Scooter Braun was ‘shocked' over Taylor Swift feud after acquiring masters
In May, the US pop star, 35, announced that she had bought back the rights to all of her music in a deal with private equity firm Shamrock Capital.
When Braun's holding company, Ithaca Holdings, purchased Big Machine Label Group, Swift said in a Tumblr post that she was 'sad' and 'grossed out' – and accused the 43-year-old of being behind 'incessant, manipulative bullying'.

Braun told The Diary Of A CEO podcast on Monday: 'When I bought Big Machine, I thought I was going to work with all the artists on Big Machine, I thought it was going to be an exciting thing.
'She (Swift) and I had only met three times, I think. In my life, three or four times, and one of the times, it was years earlier.
'It was really a great engagement… we respected each other, we had a great engagement. In between that time, since I'd seen her last, I started managing Kanye West, I managed Justin Bieber. I knew she didn't get along with them.
'I had a feeling – this is where my arrogance came in – I had a feeling she probably didn't like me because I managed them. But I thought that once this announcement happened, she would talk to me, see who I am, and we would work together.
'And the announcement came out and I'm calling Scott Borchetta (chief executive of Big Machine Records) and saying, 'Hey, send me her number… and I just talked to this person and they're excited'… and then this Tumblr (post) comes out and says all this stuff. And I was just like, shocked.'
'It's been five, six years, I don't need to go back into it, but what I can tell you is everything in life is a gift.
'Having that experience allows me to have empathy for the people I worked with who I'd always say 'Yeah I understand' but I never knew what it was like to be on the global stage like that.
'I never knew what criticism like that felt like. And like I told you, the biggest gift that I got from that was understanding that all the praise I had received up until that moment was not deserved, and all the hate I got after that moment was not deserved, because none of these people knew me. She didn't know me. This person didn't know me.'
In 2019, Swift announced she would re-record several of her albums in a big to regain ownership of the masters.
A master recording is the original recording of a song and whoever owns it earns revenue through avenues including streaming and use in TV, film and adverts.
To date, Swift has released new versions of her previous albums Fearless (2008), Red (2012), Speak Now (2010) and 1989 (2014), with Reputation and her self-titled debut yet to be re-released as Taylor's Versions.
Braun, who is now retired from talent managing, also discussed the musicians he worked with including Canadian pop star Bieber, who he helped to launch to fame as a teenager.
Asked why there are 'so many' tragedies surrounding young musicians, he said: 'At this age I feel a lot of guilt.
'I feel a lot of guilt because I worked with so many young artists, and like I told you, I hadn't taken the time to look at myself or do the therapy myself until I was older.
'So I didn't understand at 25 years old, at 27 years old, at 30 years old, that they each were coming from very unique backgrounds of their own stuff, with their own families and their own childhoods, and growing up this way and being seen by the whole world and being judged by the whole world at a very young age.'
He added that 'human beings are not made to be worshipped' and said he now understands the importance of addressing mental health issues.

‘I bought 5 Nobody's Child dresses for an event and one got so many compliments'
With a formal awards ceremony in the calendar, I turned to one of my favourite high street fashion brands to see if I could find the perfect dress without breaking the bank Dressing for formal events such as weddings, graduations and evening 'dos can be tricky – you want to meet the dress code yet still be fairly comfortable, and ideally don't want to spend a fortune on an outfit you're unlikely to wear very often. And so when I was invited to a work awards ceremony and found myself with nothing to wear, I immediately clicked onto the Nobody's Child website – a favourite of mine for pretty and flattering dresses for all occasions. I bought five different styles to try on – including one with pockets and a £69 surprise hit – and the one I ended up wearing was a surprise last-minute addition to my basket; it was worth it though, as it received so many compliments from other guests that evening... Red Nova Midi Dress £85 here This colour was a real curveball for me, as I never wear red, and rarely stray from black, however I was really pleasantly surprised by how much I like this colour on me. The dress was super comfortable and gets bonus points for having pockets. I didn't keep it in the end as I felt like it was more of an everyday dress than an evening one, but it has encouraged me to be a bit braver with colour. If you're looking for an alternative, New Look's Red Puff Sleeve Midi Dress is £29.99. Black Ruffle Tiered Cassidy Midi Dress £89 here This is the one that I thought would be my favourite it reminds me of an old favourite Reformation dress I own, but it actually didn't suit me as much as I though when it was on; again, it was too casual for the occasion, and the waistband sat too high on me – under my bust rather than on my waist. It was very light and breezy for summer though, and again, loved the pockets! New Look does another alternative to this here too, the Black Multiway Tiered Midi Dress, priced at £55.99. Black Balloon Sleeve Zola Mini Dress £99 here Something slightly different from the others, but I really loved this one. I loved the flattering balloon sleeves, and how cute it looked with chunky heels. There were two reasons why I didn't pick it, however: one, I thought the hem was a bit short for a work event, and two, I'd be getting ready by myself in a hotel room, and would have no one to tie up the bow on the back for me. This would be great for Christmas parties, though. Topshop clean trapeze mini dress in black, £55, is a similar shape. Black Tiered Clara Midi Dress £69 here I thought I would hate this one as I dislike anything that clings or skims the body, but this was a surprise hit. It's way more flattering and slimming than I thought, plus you can wear a bra with it (unlike most of these other options), and it folds up very small in a suitcase (like this £39 Next dress). It was a close contender, pipped only to the post by... Black Puff Sleeve Zora Midi Dress £130 here ...the Zora dress, which was the one I wore, and which got me so many compliments. I loved the flattering shape, the statement sleeves and the little flash of skin from the slash neck and low back (you can probably still get away with wearing a bra though). Although more expensive than the others, I felt so comfortable in this, and know I'll get loads of wear out of it.

The money-savvy parent prepares a meal for her family ahead of time, so they can enjoy cinema classics without spending a fortune. Taking inspiration from cinema favourites, the mum packed hot dogs and nachos for her family, using a few clever tricks for mess-free meals. Social media users loved the "genius" tip when blogger Casey Major-Bunce @majormumhacks shared it on TikTok. She says it helps her save around £70 per trip. Casey explained: "Stop doing this every time you go to the cinema and try these hacks instead. Honestly, it's going to save you so much money during the summer holidays. You don't need to keep re-mortgaging your house every time you go to the cinema." In her demonstration, she used plastic Costa Coffee cups for cinema-ready nachos. The savvy shopper added the nachos to the cup before pouring salsa into a small pot, which she could then fit inside the cup, even once she put the lid back on. She also prepared a flask ahead of time to take cheese sauce to the cinema to be enjoyed with the nachos. In her caption, Casey shared: "For the cheese: Use 8 slices of burger cheese and 100ml of milk. Pop in the microwave for 1 minute and then stir. Mix together, then add in the microwave for a further 15 seconds. She added that you could try the trick without a coffee cup. "You don't need to use a cup, just have a bag of Doritos and add the cheese inside," the blogger suggested. Casey also prepared hot dogs for her family to eat at the cinema, reports the Mirror. "Heat them fully to a flask that has been heated with boiling water and pop the hot dogs in," she suggested. The savvy mum said she'd saved over £70 by packing her own food and drinks for a family outing. "We saved £46.80p just on this food! We also took all of our own drinks and sweets and always save over £70 a time!" she shared.
