
Prada goes global on Mytheresa as e-commerce platform finalizes YNAP deal
German luxury e-commerce platform Mytheresa is expanding the global distribution of Prada 's womenswear, menswear and lifestyle collections. Originally set to launch on April 23, 2022, the move is now officially being announced and implemented in April 2023.
Previously available only to European customers, Prada's collections on Mytheresa will now reach audiences in the United States, Canada, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region. The launch is being celebrated through a dedicated editorial campaign, photographed by Jorin Koers and featuring models Sara Blomqvist and Kim Artur.
"We are very proud now to offer Prada's beautiful collections to our beloved customers worldwide," said Michael Kliger, CEO of Mytheresa. He added that the platform is "deeply grateful for the strong and fruitful partnership with Prada."
The announcement aligns with another major milestone for Mytheresa. Also on April 23, the company finalized its acquisition of Italian-British online retail platform Yoox Net-a-Porter (YNAP) from Swiss luxury group Richemont. This acquisition marks a pivotal step in the evolution of LuxExperience B.V.—formerly MYT Netherlands Parent BV—renamed in January to integrate Mytheresa, Net-a-Porter, Mr Porter, Yoox and The Outnet under a unified operational structure. The strategic merger aims to strengthen the group's position as a global leader in multi-brand luxury e-commerce.
Mytheresa also reported strong financial performance in recent quarters. In the second quarter of the fiscal year, the platform recorded a 13.4% year-over-year increase in net sales. Growth in the United States led the results, rising 17.6% and bringing total net revenue to €223 million —up from €196.6 million in the same quarter the previous year.
At the close of fiscal year 2024, Mytheresa's total net sales rose by 9.8%, reaching €840.9 million. The results were driven by double-digit growth in the second half of the year.

Spain economy minister urges fair, balanced EU-US tariff deal
"There is still a long way to go to reach an agreement, but there remains the will to do so," Cuerpo told AFP in an interview on Thursday. His comments came on the sidelines of a trip to Houston, Texas, as he sought to reassure Spanish businesses rattled by US President Donald Trump's wide-ranging tariffs. Trump has slapped a 10 percent tariff on almost all trading partners including the European Union since returning to the presidency in January. He also threatened to impose heftier duties of 50 percent on the bloc, although pausing the higher rate until July 9. For now, Trump's existing tariffs, including 25 percent US duties on imported automobiles and 50 percent levies on steel and aluminum, are affecting European companies, Cuerpo said. Pressure is mounting as July approaches. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told CNBC this week that an EU deal will likely be among the last that Washington completes, even as he remained optimistic that both sides would reach this goal. Arriving at a deal by July 9 would be ideal as it signals "certainty and confidence," Cuerpo said. He maintained that things are "progressing," stressing that "there is unanimity among the 27 member states to reach a fair and balanced agreement." No 'overreaction' He added that while Europe has prepared a response package to Trump's tariffs, Brussels is holding off implementation so that it cannot be "interpreted as an escalation in this tariff conflict." It is critical that the EU gives a "very clear signal" that it wants to strike a deal with the Trump administration, he said. "We are witnessing a rebalancing of these trade relations at the international level and what nobody knows is what's the new point we will reach," he added.

White Stuff to open store in Lyme Regis
White Stuff 's heading to Lyme Regis, Dorset, for its latest (19 June) opening. Showcasing the womenswear brand's latest summer collections, the 1,300 sq ft store join's the seaside town's high street, creating seven new local jobs. The brand, which says it offers 'unique designs, commitment to sustainable fabrics, and community spirit', said the latest store continues its UK retail expansion strategy and is the fourth of several planned openings this year. Previous openings were in Broughton Shopping Park, Dalton Park and Eastbourne last month while the brand also opened a travel-specific store ahead of the summer season at London Gatwick airport. And to celebrate its 40th year, the British lifestyle label delved into its archive to launch a 17-piece collection called 'Rewind '85'. Area manager Jacqueline Powley, said: 'Located on the historic Jurassic coast, this new location marks an exciting next step.' White Stuff currently operates 117 stores and 49 concessions (including John Lewis and M&S) across the UK serving 1.3 million omnichannel customers a year. The brand also sells internationally via its website and has 606 wholesale stockists (178 in the UK and Northern Ireland and a further 428 internationally).
