Athlete marks 'Jaws' 50th anniversary with 60-mile swim
Swimmer Lewis Pugh circumnavigated Martha's Vineyard to mark the 50th anniversary of the movie "Jaws" and draw attention to the plight of sharks.
The horror movie "Jaws," which took American beachgoers by storm in the mid-1970s, turns 50 this summer.
The legendary Steven Spielberg-directed shark film, famous for its terrifying two-note John Williams musical intro (dun-dunn... dun-dunn), first hit theaters on June 20, 1975.
In the film, a massive great white shark hunts people swimming in the water surrounding the fictitious Amity Island.
To celebrate "Jaws" turning the big 5-0, the blockbuster is returning to movie theaters this summer.

'The Traitors' Season 4 cast revealed: 2 Delaware figure skaters and an Eagles mom
The most treacherous show on reality TV is back with a whole new cohort. "The Traitors" revealed its Season 4 cast on June 13, according to a press release from Peacock. The lineup includes up stars from franchises like "Big Brother," "Love Island" and "The Real Housewives," as well as a certain celebrity football mom. In line with the trend of having a celebrity relative on the cast − last season saw Zac Efron's brother Dylan Efron become one of its winners − the newest season will include Donna Kelce, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. Viewers will have to wait for the season premiere before learning which contestants will be Faithfuls and which will be Traitors. The movie follows the aftermath of an "otherworldly" woman's arrival into a family's yard. "Already grieving the death of her husband, Ramona (Deadwyler) faces a new fear when this mysterious figure appears outside her farmhouse," an official synopsis states. With the woman continually creeping closer, Ramona must protect her children from the chilling grasp of this haunting entity whose unknown intentions are anything but peaceful." The film also stars Okwui Okpokwasili, Peyton Jackson and Russell Hornsby. Deadwyler also recently starred in Netflix's The Piano Lesson.
