Hull FC heaped further pressure on struggling Catalans Dragons, inflicting a third Super League shutout on the bounce and back to back victories on the French side for the first time in nine years.A six-try demolition from the visitors showed up all the current weaknesses of the sloppy home side who have now gone three games, against St Helens, Wigan and now Hull FC without scoring a single point.But the frailties of the toothless Dragons should not take away from a ruthless and at times dazzling performance from the Black and Whites in a sun-drenched Stade Gilbert Brutus.Herman Ese'ese, Lewis Martin, Will Pryce, Davy Litten and Tom Briscoe's scores ensured Hull brought home two points in style.Ese'ese got the ball rolling after 10 minutes, barrelling over from close range before Martin finished a length of the field charge after a desperate pass from Luke Keary gifted possession five yards from the Hull goal-line eight minutes later.Yet it was a brace of tries from Hull's exciting 22-year-old full back Pryce which really lit up this contest, the first on 40 minutes from 20 metres inside his own half and the second a scorching 80 metres up the field, which really set the game alight.Further tries for Litten and Briscoe either side of Pryce's second in the second period compounded Catalans Dragons' misery and moved the visitors up to fifth place in the Super League table.More to follow.

But I am not going to make a commitment to the exact date until we can make good on that commitment,' he told the BBC. Sir Keir Starmer said the defence strategic review was needed because the 'world has changed', especially since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The prime minister played down the prospect of a future nuclear warfare, but said nuclear deterrence had been an effective tool since the end of the Second World War. 'We need to ask how Nato can preserve the peace for decades to come,' he said. Luke Pollard, the armed forces minister, has refused to guarantee that defence spending would reach 3 per cent of GDP, saying it would only happen when 'economic conditions allow'. 'Well, we've set out that we are spending 2.5 per cent by April 2027 with the ambition to spend 3 per cent in the next parliament when economic conditions allow,' he told Times Radio. 'I agree with the defence secretary that thanks to the chancellor getting our economy back on track by having the highest growth in the G7 that I have no doubt, just as a defence secretary doesn't, that with the growing threats that we're facing that we will be spending 3 per cent in the next parliament.' Chelsea move for £50m Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens
Chelsea are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over Jamie Gittens and want to wrap up a deal before both clubs go to the Club World Cup. Gittens, 20, was the subject of an enquiry from Chelsea in January and it is understood they have approached the German club about a deal in the current window. The England Under-21 winger, who spent time in Chelsea's academy as a child, has been expected to attract bids of more than £50 million, with a release clause of around that value in his contract. The deal will be a full focus for Chelsea with uncertainty over the future of Jaden Sancho, the former Dortmund player who is on loan from Manchester United and whom Chelsea have a contractual obligation to buy for between £20 million and £25 million – having finished in the top 14 of the Premier League – or pay a £5 million exit penalty fee. Chelsea have been active in the market early this year, to bolster Enzo Maresca's squad before the Fifa tournament this summer in America. Liam Delap is set to join from Ipswich Town in a £30 million deal, with Gittens now a target too. Gittens is one of the latest English talents to start their senior careers in the Bundesliga, having arrived at Dortmund in 2020 to play in their development teams. A year ago he helped Dortmund reach the Champions League final, which was somewhat overshadowed by Sancho facing Jude Bellingham in the Wembley showpiece. Earlier this season he became the youngest English player to score in the tournament – aged 20 and 75 days – when he netted against Real Madrid. England interim coach Lee Carsley name-checked Gittens in interviews before Thomas Tuchel took charge, and he has also played for the Under-21s. But the Club World Cup, starting on June 14, has priority over internationals which meant Gittens was not included in the squad for the Under-21 Euros. Dortmund will be at the expanded summer tournament, while Chelsea will play against Los Angeles FC, Flamengo and Espérance de Tunis in Group D. Chelsea have been in the market for a forward this summer as Christopher Nkunku looks set to leave after two years at the club. They were also looking at Alejandro Garnacho in the January window along with Gittens, with the Manchester United winger also allowed to leave this summer.
