Get a glimpse of what went on during the finale of host, Chris Leow's mission to create a floating farm out at sea in Semporna, Malaysia.
From unpredictable weather to logistical hurdles, the crew faced unique challenges while capturing this groundbreaking project.
Growing Wild
About the show:
Over two seasons of Growing Wild, urban farmer Chris Leow has been a man on a mission.
Season 1 introduced us to growing edibles and brought nature into our personal spaces. Season 2 allowed us to imagine how we can not just grow food better, but also safeguard the environment at the same time.
So where do we go from here?
The answer is bigger, bolder, wetter!
Growing Wild: Project Castaway is bigger in scope, bolder in execution.
For one entire year, Chris dedicates himself to a whole new farming frontier - the ocean. He wants to build a floating farm that pushes the boundaries of self-sufficiency in food, energy and water.
Is this a fool's gambit? Not everyone thinks so. Students from NUS Landscape Architecture, ITE College East are lining up to join Captain Chris. Instructions are not included and success is not guaranteed, but he's determined to sow the seeds for a better future.

In 'Culture Club', Melanie Oliveiro speaks with Stuart Lloyd, author of 'The Malay Experiment: The Colonial Origins and Homegrown Heroism of the Malay Regiment'. Lloyd will talk about how the book tells the extraordinary story of a small experimental unit of Malay soldiers who became a proud professional regiment — with its defining moment being the Battle for Singapore in February 1942. He'll also explain how the book commemorates the bravery of men like Lieutenant Adnan Saidi, who held back Japanese forces in one of the most dramatic moments in Singapore's wartime history.
