He was found dead in his bedroom at his family home in Walkden on February 20, the court heard.
Vini was born in Brazil and grew up in Portugal before moving to the UK.
The young talent played for the Manchester United youth team at one point but was dropped by the Prem big shots when he was 14-years-old.
Despite this setback, Vini continued playing football for the next five years and was on the books at Warrington Town FC before his death.
However, it was revealed that the teenager had quit football a few months prior to the tragedy, Bolton Coroner's Court heard.
Vini's sister, Mayara De Souza, said that she had noticed his mood change and tried to help.
She said: "He stopped doing the things that he liked to do such as football, going to the gym and seeing friends.
"He started apologising about the way he treated us and we didn't understand what he meant.
"His best friend as well, he said the same to him and he said he doesn't know why."
The teen's self-esteem had also taken a hit when his acne returned after the steroid cream he had been prescribed had run out.
When doctors would not prescribe more of the steroid cream, Vini bought some online from India but his sister told him not to use it.

Vini had booked tickets to travel to Brazil in April, the inquest heard, and was due to return on May 12 before his tragic death.
Cops concluded that Vini died as a result of "self-inflicted means by hanging" after finding him dead back in February.
The inquest heard that Vini stopped going out with his friends after telling his mum that he had taken drugs at a nightclub on one occasion a few months before his death.
A toxicologist's report found no trace of drugs or alcohol in Vini's system when he died.
However, Vini said that all of his friends used drugs which led to him feeling more "isolated" in the last few months of his life.
Sharing the news of Vini's death in February, Warrington Town FC said: "Scorer of the most spectacular goals, Vini was a well respected, much-loved member of the club, and his ability earned him a place training with the first team despite his young age.
"He played for the first team last season in the Cheshire Senior Cup against Cheadle Town, and trained regularly with the first team, appearing in numerous pre-season friendlies over the past couple of seasons."
Assistant coroner Stephen Teesdale said he was satisfied that Vini caused his own death and recorded a conclusion of "suicide".
Addressing Vini's sister and father at the inquest, Mr Teesdale said: "There's nothing more you could have done. You did everything.
"You spotted the problem - depression. You made a plan, you sought professional assistance from a psychotherapist.
"You had a plan to take him to Brazil. There's nothing more you could have done. He had an entirely supportive family. It was to do with how he saw the world."

Crooks already had nine points for two speeding offences and a traffic signal rap. He got a further three — triggering an automatic ban. FA Cup and Uefa Cup-winner Crooks was fined £666 with £110 costs. He was also and ordered to pay a £266 victim surcharge. Crooks - who was awarded the OBE in 1999 - told the court he was now 'retired' and in receipt of a £118,000 a year pension. ‘Time has moved on' – Man Utd wild child Ravel Morrison, 32, targeting Championship transfer as he puts past behind him

RAVEL MORRISON has pleaded for clubs to ignore his wild child past. The former Manchester United wonderkid is targeting a move back to the Championship - but wants to put the past behind him. Morrison was hailed as a whizz-kid of the Old Trafford youth system when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge but he quickly earned the reputation of an unreliable 'bad boy'. He made what turned out to be disappointing move to West Ham and then Lazio, where he only managed eight appearances in 2015. Loan spells at Birmingham City, QPR, Cardiff City, Sheffield United, Derby County and Mexican side at Atlas also didn't work out. But Morrison is wiser than the kid who got into trouble, ended up in court and left Old Trafford on a sour note. Back in September, the 32-year-old signed for the 14th club of his rollercoaster career - Precision FC in Dubai in the UAE second division. He told The Athletic: 'Even now, I can guarantee that if I signed for a club in England, the headline in all the newspapers would be something negative. 'If another player at United gets into trouble, he's always 'the next Ravel'. Anything that anyone does wrong gets linked to my name. 'It pops up on my Instagram and I'm thinking, 'Oh, not again… how many years is this now?'. At West Ham, there were occasions when he missed training because he had been up all night on his PlayStation. And he was accused of attitude issues, timing problems and appeared in court for witness intimidation and criminal damage while at Man Utd in 2011. Ravel Morrison reveals he used to steal boots from Man Utd dressing room to sell and feed his family Morrison was also once fined £7000 by the FA for alleged homophobic comments made on Twitter. But homesick Morrison has set his mind on moving back to England and having one last crack at the second-tier again, where he has already played for six different sides. He said: 'I do believe I can play in the Championship — easy. The frustrating thing is I'm not getting the opportunity. 'My agent has spoken to a lot of sporting directors, chief scouts and heads of recruitment, and we've got really close to an agreement. 'Then they get the manager's opinion and it becomes, 'Ah, but he's done this, he's done that', and they are speaking about things that happened when I was a kid. 'Time has moved on, it's over a decade ago. But it's crazy sometimes how people don't move on.' 'So many people have formed an opinion about me, but those opinions are based on things that happened 10 to 15 years ago. 'I'm 32 now. I've played football around the world and had a good career. I'm not a kid of 16 or 17 anymore. 'But then again, I have to look at myself because it all stems from my own mistakes. I did some things that were wrong and I can't blame anyone but myself.' He has won 20 caps for Jamaica since switching allegiances in 2020. Morrison, who shares the same hometown as Marcus Rashford in Wythenshawe, has his eyes set on returning to where it all began at Carrington. Speaking on the Undr the Cosh podcast last month, Morrison said: "I've got my B licence now - I did it in the summer. '"I want to get into some type of coaching after I retire. That'd be good. I'd like to go back to United!" 2

