‘Monster' Royal Ascot horse outruns a car in blistering workout under Ryan Moore – as bookies scramble to slash price
EVERY punter knows the famous story of how legendary racehorse Frankel famously outran the 7.13am train from Newmarket to Cambridge.
But it looks like a new legend could be made after a 'monster' Royal Ascot runner appeared to show more zip than a car in a 'blistering' piece of work.
Millionaire runner Satono Reve impressed all those who saw him on the July track at Newmarket on Wednesday morning.
Trained by Noriyuki Hori, the international raider looked a machine when extending under the watchful eye of his master trainer.
Footage of his work showed a car in the distance fail to get up close to the six-year-old as he absolutely flew past those near the post.
And his workmate, a local horse trained by James Horton, was soon left trailing in his wake.
But it was Moore's role in the saddle that really got tongues wagging ahead of Satono Reve's intended run in the star-studded Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes next Saturday.
Satono Reve has won seven of his 11 career races and amassed more than £2.5million in prize money.
British punters may not know much about him but he has form against Ka Ying Rising - officially the best sprinter in the world.
Paddy Power and Ladbrokes cut the speedster to 6-1 from 8s after footage of Satono Reve's work under Moore spread online.
Paddy's Paul Binfield said: "There's been a bit of interest for the Japanese raider this morning and while it's hard to equate winning a Grade One at Chukyo with the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, the volume we've seen has forced us into evasive action and the Hori-trained runner is into 6-1 from 8s."
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes added: "Satono Reve placed behind superstar Ka Ying Rising on both his previous trips abroad, and punters are excited to see how that translates at Royal Ascot."
Punters absolutely loved what they saw.
One said Satono Reve 'burned up the turf' while another added in response to the footage simply: "Monster."
He'll have his work cut out in the race proper, with globe-trotting superstar Lazzat, one of many recently bought by Wathnan, heading the market at 3-1.

Thomas Frank has been confirmed as Tottenham 's new head coach on a three-year contract. Frank is moving across London after nine years at Brentford to succeed Ange Postecoglou, sacked last Friday, 16 days after his team won the Europa League. 'In Thomas we are appointing one of the most progressive and innovative head coaches within the game,' said a Spurs spokesman. 'He has a proven track record in player and squad development and we look forward to him leading the team as we prepare for the season ahead.' Brentford's director of football Phil Giles issued heartfelt thanks to Frank for his impact on the club he led to promotion in 2021. 'It has been a pleasure working alongside Thomas,' said Giles. 'From the moment he replaced Dean Smith, he understood what we were trying to build and his wisdom, coaching ability and emotional intelligence have helped transform the club. Justin Cochrane will join Frank at Spurs although Brentford tried their utmost to keep him the 43-year-old, who spent nine years coaching career in Tottenham's academy. Cochrane, who joined the Bees three years ago from Manchester United is on Thomas Tuchel's England staff and so highly rated that Brentford considered him among the candidates for the head coach role. Also moving across London from the Getch Community Stadium are fitness coach Chris Haslam and analyst Joe Newton. Andreas Georgson will join the coaching team from Manchester United. Postecoglou's assistant coaches Mile Jedinak, Nick Montgomery and Sergio Raimundo have all left Spurs with Matt Wells and goalkeeping coach Rob Burch remaining. Postecoglou's success in delivering silverware, which he promised he would, means that the Dane will take charge of Tottenham in the Champions League, and he will want a squad that is able to compete at the top level. Reports had claimed Tottenham were looking to hijack Manchester United's push to sign Frank's golden boy Bryan Mbeumo from his now former club. However, sources have disclosed that Spurs are 'highly unlikely' to enter the race for the forward, who scored 20 goals in the Premier League last term. Wimbledon increases winners' prize to $4.07M
June 13 - The All England Lawn Tennis Club, organizers of The Wimbledon Championships, announced Thursday that prize money for the players will increase seven percent in 2025 and reach a record $72.59 million -- twice the amount from a decade ago. Both the women's and men's single champions will earn $4.07 million, an 11.1 percent increase from a year ago. Opening round losers will take home nearly $90,000, a 10 percent jump from 2024. "This year's round-by-round breakdown shows our focus on both the early and late rounds of the draw, rewarding the successes of our champions, but also continuing to support the lower-ranked players," said Deborah Levans, chairwoman of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. The tournament gets underway on June 30 and concludes on July 13 in London. Reigning French Open champion Carlos Alcaraz will be attempting to defend his Wimbledon title, while Barbora Krejcikova returned from injury last month and will try to recapture her magical run of 2024. In other news from Wimbledon, officials announced that line judges will be replaced by electronic line judging for the first time in the Grand Slam event. Zoe Ball is set to 'share a rare insight into her life in surprise new TV gig featuring three generations of her family'
Zoe Ball has reportedly been eyeing up a return to TV and the surprise gig could be a family affair. The Radio 2 DJ's famous presenter father Johnny Ball, 87, is said to have created a new educational series - and he wants his daughter to front it. Johnny is known for popularising mathematics and The Sun has reported his new show will focus on the history of the subject. The show will feature Johnny, 87, his daughter Zoe, 54, and his DJ grandson Woody Cook, 24, and to complement the family hosting it will look at the history of maths across three generations. Johnny is said to be so invested in the series, he rejected the opportunity for him, Zoe and Woody to compete as a trio on Celebrity Race Across The World. It will be the second time Zoe appears on screen with her son Woody, who she shares with her ex-husband Fat Boy Slim, after they did Gogglebox together. It comes after last year she revealed she had been battling another painful health condition - TMJ (temporomandibular joint) - after announcing her departure from her Breakfast Show host role. At the time she said she was quitting her breakfast show to 'focus on family' and then also had to face the health condition which causes bad headaches. Speaking about her bursitis this weekend on her show she said: 'Yes, it's come to that. Fifty-four and I got bursitis.' Despite the pain she has still been training with her personal coach, Seth, in a bid to improve her strength. 'Thank you to Seth,' she said on the show. 'I found out I've got a… what is it? A rating of… was it a four or five on the fitness level? 'I was quite impressed with myself - out of, I think it's nine or ten. You've gotta start somewhere, haven't you?'. Zoe returned to her new Saturday afternoon show on BBC Radio 2 in early May after previously taking a step back to focus on time with her family. The star stepped down from her breakfast show in December to 'focus on her family,' bidding farewell to her £950,000 salary. Reconnecting with her listeners she announced: 'Hello it's me, oh it's lovely to be back on a Saturday. 'This is where it all began for me back when I used to sweep up and make the teas.'
