'Enough deadly fentanyl to potentially kill millions', Atlanta man indicted on drug, firearms charges
ATLANTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The FBI indicted an Atlanta man after massive amounts of guns and drugs were found at his Georgia homes.
Bartholomew Keeton Harralson, 47, was charged Tuesday by a federal grand jury.
Charges include:
Possession with the Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Heroin,and Marijuana
Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Harralson allegedly possessed 28 firearms, including a machine gun, and hundreds of thousands of pills containing fentanyl and other illicit drugs, the authorities said.
'This armed felon allegedly ran a massive fentanyl pill pressing operation in our community, producing enough deadly fentanyl to potentially kill millions of people,' said U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg. 'Due to the quick action and seamless collaboration of our law enforcement partners, Harralson now faces federal drug and firearms charges, his operation has been dismantled, and countless lives have almost certainly been saved.'
According to U.S. Attorney Hertzberg, the charges, and other information presented in court: On June 5th, law enforcement executed a federal search warrant at the suspect's Atlanta area home.
Once inside, law enforcement reportedly located over 56 kilograms of fentanyl, 84 kilograms of methamphetamine, nearly 10 kilograms of heroin, and approximately four kilograms of cocaine – all in the form of powders and hundreds of thousands of pressed pills.
Law enforcement allegedly located nine firearms, including one converted to function as a machine gun, $145,000 in cash, and a book titled 'How to Avoid Federal Drug Conspiracy & Firearms Charges.' Harralson was arrested at the scene.
Later that same day, law enforcement executed another federal search warrant at Harralson's Douglasville home.
In that residence, law enforcement found:
2 large pill press machines capable of pressing up to 25,000 pills per hour
3 hydraulic presses used to form kilogram-sized bricks of narcotics
more than 37 kilograms of fentanyl
approximately 13 kilograms of methamphetamine
just over 8 kilograms of heroin
more than 6 kilograms of cocaine
In addition, in a machine shop located behind the Douglasville residence, law enforcement found approximately 1,375 pounds of binding agent used to press pills, 564 punch dies to mark the pills, 19 firearms, four drum-style magazines, and a significant amount of ammunition.

Federal judge dismisses Shanquella Robinson wrongful death lawsuit against FBI, State Department
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A federal judge Friday dismissed the wrongful death lawsuit made by the family of Shanquella Robinson against a pair of federal agencies. The FBI and State Department had motioned to dismiss the suit in January due to the alleged lack of jurisdiction over claims made against them. Robinson's estate made the amended claims in November 2024 seeking damages from the agencies based on their alleged negligence in relation to her 2022 death in Mexico. The estate also sought immediate release of related records from the FBI. PREVIOUS: Robinson's family pushes for case to be heard in U.S. Robinson, a Charlotte woman, died while vacationing with friends at a resort in Cabo San Lucas. Court documents show the autopsy report done in Mexico showed the cause of death was a severe spinal cord injury and neck trauma. However, when her body was returned home, a second autopsy by the FBI contradicted the report. In November 2022, the FBI informed Robinson's mother, Sallamondra, 'that it opened an investigation into the murder,' but in April 2023 told Sallamondra, her family and the public that the agency was no longer pursuing federal prosecution of the Cabo Six. In Friday's ruling, U.S. District Judge Max O. Cogburn Jr. agrees with the agencies argument that the family's Freedom of Information Act claim against the FBI and State Department must be dismissed because 'this Court lacks derivative jurisdiction over Plaintiff's FOIA claim.' 'Because the North Carolina court 'never acquired jurisdiction over either the subject matter [FOIA claim] or the [FBI] as a United States agency,' this Court 'can acquire none from the removal under NC Statute 1442.' The Robinson family still has a civil lawsuit against the members of the Cabo Six, accuses them of lying about Shanquella's death and trying to cover it up. Pierre and the surrounding community continue to mourn the loss of a young life.16-year-old Aiden Van Balen was killed in a car crash on June 4th. Aiden had just completed his sophomore year at TF Riggs High School. He loved playing sports and was known for tooling around town on his moped. 'You know he was a buddy to everybody and such a goofball, some of the stories that his buddies talked about you know just, he was just a remarkable young man,' said family friend Brie Korkow. Soon after his death, Korkow started a GoFundMe campaign to ease the financial burdan an unexpected death like Aiden's can leave behind. 'We blew past that, so I'm like I'll up it to ten, blew past that, and now we are well over 25 thousand dollars, so it's just incredible how people come together, and it's such a great platform to be able to support this family,' said Korkow Korkow saiys Aiden's parents have told her they plan to use some of the money to start a scholarship fund in his name. Woman shaken up after Virginia Beach townhome shooting
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. (wavy) — Shana Turner, who is in preparation to move out of her College Square home, was sleeping on a cot Thursday night when someone opened fire on a row of townhomes. Once she heard bullets, she was crawling to exit out of the room she was asleep in. 'It came out through [one] wall to [another] wall and I have pictures to where the bullet was lodged at,' said Turner. There is damage to the exterior of her home and at least five other units that face Level Green Boulevard. Turner admitted she would not feel comfortable sleeping in her neighborhood following the shooting. 'I suffer from severe anxiety, depression and PTSD. This has triggered my PTSD. I felt like I was in a war zone. I never did combat, but PTSD is real,' said Turner. The incident resonated deeply with Turner for two additional reasons. 'Losing my son to senseless violence in 2017; the second reason because we are losing too many of our generations, our young people are killing each other.' said Turner. In an effort to take back the community, Turner has an organization, HR M.A.S.K., that holds public events. For instance, she sponsored a basketball tournament last weekend where attendees were encouraged to wear orange, which is the color that represents efforts to curb gun violence.
