Woke Bravo fans freak out over lack of diversity as network airs show about white cowboys in Missouri
Woke Bravo fans are in meltdown mode after the network picked up a show about white cowboys and ranchers in Missouri.
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys premiered on Peacock last year, but has now been moved over to Bravo for its upcoming second season.
Loyal viewers of Bravo's frothy franchises like The Real Housewives, Top Chef and Summer House recoiled in horror after learning that a show about white farmers and ranchers had made its way onto the network.
One fan outrageously claimed that Bravo was turning into the a 'trash MAGA network' for airing The McBee Dynasty.
In a follow up post, the fan admitted that they hadn't even watched The McBee Dynasty yet, but said they were upset over racially diverse shows like Family Karma and Summer House Martha's Vineyard being canceled over low ratings.
'They're not even trying anymore,' added one, while another wrote, 'Filming this over Family Karma and Summer House Martha's Vineyard is insane.'
A third frantically added, 'The end times are coming!'
'We get all these shows of white people and rednecks yet little to no show of people of color - by that I mean Black and Hispanic,' wrote one.
Another asked, 'So very out of place for this show to be on Bravo. Where's the wealth??? The fun??'
However, the fans' inflammatory statement about the series also sparked backlash from other Bravo diehards.
'So much hate for farmers and ranchers, Hope your enjoying the food you eat everyday,' wrote one.
'Why can't there be something for everyone?
'And isn't all of Bravo trash TV anyways? Just don't watch the shows that do not appeal to you,' argued another.
'Really? You assume they are MAGA because of their ranch? Lol! A lot of conservative housewives get the axe,' a third wrote.
A fourth said, 'Tell us how you really feel about American farmers. You're gross.'
Another added, 'A new reality show that features a different area of the country beside the coasts and its immediately "white trash MAGA"'?
Fans were completely divided by the series, with some slamming it for a lack of diversity, while others pushed back and threw their support behind the show
Bravo currently features a number of non-white shows, including The Real Housewives of Potomac, Miami, and Atlanta, Married to Medicine, and Kings Court.
Other shows with non-white casts include Shahs of Sunset, Texicanas, Family Karma, Kandi & the Gang, Mexican Dynasties, and The Real Housewives of Dubai, but they were all eventually canceled due to poor ratings.
The McBee Dynasty, which premiered last year, has been dubbed 'the real life Yellowstone.'
The series follows the high-stakes lives of Missouri cattle rancher Steve McBee Sr. and his four sons as they fight to save their 40,000-acre farm.
As financial pressure mounts, Steve Sr.'s entanglement in a messy love triangle and the fallout from a failed $100 million deal threaten to unravel the family and business.
Meanwhile, sons Steven Jr., Jesse, Cole, and Brayden clash over responsibilities and relationships, all while trying to prove themselves.
Steve Sr. is absent from season two, after the patriarch pled guilty to a multi-million dollar fraud scheme involving federal crop insurance benefits that he was not entitled to receive.
The stakes are even higher this season as Steven Jr. takes the reins from his father, who is facing up to 30 years in prison.
He and his brothers, Jesse and Cole, are gearing up for harvest season in the hope that they can save the family's farm before it falls into foreclosure.
Meanwhile, Bravo recently announced a slew of new programming and renewals coming to the network, including a brand new Housewives instalment, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
New seasons of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Beverly Hills, Potomac, and Orange County were also confirmed, along with Married to Medicine, Southern Charm, and its spin-off Southern Hospitality.
Other programs in the pipeline include a Ladies of London reboot, a spin-off of The Valley featuring an Armenian cast, and a Real Housewives version of Wife Swap.
