Wild Bird Rescue hosts Baby Bird Shower for busy season prep
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A local animal rescue is throwing a party to prepare for a busy season, and you're invited.
The Wild Bird Rescue will host its Baby Bird Shower on Saturday, March 22, from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The day will include refreshments, fun games, prizes for the kids, and a bounce house. At noon, there will be a baby bird egg hunt for the kids.
10 farmers markets across Texas were awarded grants
The Executive Director of the Wild Bird Rescue, Jeff Bryant, said admission is free, but donations are always accepted.
'On any given year, we take in between 1,500 and 2,500 birds,' Bryant said. 'So it gets really busy. So we kick off the year, just celebrate, have everybody come out and see all the new improvements. And if they want to bring donations, as far as cleaning supplies or anything like that, that's wonderful.'
Bryant said the Wild Bird Rescue enjoys events like the Baby Bird Shower because they allow people to see the birds up close and learn their role in our ecosystem and community.
