Final Four 2025: Final betting odds for Auburn vs. Florida

USA Today05-04-2025

Final Four 2025: Final betting odds for Auburn vs. Florida The Tigers will be underdogs in their Final Four battle with Florida.
The Final Four is finally here. Auburn will square off with the Florida Gators at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday for the right to face either Duke or Houston in the NCAA Tournament national championship game on Monday night.
Auburn entered the NCAA Tournament as the top seed, but they are still raw at this stage. Auburn will play in just its second-ever Final Four game on Saturday, and its first since 2019 when it lost a heartbreaker to Virginia at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Tigers have an advantage this time around, as they faced off with every Final Four squad during the regular season, including Saturday's opponent, Florida.
Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl shares what he hopes will go differently on Saturday in their rematch with the Gators
"Well, I don't know if at that point of the season for some reason we had a little bit of a fatigue. Florida came in and played great. They're playing better now," Pearl said Friday. "Prior to the Florida game and since, I've been saying they're the best team in college basketball. It's not a knock on my team, Houston or Duke. (Walter) Clayton has been the best guard on the floor every single night. Clayton can't be the best guard on the floor tomorrow. Their front line can't be the more aggressive and the more physical tomorrow. If they are, we lose. If they're not, we win."
How do the oddsmakers see this game playing out? Here is the final line for Auburn's Final Four game with Florida.

Auburn vs Florida prediction, pick:
Free throws will be the factor in Saturday's game. Auburn has connected on over 70% of their free throw shots once this NCAA Tournament, while Florida has dipped below 75% only once. Saturday's game will be close, but a free-throw battle seems inevitable. In this case, Florida will have the advantage.
Prediction: Florida 82 Auburn 78

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth's reaction to Aaron Rodgers signing revealed

Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth's reaction to Aaron Rodgers signing revealed Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth's initial reaction to the Aaron Rodgers signing has been revealed — and he's ready to chase a Super Bowl. ESPN's Brooke Pryor reported that Freiermuth was on a plane when the Rodgers signing news broke — and this is what the Steelers tight end told her: "I'm excited that Aaron [Rodgers] is a part of the locker room and we can focus on doing all the right steps to compete for a Super Bowl." It's comforting that the team still hasn't lost focus on what truly matters — bringing the seventh Lombardi to the Steel City — as the Rodgers waiting game did little to instill confidence in Pittsburgh's 2025 season. While the Rodgers-to-Freiermuth connection is one Steelers fans can excitedly look forward to, let's not forget Pittsburgh's WR1 DK Metcalf, who spent time catching passes from the four-time MVP during the infamous UCLA throwing session this offseason. Paul Maurice provides update on 3 injured Panthers ahead of Game 5

The Florida Panthers gathered at the Baptist Health IcePlex on Tuesday morning following their first loss of the conference final the night before. Before climbing aboard a flight back to Raleigh, a small group of Panthers players skated while others did off ice work, which is generally the case on travel days. Advertisement Among that small group of skaters were a trio of notable names. Injured players Sam Reinhart, A.J. Greer and Niko Mikkola were all on the ice Tuesday, a good sign toward either or all of them suiting up for Game 5, which is set for Wednesday night at Lenovo Center. 'They all skated today, we'll see how they are tomorrow,' said Panthers Head Coach Paul Maurice. 'It's what we expected, it's what we hoped for.' All three are expected to take part in Florida's morning skate in Raleigh, and from there, we'll see if Maurice is given the green light for any of them to play that night. Reinhart was injured after taking a hit from Carolina's Sebastian Aho during Game 2, while both Mikkola and Greer suffered injuries during Game 3 in Sunrise. Advertisement Jesper Boqvist has been filling in for Reinhart on Florida's top line and he'd be the one likely to come out if Reinhart is able to return. Greer would reclaim his spot on the left side of the fourth line, where Nico Sturm lined up on Monday, and Mikkola would team back up with Seth Jones, moving Dmitry Kulikov to his usual spot next to Nate Schmidt and bump Uvis Balinskis back off the lineup card. We'll see how they all look when they hit the ice on Wednesday. Maurice did provide some signs of optimism, for what it's worth. 'We'll put them on the ice again tomorrow,' Maurice said. 'Maybe twice.'
