(WSAV) — Port Wentworth will hold its 3rd Annual Black History Month program Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Rice Creek Elementary School from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The festival honors the legacy of labor and the African American workforce. Enjoy school band performances, poetry readings, and a guest speaker panel. The event is free and open to the public.

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It's Pride Month, and local and state officials are showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community. Springfield holds fourth annual Pride Parade A pride flag-raising was held in downtown Chicopee Friday afternoon. The LGBTQ+ community says Pride Month brings visibility, and the city of Chicopee has done just that by raising the pride flag each year since 2016. 'We're proud and we're thankful that we live in a city, and a state, a Commonwealth, that is as protected as it is,' said Ray Hoess-Brooks of Chicopee. Chicopee is hosting its Pride Festival on Saturday at Szot Park at noon. More Pride events will be held in western Mass. throughout the month and can be found here. New ocean exhibit opens at Children's Museum of Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A new exhibit opens at the Children's Museum of Memphis Saturday. It's being called Ocean and Me. If you plan to check it out, you and your children can expect fun ocean facts, literacy bubbles, sunken ships and lost treasures. The literacy bubble will feature all types of ocean-related books. Children will have the option to get comfy in one of the inflatable chairs and swim through different book titles. The Ocean and Me exhibit opens June 14 and will continue through the summer season.
