During the star-studded premiere of The Old Guard 2 at Netflix's Tudum Theater in Los Angeles on June 25, the Crazy Rich Asians actor praised his co-star, comparing her work ethic to Tom Cruise.
Henry Golding didn't hold back in sharing his admiration for Charlize Theron's approach to acting and producing. He said in an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, 'You know what it is? She leads from the front. She's like a rare commodity in Hollywood. She is the female counterpart to a Tom Cruise.'
Golding went on to describe the Mad Max: Fury Road star's commitment on set, saying, 'She's the producer. She's on set first thing in the morning, last at night, and she's creating what she wants, and she's in there with the action. She's in there with the choreography.' He simply concluded with, 'She and Tom Cruise are some of the last of the movie stars.'
