In a photo posted on X, Jalen Brunson, Towns, OG Anunoby, Cameron Payne, Josh Hart and PJ Tucker were all seen partying at a Chelsea bar on Monday night and fans are not happy. 'Is it me, or do they look too happy. I'm still not completely over the loss,' one fan commented. 'Damn it hasn't even been a week yet. They ain't expect to get that far did they,' another fan said. In the world of TV markets and sports ratings, the expression 'Bigger is better' usually applies. Yet after a pretty thrilling round of playoffs, the NBA Finals — a showdown between teams representing two of the smallest cities in the league — will put that assumption to the test. Tipping off Thursday, the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder both bring young superstars to the party, including recently anointed league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. But they also hail from Indianapolis and Oklahoma City, which rank No. 25 and 47, respectively, out of the more than 200 individually measured designated market areas (or DMAs) in the U.S., placing them among the bottom seven of the NBA's 30 teams. (Top-ranked New York, whose Knicks were just bounced from the playoffs, boasts a pair of franchises, as does No. 2 market Los Angeles.) Historically, major sporting events benefit from having larger-market teams squaring off, cashing in on the rooting interest in the home cities to boost the most recent examples, last year's World Series, pitting the New York Yankees against the L.A. Meanwhile, buzzy U.K. crime series 'Adolescence,' which first debuted in March, finally surpassed 'Stranger Things 4' on Netflix's all-time most-popular TV English-language list, with 'Adolescence' standing in the No. 2 spot with 141.2 million views to date — behind just 'Wednesday' — while 'Stranger Things 4' ranks third with 140.7 million views. It's worth noting that viewers for 'Stranger Things 4' are likely to surge again ahead of the new season of 'Stranger Things' releasing this fall, as could views for 'Adolescence' given its potential Emmys buzz. The 2025 American Music Awards tacked on a considerable amount of delayed viewers to its original May 26 telecast, growing to reach over 10 million unique viewers across its CBS premiere, as well as encores on MTV, CMT and BET. After bringing in an initial live-plus-same-day viewership of 4.86 million, the Jennifer Lopez-hosted awards scored 5.2 million viewers after seven days of viewing, ranking as the show's biggest audience since 2019 and a 38% uptick from its last live telecast in 2022. Derrick Henry can land an Adam Sandler movie role by making NFL history If Adam Sandler ever plans to make a sequel for The Longest Yard, he won't have to look hard for a large human being to play the role of a football player in the movie. He can just go to Derrick Henry. Henry is a huge Sandler fan, the Baltimore Ravens running back revealed Tuesday on the Dan Patrick Show, asking Patrick to pass the message along to the actor. And not only did Patrick oblige, saying he'll ask Sandler for a personalized video, he told Henry he'll get him in one of Sandler's movies if the running back rushes for 2,000 yards this upcoming season. Henry couldn't agree quicker. Here's the thing: running for 2,000 yards is really hard. Only nine running backs in NFL history have run for as many yards in a season after Saquon Barkley became the latest last season. And while Henry is among the few names on that list (he did it in 2020), and very nearly did it again last season with 1,921 yards, no running back has ever done it twice. Also, Henry's total last season was the most ever by a player over 30. It would be unwise to completely count out King Henry. But with his rushing yards prop at BetMGM sitting at just 1375.5 yards, let's hope Sandler holds a spot for him regardless of what happens on the field.
