The distribution process was carried out under advanced health and organizational measures. The authority ensured a clean and safe environment for worshippers and visitors. Over 1,196 tons of waste were managed to maintain cleanliness at the Two Holy Mosques.

The Jamarat facility has a capacity of over 300,000 pilgrims per hour, allowing for smooth and safe movement during the peak of the stoning ritual throughout the Days of Tashreeq (Dhul Hijjah 11-13). Pilgrims perform stoning ritual seven times on each of the three Jamarat pillars on Tashreeq days. The Jamarat area witnesses the arrival of large groups of pilgrims performing the stoning ritual in a spiritual scene that reflects devotion and emulation of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Historically, the Jamarat consisted of small stone pillars surrounded by narrow spaces and limited pathways, often resulting in overcrowding and difficulty in performing the ritual, especially with the growing number of pilgrims. Today, the site has been transformed into an integrated architectural landmark spanning five levels, with a length of 950 meters and a width of 80 meters. It includes 386 escalators, 11 buildings for escalators, multiple-direction bridges, designated entry and exit paths, emergency exits, as well as advanced cooling and monitoring systems.

Arafat sermon emphasizes faith and unity
DUBAI: Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Hamid, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, delivered the annual Arafat sermon on Thursday at Namirah Mosque, marking one of the most sacred moments of the Hajj pilgrimage. Addressing pilgrims gathered on the plains of Arafat, Sheikh Bin Hamid described the Day of Arafat as a 'great station of faith' where the meanings of monotheism, piety and unity among Muslims were embodied. He urged worshippers to seize the spiritual opportunity of the day through remembrance, gratitude and sincere supplication to Allah. 'The Day of Arafat is a time when Muslims stand as one before their creator, equal in faith, stripped of worldly distinctions, adorned with the values of servitude and humility,' he said. 'It is a day of answered prayers and multiplied good deeds.' The sermon was attended by senior Saudi officials and religious leaders, including Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, deputy governor of Makkah Region and vice chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullatif Al Al-Sheikh, and Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. The Arafat sermon is considered the spiritual centerpiece of Hajj, drawing millions of Muslims each year to the site where the Prophet Muhammad delivered his Farewell Sermon over 1,400 years ago.

Pilgrims Fill Tent City as Arafat Prepares for Key Hajj Rite
The tent city of Mina, considered the world's largest, sprang back to life on Wednesday as nearly two million Muslims began their Hajj journey, marking the Day of Tarwiyah in spiritual preparation for the days ahead. Pilgrims, dressed in simple white garments, filled the sprawling encampment that is inhabited only during the annual Islamic pilgrimage. The ministry advised worshippers to carry umbrellas, stay well-hydrated, wear comfortable walking shoes, and use medical ID bracelets indicating any health conditions. Officials warned that extreme heat could cause sunstroke and lead to loss of consciousness in as little as 10 to 15 minutes if proper precautions are not taken.
