1. QB NICO IAMALEAVA TO UCLA BECOMES OFFICIAL
UCLA is officially getting the top-ranked player in the transfer portal rankings. 2. OKLAHOMA GETS FORMER FIVE-STAR DT DAVID STONE BACK
David Stone was the third-highest ranked prospect Oklahoma has signed from the high school ranks since the early 2000s and the program very nearly lost him to the transfer portal this weekend. The standout defensive tackle surprisingly entered the transfer portal on Friday night. Since then head coach Brent Venables, co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach Todd Bates and general manager Jim Nagy have worked non-stop to bring him back into the fold and that's exactly what happened on Sunday evening. Stone has drawn rave reviews from the coaching staff for how he has developed this offseason and how he has set himself up for success this coming season.

3. GEORGIA LANDS EASTER TRIO
The reigning SEC Champions had themselves a big Sunday. Head coach Kirby Smart and company added a standout edge defender and brought in more depth at running back and on the defensive line. Elo Modozie was responsible for 37 quarterback pressures, seven sacks and one forced fumble last season for Army en route to being named third-team All-AAC. The edge defender is expected to see plenty of playing time this season for the Bulldogs.
Also on the defensive front, Georgia is bringing in former Miami defensive tackle Josh Horton. The redshirt freshman has played just 60 snaps in two seasons but he fills a need for the Bulldogs and still has three seasons of eligibility left. That's plenty of time to develop into the type of defensive lineman Georgia has become known to produce.

Former Illinois running back Josh McCray will suit up for Georgia this coming season after leading the Illini in rushing last year. The Bulldogs needed another running back after they lost Branson Robinson to the transfer portal last week.

4. DE TJ BUSH JR. TO CAL
The transfer portal hasn't been kind to Cal but today the Bears got some great news in the form of productive defensive end TJ Bush Jr. Over the last two seasons, the former Liberty standout has created 55 quarterback pressures, nine sacks and seven batted passes according to Pro Football Focus. Bush is one of four defensive linemen to transfer to Cal this offseason, a unit the Bears prioritized this transfer cycle.
5. SMU LANDS FORMER SEC PASS RUSHER
SMU is working on replicating last season's run to the College Football Playoff and getting better in the trenches is at the top of their priority list. Adding Jahkai Lang is a big step in the right direction. The former Missouri edge defender was on the field for 62 passing plays, where he generated nine quarterback pressures and two sacks. That's excellent production for such limited opportunities to get to the quarterback.
6. AUBURN ADDS TWO DEFENDERS
Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze is bringing a familiar face back to the Tigers defense. Former Auburn signee Jay Hardy, who originally picked the Tigers during the 2020 recruiting cycle, is heading back to the Plains after suiting up for Liberty for the past three seasons. During that time he amassed 54 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, two sacks, and three batted passes.

Also on defense, former Maryland standout Caleb Wheatland committed to Auburn on Sunday. The linebacker, who started every game for the Terps last season, and led the team in sacks a year ago. The Tigers have signed a Maryland transfer in three-straight offseasons.

7. OLE MISS ADDS ALL-CONFERENCE RUNNING BACK
In December, Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin and company signed top-10 running back transfer Kewan Lacy out of Missouri and former Akron running back Jordon Simmons. This two running back transfer class dropped to one on Wednesday when Simmons decided to leave after spending just the spring in Oxford. Today Ole Miss landed their replacement for Simmons in the form of 2024 second-team All-Sun Belt running back Damien Taylor. He ran for 1,010 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

8. DB TERRANCE LOVE TO COLORADO
Colorado continued to add to its secondary on Sunday with former Auburn safety Terrance Love. With two years of eligibility remaining, Love has played 102 snaps during his collegiate career according to Pro Football Focus. Love's experience while at Colorado's spring game on Saturday sealed the deal.

