Sebastian Aho Reveals Major Advantage Hurricanes Have Over Capitals

Yahoo21-05-2025

The Carolina Hurricanes will be looking to take a 3-1 series lead over the Washington Capitals in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series. Carolina has overwhelmed the Capitals in this series, and they've put the top-seed in the Eastern Conference on the ropes.
Heading into Game 4, the Hurricanes have found multiple different ways to win games. Part of this is due to the strong core group that they have, and how everyone has come together for a common goal.

Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho discussed this fact and talked about an advantage that Carolina tends to have over opponents.
"So far in this postseason, it's been kind of our strength that different guys have been scoring goals and creating offense. That's kind of our thing, come wave after wave after wave, put the pressure on them.", he said.

The Hurricanes are entering Game 4 with a lot of confidence, especially since they were excellent at home during the regular season. Carolina went 31-9-1 in front of their home fans during the year, and they have gone 4-0 during the postseason so far.

Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour has been happy with his team's performance so far, but knows the series isn't over yet.
"We're doing a lot of things right," Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour said. "I've loved the three games we've played. There's certainly parts of the game where you'd like to be better, but we're playing a great team. I mean, they're going to put their will on us too at times. I've been very, very happy with the way we've played all three games."
Game 4 between the two sides is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. ET on Monday.

Advertisement Speaking at a Ferrari paddock club event before the Spanish Grand Prix, Hamilton reflected on his career, passion for racing, and his ongoing journey with Ferrari, and dropped a heartfelt line that immediately turned heads. 'I love my job the same as I did at the beginning,' Hamilton said with a grin. 'And don't tell my boss, I'd do it for free. Fortunately, I don't have to.' It was a candid moment that spoke volumes. Now in his first season with Ferrari, Hamilton has made it clear that his motivation comes from something deeper than money or trophies. With almost two decades in the sport, he remains energized by the daily grind and challenge of elite racing. 'There's only 20 of us in the world out of 8 or 9 billion that get to do this.' 'But you have to remember it's all part of the journey.' He likened his new chapter with Ferrari to climbing a mountain from its base determined to rebuild and reach the summit again. 'We're at the lower part of the mountain,' he said. 'And we're building up to get back to the top. That's what I'm working on.' Lewis Hamilton Sends Clear Message to Ferrari After Disappointing Spanish GP

Lewis Hamilton Sends Clear Message to Ferrari After Disappointing Spanish GP originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a frustrating outing at the Spanish Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has made it clear that Ferrari's true focus should now shift towards 2026. Advertisement While the seven-time world champion continues to adjust to life at Maranello, he isn't holding back when it comes to identifying what needs improvement and setting long-term goals. Hamilton acknowledged that this season is more about laying groundwork than immediate results. 'In Maranello, we have a fantastic simulator,' he said. 'But since I arrived, I have suggested pages and pages of things that I believed needed improvement. And we are working on it; we are continuously working to improve and the guys have already made progress.' Hamilton emphasized that Ferrari's technical strength, particularly in wind tunnel correlation, are far ahead of what he's seen at other teams. Still, the message was clear: the real breakthrough won't come in 2025, but in the years beyond. Lewis Hamilton after finishing third in the 2025 Miami Grand Prix Sprint Casey-Imagn Images 'I will soon tell the team that it will be time to focus on the next year,' he said. 'This season is about building a foundation, getting to know the tools, in terms of structure and processes, and refining them so that when we reach 2026, we will have the machine we really want.' Advertisement The comments come on the heels of a difficult Spanish GP weekend, where Ferrari once again struggled to match the race pace of Mclaren. While fans may hope for podiums and victories in 2025, Hamilton appears more focused on reshaping the team's infrastructure and unlocking long-term potential. It's a bold and strategic mindset and a reminder that while 2025 may be a building year, Hamilton is already targeting a title win with Ferrari when the next era begins in 2026. Rankings Georgia's opponents based on ESPN FPI

ESPN recently released their preseason Football Power Index (FPI) rankings. Georgia Bulldogs fans learned that the Dawgs are ranked No. 2 on FPI with a rating of 26.6. The Football Power Index is a predictive ranking system that quantifies team strength. It is used to predict games and season results in football. FPI is most useful in college football because team strength is tougher to gauge due to the high number of teams in Division I and the uneven strength of conferences. Advertisement FPI views the SEC as the strongest conference in football since the SEC has the top three teams and five of the top 10 teams in the FPI rankings. The Big Ten has three top 10 teams, the ACC has just one, and Notre Dame rounds out the list. ESPN's projections have Georgia making the College Football Playoff 78.9% of the time, which is the second most of any team outside of the Texas Longhorns. Georgia also has the second-highest odds to win the SEC and make the national championship. Even still, Georgia's projected record sits at 10.1-2.4, which ranks fourth behind Texas, Ohio State, and Penn State. They have a gauntlet of SEC opponents to face and a challenging 2025 schedule.
