J&K Lt Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha on Sunday claimed the Indian armed forces will destroy Pakistan if it resorts to any misadventure again.
'Pakistan is on notice. If it resorts to any misadventure in future, our armed forces will make sure to destroy this terrorist state. I assure the people that there will be no discrimination between armed terrorists and their supporters and sympathisers. Their actions will be met with similar punishment,' he said while addressing the All J&K Jat Sabha in Jammu.
In his address, he also highlighted the valour of the armed forces and reaffirmed the government's resolve to completely rid J&K of terrorism.
He also appealed to the Jat community and all sections of society to strengthen their resolve and unite in the fight against the divisive forces threatening peace and social fabric.
'In these challenging times, your responsibility to uphold national unity is more crucial than ever. The Jat community has a rich legacy of valour, courage, and sacrifice. A significant population of the Jat community resides near our borders, making them the country's first line of defence. I am proud that your devotion to the motherland has deepened the spirit of nationalism in the society,' he said.
He also paid homage to the victims of the Pahalgam attack and those killed due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistan.
He said the Union government is committed to the proper rehabilitation of the affected families.
He further called for recognising the threat from divisive elements who are trying to divide the society.
'We must celebrate our diversity and foster unity to defeat the adversary's nefarious designs. Our brave armed forces have scripted a new saga of valour with Operation Sindoor,' he said.
He emphasised that people's sacred task is to transform the vision of a united and 'Viksit Bharat' into reality and pay a fitting tribute to bravehearts who cherished the dream of a powerful nation.
He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for ushering in an era of equality in Jammu and Kashmir and empowering marginalised communities.
He also reiterated his commitment to the welfare and prosperity of the Jat community.

NEW DELHI: The Israel-Iran conflict may not immediately disrupt global oil supplies , but the tensions could keep prices elevated, squeezing oil marketing companies' margins while having little impact on consumer prices, according to executives at Indian refining firms. An Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, followed by Iran's vow to retaliate, sent shockwaves through the oil market on Friday, pushing benchmark Brent crude up 8% to $75 a barrel. "It is in the interest of the US, Iran, and other West Asian producers to keep oil flowing without disruption," said a refinery executive, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "Producers in the region will not want their trade disrupted, and Trump will be wary of global supply shocks that could push up US pump prices." "India's crude supply basket is currently well-diversified and West Asia has a comparatively smaller footprint than it was a decade ago," said M K Surana, the CEO of Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd and former chief of HPCL . Russia currently supplies about 40% of India's crude imports. "More than supply, it's the price risk that's more relevant to India. This can weigh on oil marketing companies' margins." Contribute now New Delhi: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu phoned Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (June 13) and briefed him about the situation developing in the Middle East, while Modi endorsed an early return of peace, the latter said as the region undergoes turmoil amid Israel's targeted military operation against Iran. Modi said that Netanyahu 'briefed me on the evolving situation' and that in turn he 'shared India's concerns and emphasised the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region'. Netanyahu's office said the Israeli PM had been speaking to world leaders starting the previous night and specifically mentioned three people he had phoned, with Modi being one of them. 'The leaders,' it went on, 'showed understanding for Israel's defence needs in the face of the Iranian threat of annihilation'. Netanyahu would continue to remain in touch with them, his office added. Meanwhile, Indian external affairs minister S. Jaishankar reported receiving a phone call from his Israeli opposite number Gideon Saar and that he had also spoken with Iranian foreign minister Seyed Abbas Aragchi. Early on Friday, Israel began a military operation against arch-enemy Iran, claiming that Tehran was 'closer than ever' to obtaining a nuclear weapon and that given its opposition to Israel's existence, the latter was compelled to launch a 'preemptive' attack. Iran, which denies pursuing nuclear weapons, has confirmed losing top military commanders in the operation, including the chief of staff of its armed forces, as well as senior scientists. Iran bristled at the statement, vowing to open a new enrichment site and upgrade centrifuges at its Fordow nuclear facility. Tel Aviv's military operation also occurs amid talks between Iran and the US regarding the former's nuclear program. The two sides were scheduled to meet in Oman for a sixth round of talks on Sunday but it is unclear whether the program is still on. US President Donald Trump meanwhile has urged Iran to strike a deal with Washington. 'Iran must make a deal, before there is nothing left, and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire.