9. QB JADEN RASHADA GOING TO SEE BILL BELICHICK
An interesting situation is set to play out in Chapel Hill. North Carolina and head coach Bill Belichick added top quarterback target Gio Lopez out of South Alabama last week, seemingly filling their need at the position. News broke on Sunday that North Carolina appears to not be done recruiting quarterbacks out of the transfer portal as the program is set to host Jaden Rashada on Wednesday. The former Arizona State and Georgia quarterback who signed with Florida as part of the 2023 recruiting cycle has not been able to latch onto a program for more than one season.

10. TWO OFFENSIVE ADDITIONS FOR VIRGINIA
This transfer class for Virginia and head coach Tony Elliott now features more than 20 players after their additions on Sunday. Former Arkansas and Colorado running back Isaiah Augustave announced he'll suit up for the Cavaliers next season. He was Colorado's leading rusher last season with 379 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 102 carries.
Offensive lineman Wallace Unamba is also on his way to play for Virginia next season. The 6-foot-6, 335-pound Unamba is a former junior college prospect who went on to play for Florida Atlantic and New Mexico before transferring to Kentucky in December. However, he was only in Lexington for the spring, entering the transfer portal again when it opened on Wednesday. Virginia, who had pursued Unamba in December, worked quickly to bring him into the fold.

5 Chicago Cubs who could make the National League All-Star team with fan voting underway

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A first-place team with the best record in the National League is bound to land on the radar of baseball fans. The Chicago Cubs could have multiple representatives at the All-Star Game next month as they entered Wednesday, when the first phase of All-Star Game voting began, with the best winning percentage in the National League while sitting atop the division. All-Star Game voting will continue through June 26 when the top-two vote-getters at each position and the top six outfielders in each league will be revealed and advance to the second phase of voting. That will determine who starts for each league. The full teams will be announced July 6 ahead of the All-Star Game on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta. The Cubs last had multiple All-Stars in 2023, when they were represented by left-hander Justin Steele, right-hander Marcus Stroman and shortstop Dansby Swanson, though the latter two did not play in the game. The 2025 All-Star Game could be the first time the Cubs have multiple position players in the Midsummer Classic since 2022, when catcher Willson Contreras and left fielder Ian Happ made it. 'You get a brand of baseball that's fun to watch, obviously winning games and playing good baseball, but you have guys that are fun so it helps showcase everybody on a national stage,' Happ said. 'I think we should have a number of guys representing the Cubs there, and what a fun trip that'll be for those guys to be able to enjoy that together.' Some NL positions are stacked, which could thwart some deserving players of All-Star honors, but the Cubs have a few who are building a compelling case to be included. If the season ended today, Crow-Armstrong would be firmly in the NL MVP conversation. The 23-year-old has been electric in all facets. His defense in center field could win him his first Gold Glove Award, and his combination of power and speed continues to put him in rare company by slugging 15 home runs and 15 doubles and stealing 21 bases through 60 games. Crow-Armstrong leads all NL players in fWAR (3.6) and is one of only three to have eclipsed the 3.0 WAR mark so far, joining the Los Angeles Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani (3.2) and the Arizona Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll (3.0). At this point, it'll qualify as a shock if Crow-Armstrong isn't representing the Cubs in Atlanta. Although his jammed right ring finger kept him out of the lineup Wednesday for a second straight game, Tucker's consistency has him among the best hitters in his first season in the NL. He owns the second-best wRC+ (155) and wOBA (.391) among NL outfielders and is fifth in fWAR (2.5). Tucker has shown an incredible approach at the plate, highlighted by his 14.9 K% (fourth best) and 11.9 K% (tied for lowest). Suzuki's status as a designated hitter, rather than an outfielder, could be a hindrance with Ohtani and the Philadelphia Phillies' Kyle Schwarber also on the ballot. But for as much as Suzuki likes to say he isn't a home run hitter, his 14 homers trail only Ohtani (23) and Schwarber (19) among DHs, and he has been an RBI machine. Suzuki's 53 RBIs are one behind MLB leader Rafael Devers of the Boston Red Sox. When Suzuki is locked in, few hitters are more dangerous. Although Kelly has cooled off at the plate the last two weeks after a scorching start, he still has been among the most valuable catchers. His 1.5 fWAR is third among NL backstops while his 161 wRC+ and .401 wOBA are second to the Dodgers' Will Smith and his .538 slugging percentage is first. Kelly also has been a defensive asset, committing just one error and helping a pitching staff that has owns the sixth-best ERA. Don't let the lack of home runs deter from evaluating Hoerner's all-around game. He has been hovering around a .300 average, putting him in rare company among second basemen, and Hoerner has been elite at making contact, owning just a 7.6 K%. Hoerner has been at his best with runners in scoring position, posting a 178 wRC+ and .427 wOBA, which are tops at his position. His defense returned to Gold Glove levels, and he has shown his base-running ability beyond steals. Unfortunately for Busch, the first-base position is stacked in the NL. The Dodgers' Freddie Freeman (2.8 fWAR, 192 wRC+) and New York Mets' Pete Alonso (1.8, 158) are the front-runners at the spot with the Phillies' Bryce Harper (1.3, 136) and Atlanta Braves' Matt Olson (1.5, 121) also having strong seasons. Busch's performance through two months shouldn't be overlooked. Through 56 games, he ranks third in wRC+ (152), wOBA (.388) and slugging percentage (.519) and fourth in fWAR (1.4). He quietly has been a big part of the Cubs' offensive success and consistency.

