UK summer 2025 forecast hotter with more heatwaves and searing temperatures
Synopsis Heatwaves will be more common in the UK this summer. The Met Office forecast is for a hotter summer while rainfall will be near average. The country had witnessed over 40C temperature in 2022. Summer season will continue to grow hotter due to several factors including climate change. The sea surface temperature is also rising. Britain is likely to bake in 2025 with a much hotter summer in store following a record-breaking sunny and dry spring. The Met Office forecasts show increased chances of heatwaves as the summer season progresses. Even though Britain is unlikely to experience prolonged period of heat, the summer season will have several hotter days.

However, the rainfall and wind speed during the summer season is not forecast to have any abnormal behaviour and will be near average.
