
JKSSB JE Recruitment 2025: Notification for 508 posts out at jkssb.nic.in, check details here
The Jammu and Kashmir Services and Selection Board (JKSSB) released a notification inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 508 Junior Engineer (Civil) posts in the Public Works (R&B) and Jal Shakti Departments.
The online application for the above notification will begin from May 5, 2025 and end on June 3, 2025. The J&K Services Selection Board will notify the date and venue/centre of examination separately on the website. Eligible candidates, therefore, can soon apply at jkssb.nic.in.
Out of the 508 vacant posts under PWD (R&B) and Jal Shakti Department, 150 are to be filled under various posts in Public Works (R&B) Department while the remaining 358 are to be filled under the Department of Jal Shakti.
Maximum age limit for Open Merit (OM) and government service/contractual employment is 40 years of age, for Ex-servicemen and physically challenged person the age limit is 48 and 42 respectively whereas for SC/ST/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC/IB/EWS/OBC the maximum age limit is 43 years of age.

Candidates filling out the online application form are also required to pay a fee of ₹600/—to complete their application. The fee applicable shall be ₹500 /—for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/ST-1/ST-2/EWS and PwBD categories.
Fees can be paid through online mode viz. Net Banking, credit or Debit cards.

The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice Questions. The questions will be set only in English, and there will be 1/4th negative marking. The JE (Civil) paper will be 120 marks and must be completed in 120 minutes.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has released the dates for the Class 10th and 12th supplementary exams online. Students who have registered for the MP Board second chance exams can view the detailed timetable on the official website — Additionally, the board has made the MPBSE supplementary admit cards available online. The Assam State School Education Board has declared the Class 10 or HSLC Compartmental exam results on Monday, June 16, 2025. Candidates who appeared in the exam can check and download their results from the official website at Assam HSLC Compartment Results 2025 live updates Students will need to enter their roll number to check the results on the official website. The board conducted the HSLC compartment exam from May 23 to May 29, 2025. The exam started with MIL/English and Sanskrit papers and concluded with Advanced Mathematics, Geography, History, Computer Science, Commerce and Hindi papers. The examination was held in two shifts. The first shift began from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Students were given 15 minutes extra time from 8.45 am to 9 am in the morning shift and 1.15 pm to 1.30 pm in the afternoon shift to read the question papers. The Compartment examination served as another opportunity for students who failed in maximum of three subjects in the regular HSLC examination and obtained a minimum of 170 marks in aggregate. A candidate has to secure a minimum of 30 per cent marks in the subjects appeared and his/her total marks must be 180 or above. Meanwhile, the SEBA had declared regular HSLC result on April 11. The overall pass percentage stood at 63.98 per cent.