Dad dies on 'holiday of a lifetime' following sickening Benidorm attack

Dad dies on 'holiday of a lifetime' following sickening Benidorm attack Mike Rydings' attacker has never been traced The attack left Mike in a vegetative state (Image: Hayley Barker ) What was meant to be a 'lads trip of a lifetime', watching football and celebrating birthdays, quickly turned into an unimaginable tragedy. Mike Rydings, then 47, went to the Spanish resort of Benidorm with 30 mates. After a night of enjoying a few pints at a pub and watching the 2018 World Cup, he fell victim to a brutal attack. The group were taking in the sights of the Avenue de Mallorca strip and had just left the Hippodrome Bar when the lifelong Manchester United supporter lost contact with his friends. ‌ In the early hours of June 23, Mike, a builder from Wythenshawe, was assaulted. His nose was broken and he fell onto the ground, hitting his head and sustaining severe head trauma. ‌ He was attacked by one individual from a group of five or six unidentified men. Don't miss a court report by signing up to our crime newsletter here . Mike spent a month unconscious in hospital, with his then-pregnant daughter Hayley and sister Nicola flying out to be by his side as he lay connected to ventilator machines. Mike had travelled to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday and watch the 2018 World Cup (Image: PA ) Article continues below After being flown back to Salford Royal Hospital, Mike spent the remaining year of his life unable to move or speak, in a vegetative state and requiring round-the-clock care. He tragically passed away in August of 2019, he was only 48. His attacker has never been found. Despite the incident sparking an inquiry by the local Spanish authorities no witness statements or police investigations have ever brought Mike's attacker to justice. Speaking on what would have been his 54th birthday, Mike's daughter Hayley said the family has spent years in the dark and "unable to have closure without answers" as they issued another desperate plea for information. ‌ Hayley told the Manchester Evening News: "You can't ever really move on, because you don't have any answers. It's been years and we haven't been told anything. "At the time, there were so many different witness stories. At one point we were told it was a stag party and someone in camouflage clothing. Then we were told it was a bouncer. "One stated that, the night he was attacked, my dad had a drink and was seen backing off with his hands in the air when he was punched to the nose, which broke, and then he fell backwards onto his head. They said they have never been able to get the sound of him hitting the ground out of their head." ‌ Back in the UK, the Greater Manchester Police conducted meticulous inquiries, pulling in over 15 British holiday-goers who witnessed the attack. The Hippodrome bar on Avenue de Mallorca in Benidorm Detectives have described the suspect in the assault on Mike as a white male, in his 20s or 30s, with a larger than average build, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall, and possibly wearing in camouflage clothing. ‌ Hayley, 36, recalled the harrowing moment she found out: "My dad's partner at the time got the call from one of his friends to tell her what had happened. When you hear that, you still never think it will be as bad as what we walked into." "When I first saw him in the hospital and he was lying there with tubes everywhere it was so painful I had to walk back out. "I was pregnant with one of my daughters, and I flew out the next day with my partner. Between me and Nicola his sister we kept going back and forth to make sure he was never on his own. It was so hard on us all. I had a young child at the time too, so it was really difficult." ‌ Mike was eventually flown home and admitted to Salford Royal Hospital. Hayley explained that despite surviving until the following August, he was unable to move or speak, making her feel as though she had 'already lost him' before his life support was withdrawn. Hayley added: "My dad never got to hold her or touch my daughter because he was in hospital. In 2022, I had a son which would have been his only grandson. He had always wanted a grandson." Greater Manchester Police confirmed there had been no updates in the case, which remains in the hands of Spanish authorities. Article continues below Anyone who may have information or remember anything that may resonate from a trip to Benidorm in the summer of 2018 is still urged to contact police with any details they may have. Mike had been wearing a red Hugo boss T-shirt on the night in question and was outside the Hippodrome bar in Benidorm Square when a fight broke out with a group of five or six men.
