‘Asim Munir tried to approach my wife…': Imran Khan slams Pakistan Army chief
Imran Khan, Pakistan's jailed former prime minister, has accused Army chief general Asim Munir of displaying a "vindictive nature," alleging that Munir turned against his wife, Bushra Bibi, after being removed from the position of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief during Khan's tenure.
Imran Khan claimed that Asim Munir tried to approach his wife through intermediaries to discuss the matter.
In a post on X on Monday, Imran Khan said his wife categorically declined, saying that she had no involvement in such affairs and would not meet him. 'It is General Asim Munir's vindictive nature that is behind Bushra Bibi's unjust 14-month incarceration and deplorable inhumane treatment in prison,' Imran Khan said
Further, Khan said his wife has been targeted for 'personal vengeance' and that even during Pakistan's darker times of dictatorship, this never happened. Talking about the accusations against his wife, Khan said: 'She was accused of aiding and abetting, an allegation for which no proof has ever been presented, and she is arrested in one false case after another.'
He also added that his wife is a private citizen and a homemaker with no political involvement, who he has not met in the past four weeks.
'According to jail regulations, I was scheduled to meet her on June 1 but even that meeting was denied, in complete violation of court orders,' Khan, who has been in jail for nearly two years, said.
Imran Khan also talked about the events of May 9 when military installations were targeted by India. He said the events were a part of the 'London Plan' and the sole purpose of it was to eliminate Pakistan's largest political force, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Calling it a "premediated plan" he said that several of his party leaders and workers were unlawfully imprisoned.
Khan also alleged that the anti-terrorism courts and several judges are also involved in this campaign against his party. Adding that they refuse to examine the CCTV camera footage, Khan said 'not a single judge has the courage to demand those tapes and deliver a verdict based on evidence".
The cricketer-turned-politician also called for the formation of a judicial commission to conduct an investigation into the events of May 9 and November 26, 2024. Slamming the judiciary in Pakistan, he called them a disgrace and that they are driven 'not by justice but by a desire to protect their own jobs and privileges,' Khan said.

23-year-old BTech graduate robs Uber, Rapido cab drivers in Delhi to repay debt, arrested
A BTech graduate aspiring for the Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam was arrested for allegedly robbing bike taxi drivers in Delhi after booking their services on Rapido or Uber apps, the Delhi Police said on Thursday. According to the police, the accused, identified as Javed Khan, 23, who hails from Rajasthan, allegedly committed the thefts at gunpoint on two occasions by taking the drivers to isolated spots at Gandhi Vihar and then fleeing with their motorbikes, phones, and cash. Khan has been staying in Delhi at a cramped location in Mukherjee Nagar since 2024, along with other students aspiring to be bureaucrats. He told the police that he decided to rob Rapido and Uber drivers to repay his debt of Rs 35,000 that he owed to a friend, Rahul. The police said that the first robbery took place early on May 31, in which Javed booked an Uber bike service from New Delhi railway station to Gandhi Vihar. His modus operandi was to ask the driver to cancel the ride and take him to the destination offline under the pretext that the driver could keep the fare commission, the police said. 'As soon as the rider arrived at 1.30 am, Javed told him that he would cancel the ride, to which the driver agreed. Around 2.30 am, when they reached Gandhi Vihar Drain, an isolated place near Yograj Colony, Khan held a country-made pistol at the waist of the driver, Sonu, and threatened him to stop the motorcycle,' said an officer. 'The accused then robbed him of the motorcycle, a mobile phone, and cash Rs 2,000 at gunpoint and fled away on the looted motorcycle,' Raja Banthia, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said. In another similar incident, Rapido driver Pradeep Singh told the police that he got a booking from Nizamuddin Railway Station to Gandhi Vihar on Monday, said an officer. However, on reaching the railway station, the 'customer', Javed Khan, cancelled the ride, and on reaching an isolated area, Singh was robbed of Rs 600 cash and his mobile phone, he added. Tracking the CCTVs from NDLS to Gandhi Vihar in Timarpur, the Delhi Police traced Khan to the Sankalp Bhavan area on Wednesday. Khan is a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan, the police said. On interrogation, Khan revealed that he was in debt and was prompted by his friend to resort to crime so that he could repay his loan. 'Rahul provided him a country-made pistol with 17 live cartridges of .315 bore. and chalked out a plan for Khan to rob online motorcycle riders during odd hours. As per his planning, Khan booked the rides from different railway stations in late-night hours,' DCP Banthia said.

How Thane Techie Spied For Pakistan's ISI, Shared Info On Indian Warships
Mumbai: A week after a 27-year-old man from Maharashtra was arrested in an alleged espionage case, it has now emerged how he spied for his Pakistani agents and the information that he shared with them. Ravi, a mechanical engineer based in Thane, had shared intelligence about Indian warships and submarines with his Pakistani handler. He had provided inputs about 14 Navy ships, out of which the inputs about five ships were accurate. For this, he received money from Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), the police said. Ravi was "honey-trapped" by a Pakistani agent who had befriended him on Facebook, posing as a woman, officials had earlier said. He was found sharing sensitive information with the Pakistani operative through WhatsApp, officials said. Based on a tip-off, he was arrested on May 29 by the Thane unit of the Anti-Terrorism Squad. He has been charged with criminal conspiracy and relevant sections of the Official Secrets Act. Two others who were taken into custody along with him were left off after an inquiry. Indian agencies had heightened surveillance in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and the subsequent India-Pakistan tensions. Over a dozen men and women have been arrested on charges of sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives. This includes two influencers, travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra and YouTuber Jasbir Singh. Both had over a million subscribers on YouTube and had travelled to Pakistan multiple times. They are currently being probed. A student from Punjab and a security guard from Haryana are among others who face charges of leaking classified information across the border.
