The New York Knicks visit the Indiana Pacers for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the NBA Playoffs Sunday. Tip-off from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is set for 8 p.m. ET (TNT/Max). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NBA odds around the Knicks vs. Pacers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
Series: Pacers lead 2-0; Knicks won regular-season series 2-1
Indiana took command of the series with a 114-109 win Friday while covering as a 6-point underdog as the Under (223.5) cashed. F Pascal Siakam led the way with 39 points (15-of-23) as all 5 starters scored in double figures. The Pacers outscored the Knicks 65-57 in the second half to secure the road sweep.
G Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 36 points with 11 dimes, but the Knicks' defense couldn't stop the Pacers shooting from deep as Indiana shot 13-of-30 (43.3%) from beyond the 3-point line Friday. The Knicks had chances late, but G Aaron Nesmith and C Myles Turner each made 2 free throws in the final 14 seconds while Brunson missed a pair of 3-point attempts.

Knicks at Pacers picks and predictions
Prediction
Knicks 110, Pacers 101
BET KNICKS (+110).
The Pacers went up 2-0 in each of their last 2 playoff series and then lost Game 3 in both series, so look for that trend to continue here. The Knicks will be playing this game to keep their season alive as everyone knows that coming back from down 3-0 is nearly impossible, so New York will come out with a different level of desperation and motivation while the Pacers likely won't come out with as much fire. Also, the Pacers have had 2 almost magical performances this series, first in the 138-135 OT win in Game 1 from Nesmith (30 points), then in Game 2 by Siakam, and I don't see anything like that happening for the third straight game. Expect the Knicks to win.
PASS.
If you feel like you need a little insurance, Knicks +2.5 (-115) is fine, but I prefer the plus-money on an outright win.
BET UNDER 223.5 (-110).
The Under is 2-1 in Indiana's last 3 games and hit in both of Indiana's previous Game 3 losses in these playoffs. For New York, the Under is 2-1 in its last 3 games overall and is 2-1 in its last 3 playoff wins.
For the Knicks to win this game, their defense will have to be better, especially in the clutch, and that defensive improvement makes the Under all the more safe here.

Caitlin Clark's Fever Teammate Named WNBA Breakout Candidate

Caitlin Clark's Fever Teammate Named WNBA Breakout Candidate originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Indiana Fever earned praise for having the best group of young players in the WNBA, but it's more than just mega-star Caitlin Clark leading the way. Advertisement ESPN's Neil Paine ranked the young core -- players in their age-25 season or under -- for all WNBA teams and put the Fever at the top of the list. While Paine noted that Clark is the team's brightest star, he also predicted that guard Lexie Hull has been showing steady improvement and could be headed to a breakout season. "Don't sleep on Hull, either; the fourth-year guard out of Stanford has improved each year of her WNBA career and is tracking for a breakout performance," Paine wrote. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) talks to guard Lexie Hull (10).© Brett Davis-Imagn Images Paine added that Clark and Aliyah Boston, the last two WNBA Rookie of the Year award winners, have already found out how to mesh in the Fever's offense. He wrote that Clark serves "the WNBA's ultimate heliocentric perimeter creator and initiator, and Boston scoring inside the arc with high volume and efficiency." Advertisement "When healthy (and both have been extremely durable throughout college and the pros, up until Clark's recent injury), no team has a dynamic duo this good and this young," Paine wrote. But Hull could continue to carve out a big role as well, as she has nearly doubled her previous career-high with 10.7 points per game. She is adding 4.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
