According to a report in News18 Showsha, Sajid wants to recreate the fun and chaos of the first film with a modern touch. Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan, known for their great comic timing, are top choices for the lead roles. However, the script is still being written, and final casting will happen once Sajid is happy with the story. 'Aligning Kartik and Varun's dates will be tough, given their busy date diaries.
The makers are aiming for a late 2026 release," the source added.
