James Bond fans are convinced that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as the new 007 - and it's all because of a brand partnership with a watch company.
Omega took to Instagram to announce their latest partnership with Taylor-Johnson, including the actor in a joint post. You can check out the photo below. Fans were quick to point out that James Bond has been wearing an Omega watch since 1995, and that this must mean that Taylor-Johnson - who has been rumored to be the next Bond for quite some time - is hinting at his takeover of the role.
It's worth noting that when the film franchise first began, Bond wore a Rolex. Specifically, he wore a Rolex from 1962's Dr. No until 1974's The Man with a Golden Gun. When The Spy Who Love Me came around, continuing the Roger Moore era and leading up to Timothy Dalton, 007 switched to a Seiko. Omega has been the official James Bond watch since 1995, with Daniel Craig being the last Bond to wear an Omega on his wrist.
It could be a reach, but given that Taylor-Johnson reportedly auditioned and screen-tested for the role back in 2022 - which were both met with positive feedback and made him the 'front-runner' for the role - it's definitely possible. A new Bond movie has not yet been announced, but we're sure some news is on the way what with the Amazon acquisition.
"If they're welcoming Aaron Taylor-Johnson into the Omega Brand Ambassador Family then he's definitely the next James Bond," one person wrote.
"The fact that Aaron Taylor-Johnson just signed with Omega and Henry Cavill is with Longines doesn't bode well for Cavill becoming James Bond," wrote another.
"Is this confirmation he is the new Bond? Coincidence? I think not," one fan said.
"Just announce him as Bond and make some movies already," said another.
"He's definitely got the job," someone else tweeted.

Morten Harket has revealed he has Parkinson's disease. The singer of a-ha, the band behind the 1985 hit and innovatively animated music video 'Take On Me,' shared the news during an interview with the group's biographer. 'I've got no problem accepting the diagnosis,' Harket said. 'With time, I've taken to heart my 94-year-old father's attitude to the way the organism gradually surrenders: 'I use whatever works'.' Harket, 65, explained why he wanted to share his diagnosis publicly. 'Acknowledging the diagnosis wasn't a problem for me; it's my need for peace and quiet to work that has been stopping me. I'm trying the best I can to prevent my entire system from going into decline,' he said. 'It's a difficult balancing act between taking the medication and managing its side effects. There's so much to weigh up when you're emulating the masterful way the body handles every complex movement, or social matters and invitations, or day-to-day life in general.' According to Mayo Clinic, 'Parkinson's disease is a movement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time.' Harket had 'advanced brain surgery' at the Mayo Clinic, which along with medication, 'have softened the impact of his symptoms,' the a-ha biographer, Jan Omdahl, wrote. 'In June 2024, Morten underwent a neurosurgical procedure in which electrodes were implanted deep inside the left side of his brain. These are connected to a small pacemaker-like device placed under the skin of the upper chest that sends electrical impulses through the electrodes into the brain,' Omdahl wrote. 'The method is called deep brain stimulation (DBS) and is among the most advanced treatments in neurology. The procedure had the desired effect: with the right electrical impulses now reaching Morten's brain, many of his physical symptoms practically vanished. In December 2024 he underwent a similar procedure on the right side of his brain, which was also successful.' Harket's voice, however, has been affected, he said. 'The problems with my voice are one of many grounds for uncertainty about my creative future,' Harket said.

A new James Bond has been revealed for 007: First Light – and he's 26
Amid the endless chatter about who might eventually assume the role of James Bond in the movie franchise, there has finally been some news. An official new James Bond has been announced, and he's young at 26. He'll be appearing in a forthcoming Playstation game called 007: First Light that is being released in 2026 and he looks very different to any Bond that has come before. For a starter, he's Gen Z. Playstation has said: 'In 007 First Light, play as James Bond, a young, resourceful, and sometimes reckless new recruit, and discover an origin story for the first time. 'This is Bond as you've never seen him before — the youngest Bond fans have ever met. In 007 First Light, at only 26 years old, he isn't the fully fledged 007 you know from the tux-and-martini days but a man with sharp instincts, sometimes reckless, who is still learning when to fight, when to bluff, and when to disappear into the shadows.' Read more: Play Video In the story, the new digital version of Bond is working as a Navy air crewman for MI6 training to be a fully operational spy. The story has been developed in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios. Amazon acquired the rights to James Bond earlier this year in a move that was viewed as historic. It isn't yet clear what exactly the purchase will mean for the franchise, although the studio has committed to honouring the legacy of 007 in any further movie releases. Players of 007: First Light will get to travel the world to exotic locations from 'snow-drenched mountains to sun-soaked beaches' and meet iconic characters from the films and books, including Q, M and Moneypenny. There will also be the addition of new characters, including James Bond's mentor Greenaway, who will teach Bond the art of combat. More details are to follow ahead of the game's launch on PlayStation 5 in 2026. Last year one of Sean Connery's most iconic Bond films, Goldfinger, celebrated its 60th anniversary, and City AM's Deputy Life&Style Editor took an Aston Martin for a spin through the Alps to celebrate. The last James Bond film to be released in cinemas was No Time To Die, Daniel Craig's swansong, in 2021.
