CM orders crowd control plan for Kainchi Dham fair as footfall triples in a year
Nainital: A record 2.5 to 3 lakh devotees are expected to attend 15 foundation day fair at Kainchi Dham on Sunday, prompting CM Pushkar Singh Dhami to order immediate and long-term measures for crowd and traffic management at the shrine in Nainital district. The fair marks the ashram's consecration and has grown into one of the region's largest religious gatherings. Dhami chaired a high-level meeting on Thursday to discuss a multi-tiered response to the sharp rise in footfall at the pilgrimage site. He directed officials to widen a 3km stretch from the Sanatorium to beyond the Bhowali petrol pump to ease congestion. He also called for a registration system and a visitor cap to be put in place to regulate crowd flow. Nainital DM Vandana Singh highlighted the need for long-term solutions and proposed a mandatory registration system along with a cap on visitor numbers in the future to ensure a safer and more organised pilgrimage experience. She said, "In earlier years, we saw around 8 lakh visitors annually, but 2024 saw a massive surge with 24 lakh pilgrims. We expect 2.5 to 3 lakh devotees to attend the fair and we need better infrastructure to handle this. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Hvor lenge varer 3 mill. kr etter fylte 55? Officials have planned traffic diversions, shuttle services, and 15 designated parking sites across key routes. SDM Tushar Saini shared two helpline numbers — 07302532213 and 05942-245543 — for public assistance. Officials urged devotees to use designated parking and follow all instructions to ensure smooth and safe proceedings. Kim Soo Hyun's company seizes property worth 4 billion KRW; Case filed for the HoverLab CEO's assets
As Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron 's case goes, many other legal actions have been taken against everyone else involved. Recently, it was reported that Kim Soo Hyun was directly involved in the seizure of HoverLab CEO Kim Se Eui 's properties worth 12 billion KRW. The court order was availed by the actor's company, which allegedly seized the properties amid the ongoing defamation case . Kim Soo Hyun seizes YouTuber's properties amid defamation case On June 11, as reported by Newssen, Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative allegedly took hold of two real estate properties that belonged to Kim Se Eui, the CEO of online streaming channel HoverLab. Earlier, Soo Hyun had filed a defamation case against the YouTuber for spreading misinformation and for defaming the actor. His name, however, has not been fully listed in the real estate seizures, as it would require his private records to be made public per legalities. To protect his personal information, his name was not included directly in the real estate seizure. The Seoul Central District Court approved Kim Soo Hyun's agency's request for a damages lawsuit and an asset seizure request. While the request was filed for 11 billion KRW, the properties seized by the company amount to 4 billion KRW. The two apartment complexes, Hanyang 4th Apartment and Buksan Blooming Apartment, are in Apgujeong and Seocho, respectively. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Kim Soo Hyun is listed as a creditor for the provisional seizure of the HoverLab CEO's bank account According to court records, Kim Soo Hyun was listed as one of the creditors in the provisional seizure order. ‘Despicable act': MEA condemns attack on Rabindranath Tagore's ancestral home in Bangladesh, says attempt to erase symbols of tolerance
NEW DELHI: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday strongly condemned the vandalisation of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore 's ancestral home in Bangladesh, describing it as a 'despicable' and 'violent' act that disrespects the memory and inclusive values espoused by the poet. 'We strongly condemn the despicable act of vandalisation of Rabindranath Tagore's ancestral home in Bangladesh by a mob,' MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a statement. 'This violent act is a disgrace to the memory and inclusive values espoused by the Nobel Laureate.' The MEA further noted that such actions are part of 'broad, systematic attempts by extremists to erase symbols of tolerance,' reflecting a concerning trend. "We have urged interim government of Bangladesh to rein in perpetrators and take strict action them," he said. According to reports, the incident occurred at the Rabindra Kachharibari (also known as Rabindra Memorial Museum) in Shahzadpur, Sirajganj, on Wednesday. The Kachharibari is a historic mansion where Tagore lived and composed many of his works. The unrest reportedly began on June 8, when a visitor and his family had an argument with a museum employee over motorcycle parking fees. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Tired of High Power Bills? In reaction, locals staged a protest by forming a human chain on Tuesday. Subsequently, a mob stormed the premises, vandalised the museum's auditorium, and reportedly assaulted a senior director of the institution. Following the attack, Bangladesh's department of archaeology formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident. The committee has been instructed to submit its report within five working days. Md Habibur Rahman, custodian of the Kachharibari, told local media that the site has been temporarily closed to visitors due to "unavoidable circumstances." The Department of Archaeology is monitoring the situation closely. Located in the Rajshahi division, the Kachharibari is not just a historical site but a cultural symbol. It served as both the family estate and revenue office of the Tagore family. Rabindranath Tagore, who became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913, created several of his iconic works while residing in this mansion. The vandalisation of the site has triggered widespread outrage and concern across both India and Bangladesh, with scholars, diplomats, and cultural institutions calling for the protection of shared heritage and historical legacies.
