moved out their home but would access her ring doorbell via his phone and try to speak to her. He accessed her TV while she was in the house and left an obscene message on the screen, leaving her fearing she was being constantly watched via camera in her home. Hughes, 30, admitted a charge of harassment without violence before Llandrindod Wells Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, June 3. The charge states Hughes, of Maes Brenin, Rhayader, pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment, in that he sent inappropriate messages, unwanted and threatening emails and followed her. Prosecutor James Sprunks said Hughes was reported to police for harassment after the relationship ended on January 4. 'She asked him to remove himself from the app and give her the log-in details, but he refused," Mr Sprunks said. "He would contact her through the camera, asking to speak to her. 'He would ask her 'Who you seeing' and told her 'I know you had a lad around last night'. 'She also employed him for a week after the break-up but he kept contacting her for unrelated matters so she had to make him unemployed. 'He would send her abusive and urgent 'call me' emails. She repeatedly told the defendant she didn't want any contact. 'On one occasion she accidentally ordered a takeaway using his bank details. He wanted his money back and she said she would, on condition that he send her the log-in details. 'He told her 'If you don't give me the money back I'll slash your tyres'.' Mr Sprunks said Hughes was even able to access his victim's TV via an app, and left an offensive message. 'He was accessing the TV through an app. The TV would randomly turn itself off. 'She would go to work at a hotel and would often see him walking past. He would then send an email asking who she was meeting. He followed her into a car park once. 'She blocked the defendant on all platforms, but she couldn't on email. He hacked her Facebook account and blocked various friends and family. 'She said she always feels he's watching her through the cameras, which made her feel distressed.' Mr Sprunks read out a victim impact statement which said: "This has caused me the worst anxiety I've ever felt. 'I hope one day I can recover from this and he will understand the impact he's had and how much he's damaged my life.' Michelle Thomas, representing Hughes, asked magistrates for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. 'He has an elderly grandmother who he cares for and he has information to give to the probation service,' she said. Magistrates ordered the report and told Hughes to return to court for sentence on June 24.
