MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Montgomery County man has been sentenced to serve more than a decade in prison after he pleaded guilty to sharing child sexual abuse material, officials said.
The guilty plea stems from an incident that took place in February 2023, which is when officers with the Clarksville Police Department reportedly received information that CSAM was being sent through a file sharing app from an IP address in Montgomery County.

After sharing details with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, authorities discovered that numerous images had been shared from the address.
According to District Attorney General Robert Nash, MCSO detectives identified that the IP address was connected to the home of Kevin Hewins. A search warrant was later executed at Hewins' home and several electronic devices were seized.
Nash said detectives analyzed the devices and 'discovered thousands of saved images of child sexual abuse material.'
On Monday, May 19 Hewins pleaded guilty to several charges including: Aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor over 25 images, sexual exploitation of a minor over 100 images, and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
Hewins was sentenced to serve 12 years in the Tennessee Department of Correction without the possibility of parole. Nash added Hewins will be on the sex offender registry for life.
