Police urgently seek public's help in locating missing Aussie woman Rachel Walker
Police are urgently appealing for public assistance to help locate a woman missing from Sydney's Inner West. Rachel Walker, 34, was last seen in Newtown around 12pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and has not been heard from since.
Family and friends are deeply concerned for Rachel's welfare, having been unable to contact her for over a week. When she couldn't be reached, officers from Inner West Police Area Command were notified and launched an investigation into her whereabouts.
A close friend of Rachel's told Yahoo News that it's out of character for her to go silent for such an extended period. As of Monday morning, a NSW Police spokesperson confirmed she remains missing.
Rachel is of Caucasian appearance, about 165cm tall with a thin build, blonde hair and blue eyes. She has tattoos on the base of her neck and foot.
She is known to frequent Coogee in the Eastern Suburbs, Newtown and Erskineville in the Inner West.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call Newtown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 as soon as possible.

The teen, Landon Cangiano, and his mother, Nicole, were heartbroken. The bike belonged to Landon's father, Vinny, who died from COVID-19 complications in 2021. Nicole Cangiano posted about the stolen bicycle on Facebook, hoping that someone would see it. Then, to her surprise, the post received more than 570 shares. A woman in the Melbourne community let Nicole Cangiano know that she saw the bike. That's when Landon and his swim coach, who he was with at the time, went looking for the bike. They were able to find it, and they called the Melbourne Police Department, who helped them safely get the bike back. What they're saying The Cangiano family is now feeling grateful to the community that helped them get the bike that means the world to them. "Just to see everybody come together, and they care about us, and they know our story, and it just feels so amazing," Nicole Cangiano said.
