'Love Island USA' Season 7 adds bombshell new twist to Casa Amor

In "Love Island: USA" Season 7, new singles also come with new rules.
Episode 19 introduced a fresh format to the highly anticipated Casa Amor segment for the popular dating reality television series.
"Think of it as starting from scratch. Brand new couples, brand new relationships, and everyone gets a second chance at love," host Ariana Madix said.
Here's what we know about the new Casa Amor format:

Casa Amor is a staple in the "Love Island" franchise. The twist is the ultimate test to determine the strength of established couples' connections.
The main male and female contestants are split into separate villas and introduced to a new batch of singles. One group remains in the main villa, while the others are sent temporarily to a secondary villa.
Usually, at the end of the experiment, the main contestants must decide whether they want to stay in their original couple or bring a new person to the main villa to further explore the newfound connection.
However, Madix gave the islanders and viewers at home insight into a new format on Episode 19.
"We're doing Casa Amor very differently. You all are officially single islanders again just like going back to day one," Madix said to the main male contestants. "For the first time ever, you'll be in a new couple for the entire time the girls are in Casa Amor."
"The same goes for the girls. They will couple up too with the new boys," she continued.
Madix added that both the main contestants and newcomers will reenter the main villa at the end of Casa Amor.

Maddix told TJ and Amaya that since they were not selected to couple up with the newcomers, they have 24 hours to make a connection or risk being dumped from the island.
Some "Love Island" viewers are excited about the new format, while others are not fans of the changes.
"I HATE the twist of everyone returning to the villa. Does that mean that there's no Casa Amor recoupling episode? The best episode of the season usually???," one user wrote.
Another person added: "Oh EVERYONE returning to the villa at the end of casa amor this year ???? This bouta be TEA."
"casa amor is not supposed to have people at risk of being dumped on the first day," one watcher pointed out.
New episodes come out on Peacock each night Thursday to Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, meaning the only day without a new episode is Wednesday.

Love Island USA's Yulissa Escobar Breaks Silence on N-Word Scandal After Being Kicked Out of Show

On Love Island USA Season 7 Episode 2, Yulissa Escobar left the villa with hardly any on-screen explanation. For those of us who are chronically online, we knew that her exit was because of those videos that resurfaced of her repeatedly using the N-word without any regard for its painful history. Love Island fans vowed to make her time in the Villa as short as possible, but the producers pulled her before she could get too far in the season. Now, Yulissa has come forward with a statement, trying to apologize for using the racist language. She claims she's 'owning' her mistakes, but is it a little too late? After only appearing in just one episode of Love Island USA, Yulissa uploaded a lengthy statement to Instagram apologizing for her blatant use of the N-word. Supposedly, she didn't fully understand the weight of the anti-Black racial slur. 'First, I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using,' Yulissa began. 'Podcast clips from years ago have recently resurfaced, and I want to address it directly.' She continued, 'In those clips, I used a word I never should've used, a racial slur. I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn't trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn't excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It's tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.' According to Yulissa, she has 'changed a lot' since the days when she would appear on unknown podcasts and casually use racial slurs. She says she doesn't speak like that anymore and is moving forward with 'humility and accountability.' Good for her, but it's not going to get her back into the villa. Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock. TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON YULISSA'S STATEMENT? DO YOU THINK SHE DESERVED TO GET CANNED FROM LOVE ISLAND? Love Island USA Cast Member Yulissa Escobar Thrown off Show After Using N-Word

Life comes at you fast. One day, you're looking for a match on Love Island USA . The next day, you're packing your bags and leaving the villa because of your repeated use of the N-word. That's the case for Season 7's Yulissa Escobar, whose flippant use of racial slurs got her booted from the competition. We've got all the details on what you need to know about Episode 2's casting shakeup. Yulissa's controversy started quickly after Peacock confirmed her as part of the Season 7 cast. Two clips surfaced of her on podcasts using the N-word to refer to men from her past. Somehow, people on the internet found those podcasts, but the casting team didn't. Fans lit up her Instagram comments, vowing to use their Love Island USA votes to push Yulissa out of the competition. The fact that one of Yulissa's hometown friends was on Instagram fighting with fans in the comments didn't help her case. Ultimately, it turns out that fans didn't need to use their votes to get Yulissa out of the villa. The producers took care of it. On Love Island USA Season 7 Episode 2, the Islanders were waking up to start their day when the narrator randomly announced, 'Yuilssa has left the villa.' It happened around the 18-minute mark with very little context shared on screen. Peacock did not mention Yulissa's controversial online presence. However, it's safe to assume that's why she randomly left the show. Prior to that, she seemed ready to stir up some quality mess in the villa. She coupled up with Ace Green, knowing good and well he had already expressed interest in Chelley Bissainthe. Yulissa is just one element of a messy start to Love Island USA Season 7. Peacock suffered technical issues ahead of the June 3 premiere, resulting in a nearly 45-minute delay. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the rest of Season 7 can go smoothly. Love Island USA is streaming on Peacock, with new episodes dropping daily at 9/8c. TELL US – WERE YOU SURPRISED BY YULISSA'S DEPARTURE ON LOVE ISLAND USA SEASON 7 EPISODE 2? DO YOU THINK THE CASTING TEAM COULD DO A BETTER JOB AT VETTING THE ISLANDERS? The post Love Island USA Cast Member Yulissa Escobar Thrown off Show After Using N-Word appeared first on Reality Tea.