Dodgers Predicted to Make Bold Shohei Ohtani Lineup Change After Potential Trade

Dodgers Predicted to Make Bold Shohei Ohtani Lineup Change After Potential Trade originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is well on pace for his fourth MVP Award, and he's doing so from a familiar spot. Advertisement Ohtani has hit leadoff in all 59 games, batting .288 with 23 home runs and a 1.039 OPS for the NL West-leading Dodgers. Theoretically, it doesn't make sense to change what's working, especially with Ohtani in position for a second straight 30-30 campaign. However, Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts might want to re-evaluate his lineup if the club acquires Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran. Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer proposed the Dodgers trade three prospects—catcher/outfielder Dalton Rushing, left-handed pitcher Jackson Ferris, and shortstop Emil Morales—to the Red Sox for Duran, a 2024 All-Star with three seasons of team control left. Not only would Duran theoretically replace the struggling Michael Conforto in left field, but Rymer believes he'd hit leadoff. That would push Ohtani down in the lineup to a "more traditional RBI spot." Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei OhtaniJayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images "The more at-bats he takes with men on base, the better," Rymer explained. Advertisement Rymer didn't specify if he believes the Dodgers would bat Ohtani second or third. Ohtani batted .314 with 19 home runs, 46 RBI, and a .989 OPS in 69 games as the No. 2 hitter last year. Things obviously worked out fine for the Dodgers, who won their second title in five seasons. Ohtani hasn't publicly requested or outright demanded Roberts keep him hitting leadoff. First, though, the Dodgers need to acquire Duran—and we expect them to face plenty of competition, so long as the Red Sox are willing to trade the speedy outfielder. WCWS Game 1: Texas Tech vs. Texas live updates, results from the Women's College World Series

The Women's College World Series is set to begin with an All-Texas showdown to determine the best team in college softball. The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Texas Longhorns will star in a best-of-three series for all the marbles in Oklahoma City. Their collision course will conclude a grueling road to the title-winning series, with both teams besting defending champion Oklahoma. After several thrilling games in this WCWS, both teams are bidding for their first national championship. Advertisement No. 12 Texas Tech finished the regular season with a 53-12 record and kicked off the postseason with a 1-0 win over Ole Miss. They then followed the victory with a 3-1 win over UCLA before narrowly beating the Sooners 3-1 to make it to the final series. The upset spelled the end of Oklahoma's dominant reign in college softball over the last four seasons. The Longhorns, ranked sixth, finished the regular season with an impressive 51-11 record. Their journey to the final began with a 3-0 win over the Florida Gators. Like Texas Tech, Texas went down to the wire with Oklahoma to secure a 4-2 win to advance in the tournament. After getting past the defending champions, the Longhorns returned to their dominant ways to beat Tennessee, 2-0.
