The Ford Mustang lost control and was blocking the left lane when the driver from Ferndale got out of his car, according to Michigan State Police Second District on X. A 39-year-old woman from Ferndale, driving a Ford Fusion struck the man. Neither driver involved in the crash had a driver's license, according to police. The Mustang driver went over the median wall and landed on the left shoulder of the freeway. He was transported to the hospital.
