Expert picks & predictions for Thursday's Pacers vs. Knicks game
'If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Jalen Brunson is 3-1 to the Over 29.5 and 30.5 points prop in this series and in a win-or-go-home, I think there is another opportunity for an Over here.
At home, Brunson scored 43 and 36 points in this series before falling to 23 and 31 in Games 3 and 4 at Indiana. New York will only go as Brunson goes and 25-plus field goal attempts seems likely once again, so give me his Over 29.5 points (-115) out to 30.5.'

Tyrese Haliburton downplays delayed arrival to OKC due to storms
Tyrese Haliburton downplays delayed arrival to OKC due to storms Well, the Indiana Pacers' arrival in OKC could've gone smoother. As storms and tornadoes took over Oklahoma, the Eastern Conference champion had its flight delayed due to the weather. The mini-stoppage took over NBA Twitter as local folks joked it was an appropriate welcome to the state. The Oklahoma City Thunder held their 2025 NBA Finals Media Day on Wednesday. The Pacers soon followed. A common question asked by the sea of media members was about their impromptu stop at the Tulsa airport before they returned to the air to OKC. Tyrese Haliburton shrugged his shoulders about the stop. He said while the stormy weather delayed their arrival, you can't use that as an excuse or complain about it with nearly two days before the NBA Finals tip off in Thursday's Game 1. "As far as yesterday, we took off, and I slept the whole plane ride, which I don't normally do. We landed, I was ready to get up. They said we were in Tulsa. We sat there for another hour. Then took off again. Felt like we were in the air for another hour and a half," Haliburton said. "What time did we land? 7:00? Normally like 8:00 back home. So, like a five-hour travel day. We might as well travel to Portland. Yeah, it's a long travel day. What can you do? None of us can control the weather. There's worse problems in life. We'll be fine." This is why you love the NBA. It's a 24/7 soap opera. The games only last two hours, but the drama that surrounds the sport never stops. Sometimes that takes the form of funny bits. The Pacers' plane being stuck in Tulsa because of tornadoes on their way to their biggest franchise game since 2000 is an example of that.

LeBron James disses Brian Windhorst for criticizing 'Mind the Game' podcast
LeBron James disses Brian Windhorst for criticizing 'Mind the Game' podcast And we're not done yet. — Mind the Game (@mindthegamepod) June 3, 2025 It seems like LeBron James and ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst have had a falling out of sorts lately. Windhorst had covered James ever since the superstar was in high school, but he has gotten a little too critical for James' liking recently. Windhorst pushed back on James when the latter defended Anthony Edwards for saying Edwards didn't want to be the new face of the NBA. James then had some harsh words for Windhorst during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" in late March. Windhorst also criticized James' "Mind the Game" podcast, which recently returned for a second season with new co-host Steve Nash. The reporter claimed that people wouldn't like a podcast that is focused on the strategic breakdown of basketball, which is what the podcast caters to at a relatively advanced level. James took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to troll Windhorst in a video that includes several positive comments from fans who enjoy the fact that "Mind the Game" is all about the technical breakdown of basketball. Indeed, "Mind the Game" has remained a very popular podcast and has gotten high ratings from users. Unlike other podcasts which focus on news, opinions and what Windhorst called "drama," this one is solely about the Xs and Os and caters to basketball junkies.

LeBron James Doesn't Hold Back on Tyrese Haliburton Ahead of NBA Finals
LeBron James Doesn't Hold Back on Tyrese Haliburton Ahead of NBA Finals originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton were teammates on Team USA last summer. The two All-Stars helped the United States win the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Advertisement As Haliburton prepares for his first NBA Finals appearance, James spoke in depth about the Pacers star on the latest episode of "Mind the Game" with Hall of Famer Steve Nash. James said Haliburton always had a smile on his face despite not playing that much in the Paris Olympics. The leading scorer in NBA history also isn't surprised by how well Indiana is playing right now since Haliburton is the "head of the snake." "Just a great person, man," James said about Haliburton. "Great kid. Didn't matter if he was playing or if he got the opportunity. He was the same guy every single day. And you could see that his mainframe was soaking in all the knowledge and the details being around all of us. "And he was just super appreciative every single day. Never changed his mood. When we have practices, we was doing five-on-five and maybe it was a practice where some of the older guys didn't go that day, he was ready to go. If it was a moment in the game where he was called, he was ready to go." LeBron James and Tyrese HaliburtonKyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports Haliburton has the Pacers in the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000. Advertisement Indiana beat the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks to advance to the NBA Finals. "But just a great kid," James said. "Every single day, he was the same person. Joking, laughing, high-spirited. Someone that you now, you look at what's going on with the Pacers throughout the regular season and now throughout the postseason, you get it. You get why they are the team that they are and it starts with the head of the snake. "Hali is one of them ones and the success is not happening just because it came out the blue. It's happening because of Hali." A two-time All-Star, Haliburton averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 assists in the regular season. He enters the NBA Finals averaging 18.8 points and 9.8 assists.
