Nike releases perfect ad to commemorate Scottie Scheffler's win at PGA Championship
Nike does it again. This time, with what might be a perfect ad to congratulate Scottie Scheffler for his 2025 PGA Championship.
"Best player in the world? Guilty." That's all it says. That's all it needs to say.

Clearly, the guilty part is in reference to his arrest in Louisville a year ago during the PGA Championship.
And as Golfweek's Adam Schupak wrote: "The world No. 1 went from locked up to locked in and at the tender age of 28 he joined Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as just the third player to win three career majors and 15 PGA Tour titles. "

Gunman Opens Fire on ‘No Kings' Protest in Salt Lake City
A gunman opened fire on thousands of protesters in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday evening. One person has been critically injured while a suspect has been taken into custody by police, authorities have said. 'We can confirm the shooting resulted in one person being critically injured,' the agency said in a social media post. 'The patient has been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries'. An estimated 10,000 people were in attendance at the 'No Kings' rally that began in Pioneer Park and marched north through the downtown area, the Salt Lake City Police Department said. Gunfire was heard at around 8 p.m., with video posted online showing protesters fleeing in terror. Police were seen with guns drawn approaching a man standing next to a building near 200 South and State Street. A Fox 13 News crew reported seeing the man, who was taken into custody, with blood on his hands. 'We have a person of interest in custody,' the police department said. They are appealing for people to leave the area and asking for anyone with photos or videos of the incident to upload them here. Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox said 'The shooting at tonight's protest in Salt Lake City is a deeply troubling act of violence and has no place in our public square'. 'The violence we've seen today in Salt Lake City and elsewhere in the country is horrific—it's just not who we are. We deserve to feel safe, especially when exercising our First Amendment rights,' Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall shared online. 'Thank you to the Salt Lake City Police Department for their quick action tonight to protect lives and support those marching peacefully. My heart is with you, SLC.' This is an unfolding story and will be updated as more details emerge.

Shohei Ohtani hits 2 HR, Clayton Kershaw pitches 7 scoreless innings as Dodgers regain 1st place over Giants
Shohei Ohtani hit two home runs, while Clayton Kershaw pitched seven scoreless innings to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers back into first place atop the National League West with an 11-5 win over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. Ohtani put the Dodgers on the board first with a leadoff homer off Landen Roupp, who left a 91 mph cutter up high in the strike zone. Roupp caused more trouble for himself in the second inning, walking Teoscar Hernández and Max Muncy on five pitches apiece. Both runners came around to score on an Andy Pages single and Michael Conforto double. Advertisement With two runners on and one out, Roupp intentionally walked Ohtani but then left a sinker in the middle of the zone for Mookie Betts to smack for a two-run double. The Giants starter lasted 1 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on four hits, five walks and no strikeouts. Ohtani added his second home run in the sixth, pulling a high, outside curveball from reliever Tristan Beck over the fence in right-center field. That was the 250th home run of Ohtani's spectacular eight-year MLB career, 79 of which have been in less than two seasons with the Dodgers. Surprisingly, Ohtani hadn't hit a home run in his past 10 games before. That may have made him press a bit, compelling him to chase pitches he normally might have held back on, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. "I think it seemed like a while," Roberts said, via "I think that there was a lot of chase down below in the last 10 days. Tonight, he got the ball, used the big part of the field and put some good swings together." Advertisement Perhaps even more encouraging for the Dodgers was Kershaw's best start since returning to the rotation on May 17. Making his sixth appearance on the season, the veteran left-hander allowed only three hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven innings. In his past two starts, Kershaw has given up one run in 12 innings, striking out 12 batters and walking only one. "In the moment, I can think of some pitches outside myhead that I'd like to have back, that I'd like to throw better," Kershaw said after the game. But there's no restrictions physically, health-wise, which is great." Saturday's start dropped Kershaw's ERA to 3.25 for the season, though he's striking out 6.5 batters per nine innings, which would be the lowest rate of his career. However, he's also 12 strikeouts away from reaching 3,000 for his career. "Maybe by September I'll get there, we'll see," Kershaw said, via "It's obviously a very cool thing and it's starting to get a little more on the forefront of the mind, but who knows how long 12 could take me at this point? It might be until August, so we'll see.' Advertisement Only 19 other pitchers have hit and surpassed that mark in MLB history, including two other active pitchers, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander. With Saturday's win, the Dodgers regained a one-game lead to lead the NL West at 42-29, just ahead of the Giants at 41-30. Dustin May starts for Los Angeles in the series finale on Sunday night, while Kyle Harrison gets the nod for San Francisco.

Jeff McCulloch/ The regional stops of the Rivals Camp Series are in the books with the Rivals Five-Star at the Indianapolis Colts' practice facility coming up later this month. Today, we conclude our look at the best players at each position through the regional events with the defensive backs. The 2027 blue-chipper out of Oak Mountain (Ala.) High has the attention of Clemson and programs across the SEC, including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and LSU. Advertisement In Atlanta, Aparicio-Bailey was sound rotating and flipping his hips, sticky in coverage and aggressive making plays on the football. Our first live eval of Aparicio-Bailey was through the roof -- as a defensive back capable of playing cornerback, safety or nickel. CENSERE GAYLORD - Los Angeles Gaylord stood out in Los Angeles among another star-studded field. We were impressed by the four-star's ability to mirror receivers in coverage and then turn and run in coverage. Gaylord was one of several 2027 defensive backs to turn heads over the course of the Rivals Camp Series. He has plus length on his frame and speed to stick in coverage. There is still plenty of room for him to fill out his frame. Advertisement USC, SMU, Auburn and Texas all offered this offseason. DAVONTRAE KIRKLAND - Dallas Kirkland is a hybrid defensive back with the skill-set to work in and at cornerback and safety with length, quickness and also downfield speed to stick in coverage. We saw all of that and more in Dallas. Kirkland, who also shines as a receiver for Waco (Texas) University High, has a fantastic make-up to be a safety on Saturdays. The four-star prospect committed to Baylor on Saturday. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH BAYLOR FANS AT NASCAR MCCOY - Atlanta McCoy was sharp in coverage in Atlanta and was in contention for MVP honors. The 2026 four-star safety from Buford (Ga.) High School is instinctual and sound in coverage on the back end and his experience playing cornerback at the high school level is a key element to his game. McCoy came away with several interceptions in Atlanta. Miami, Auburn and Michigan are all after the four-star safety. JERRY OUTHOUSE, JR. - Dallas Outhouse Jr. took home MVP honors in Dallas out of a loaded field of talented defensive backs. Outhouse was sticky in coverage, able to turn and run with an array of different pass-catchers. We loved the four-star defensive back's ability to quickly close on passes with intensity. Outhouse's physicality on the back end -- able to play off and cover inside and out at a consistent clip -- in addition to getting his hands on several balls along the way. We project the 2027 four-star as a safety at the next level. SMU, Notre Dame and Tennessee are among the early teams in play here.
