Chenchus set to get roof over head under Indiramma Indlu
Hyderabad: Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the Chenchus who have remained without any house would be provided about 10,000 housing units under Indiramma Indlu.
He said that nearly ten thousand Chenchu families have been identified under the saturation method in the four Integrated Tribal Development Agencies (ITDAs) of Utnoor, Bhadrachalam, Munnanur and Eturunagaram in the State and that they are being granted Indiramma houses. Minister said that a total of 9,395 houses will be sanctioned in Asifabad (3551), Boath (695), Khanapur (1802), Sirpur (311), Adilabad (1430), Bellampalli (326), Aswaraopet (105), Achampet (518), Mahabubnagar (153), Parigi (138) and Tandur (184).
The Minister reviewed the progress of Indiramma houses with the officials at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the State Governor Jishnu Dev Varma has suggested on many occasions that permanent houses should be built in tribal areas, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has also made many suggestions on many occasions for the development of tribal areas, especially the construction of their residential houses.
'The Chenchus are a tribe among the tribals who rely on forests. They make a living by hunting in the forests, collecting and selling forest produce. It is unimaginable that they will have a permanent home other than small huts, and they have not left those forest areas to live there. That is why the government has decided to allocate Indiramma houses in the same place where they live. No government has even thought about this in decades,' he said.

Health Minister reviews power supply readiness in govt. hospitals
Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, focusing on uninterrupted power supply in government hospitals and monsoon-related preparedness. Highlighting the need for seamless electricity in emergency medical services, the Minister directed officials to assess and improve the functioning of power generators across government hospitals. He underscored the importance of sanitation and inter-departmental coordination in preventing outbreaks and ensuring timely availability of medicines in government health facilities.

Indiramma Housing Scheme aims to fulfill dreams of all eligible poor people to own a house: Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
The Indiramma housing programme is a continuous process aimed at fulfilling housing dreams of all eligible poor people in a phased manner across the State, said Minister for Revenue, Housing and Information and Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. Despite financial constraints, the People's Government (Congress government) has allocated ₹22,500 crore for the first phase of the Indiramma Housing Scheme this year, he said. He was speaking after handing over sanction letters to the beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing Scheme under Edulapuram municipal limits in Khammam on Wednesday. As many as 3,500 houses are being sanctioned to each Assembly Constituency in the first phase of the scheme. Additionally, houses are being allocated to Chenchus (one of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) in a saturation mode. The Minister asserted that the houses are being sanctioned in a transparent manner to deliver the benefits to the deserving poor people. Our government is working with resolute commitment for the welfare of poor and marginalised sections of the society, he said, adding that it was the aim of the Congress government to construct 20 lakh Indiramma houses to fulfill the dreams of all homeless poor people to own a house in a phased manner. The BRS government belied the aspirations of homeless poor people by depriving them of a roof over their heads during its nearly 10-year rule, he charged. Khammam Collector Muzammil Khan and Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt, among others were present. Later, the Minister laid foundation stones for various road works in Khammam rural mandal.

He praised Mr. Lokesh for giving a vivid detail of the experiences gained by him during his marathon walk across the State, while noting that it had been exactly one year since the YSRCP's misrule had come to an end.
