Johor Committed To Empowering Development Of 600 Accountants
JOHOR BAHRU, June 24 (Bernama) -- The state government is committed to empowering the development of highly skilled human capital by providing 600 special slots to produce professional accountants through international certification programs: the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Johor Education and Information Committee chairman, Aznan Tamin, said that this initiative aims to strengthen professional career pathways in accounting for Johoreans, thereby opening more international-standard educational opportunities through the provision of globally recognized certification programs.
He stated that Yayasan Peneraju acts as the main driver in supporting the state's human capital development by providing special funding for the 'work-up skill' program.
"This offer is open to various groups including SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) leavers, working professionals, and degree holders. A total of 600 slots are specially provided for Johoreans, an inclusive step to ensure no one is left behind in high-impact skill development.
"In an effort to provide comprehensive support to participants, Sunway TES also plays a crucial role as the official ACCA training provider. They will provide facilities and professional instructors to ensure Johoreans receive high-quality training in line with international standards," he said via his Facebook post.
Earlier, Aznan attended a coordination meeting for the ACCA and ICAEW programs, which is a collaboration between the Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) and strategic partners.
Also present at the program's coordination meeting was the Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera, Ibrahim Sani.
At the same time, Aznan also expressed his appreciation and thanked all strategic partners who remain committed to working with the state government in empowering youth with knowledge, skills, and future opportunities.

'Our aim has always been to have a joint chamber of commerce between Malaysia and Pakistan—legally recognised by both governments and authorised to operate in both countries. 'The chairmanship will rotate, alternating between representatives from Pakistan and Malaysia. This is the only way to truly foster trade and investment between the two countries,' he told Bernama at the MPBC Networking Reception and Dinner, today. KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The establishment of the National Seed Council (MBN) Advisory Board, comprising various experts, was among the key decisions made at the MBN meeting chaired by Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu today.
